RULES AND REGULATIONS PLEASE READ TIIE RULES BEFORE ENTERING of the St. Andrews St. Clements Agricultural Society to enter in the classes. Junior and 4-H members, memberships are $1.00 and Handicrafts Homemaking and adults and seniors memberships are $3.00, which allows exhibitors 4 entries in classes 1- 36 inclusive. Additional entries are $0.25 each. 1.

PROVINCIAL AGRICULTURAL SOCMTIES' GUILD COMPETITION RUIJS & REGULATIONS

1. Competition is open to all quilt exhibitors who have not won frst prize in the Agricultural Societies' Provincial Quilt Competition in the past three years. 2. The judging criteria used for judging is included in the Judging Standard's book. 3. Entry must be hand quilted in the traditional manner. No commercial or hand guided machine quilting will be allowed for 2071. 4. Quilts must have an appropriate title. 5. Quilts must be at least I52 cmx 178 cm (60" ){70'),to be considered forthe competition. 6. Each society will select two quilts at their fair to participate in the district competition. Up to Three quilts will then be chosen at district competition to go on to the provincial competition. 7. Exhibitors may enter more than one quilt in this competition; however, they may only have one quilt advance to the provincial finals. 8. Any quilt may be entered in competition at as many fairs as the exhibitor wishes, however, it may only represent the society where it was first entered in the Quilting Bee" competition and won. The exhibitor must advise societies at the time of entry if the quilt is a winner at a previous

fair.

If an exhibitor does not wish to participate in "The Quilting Bee" competition, the runner-up quilt will be selected to represent the society in the district competition. 10. The Provincial winner ofthe Quilt Competition will receive apriz-e of $300.00. second place $200.00 and third place quilt winner $100.00. At the end of the competition, the quilts will be returned to the quilter. 11. Pictures of the winning quilts and exhibitors are to be kept each year and placed in a Traveling album. 12. Atthe district level prize moneys of $20.00 will be awarded forthe two top quilts. 13. Pre-stamped and Cut Quilt Kits are not allowed to enter; However, Block-of-the-Month Quilts are eligible for the competition. 14. The owners are responsible for insuring their own quilts. The sponsors, societies, and MAAS will not be liable for damage or loss. 9.
