Author Arnaldo Castellucci Dr. Castellucci graduated cum laude in Medicine at the University of Florence in 1973 and he specialized in Dentistry at the same University in 1977. From 1978 to 1980 he attended Continuing Education Courses in Endodontics at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry with Prof. Herbert Schilder and in 1980 he spent four months in Professor Schilder’s Endodontics Department, where he practiced on patients and carried out research on the Scanning Electron Microscope. Since then, he runs a practice limited to Endodontics. Dr. Castellucci is Past President of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE) and Active Member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), where he served as Secretary from 1981 to 1983. Since 1985 he has been an Active Member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE). He was President of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA) from 1990 to 1992. From 1983 to 2000 he was Adjunct Professor of Endodontics at the University of Siena Dental School and from 2001 to 2014 Adjunct Professor of Endodontics at the University of Florence Dental School. He is currently Adjunct Professor of Endodontics at the University of Cagliari Dental School and since 2008 he is Professor of Surgical Endodontics for the postgraduate course in Oral Surgery at the Federico II University of Naples. Honorary Member of the Ukrainian Medical and Stomatological Academy. He is the Italian translator of “Clinical and Surgical Endodontics. Concepts in Practice”, by Frank, Glick, Simon and Abou-Rass published by Piccin. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Italian Journal of Endodontics, Giornale Italiano di Endodonzia, and Chief Scientific Director of Informatore Endodontico. He is also the Founder and President of the “Warm Gutta-Percha Study Club”. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Endo Tribune and Scientific Consultant to the journals Endodontic Practice, Endodontic Practice US and is a member of the Editorial Board of Clinical Dentistry. Dr. Castellucci is also the Founder and Chairman of the Micro-Endodontics Training Center, based in Florence, where he teaches and holds hands-on courses in Clinical and Surgical Endodontics. He has published more than 60 articles in the most prestigious Endodontic Journals. In 1993 he published the textbook EndodonziA (Ed. Martina, Bologna), which was updated and translated into English in 2004 with the title EndodonticS (Ed. Martina, Bologna).
