Un torneo que, año tras año, se ha consolidado como una cita ineludible para los grandes nombres del tenis mundial, y también para los miles de aficionados que siguen con pasión esta competición en un entorno único.

Mallorca se sitúa un año más en el epicentro mundial del tenis con la celebración de una nueva edición de la Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group, que tendrá lugar del 21 al 28 de junio en Santa Ponça.
Los jugadores se darán cita en la isla para participar en este torneo rodeados de un entorno idílico y las condiciones óptimas que Mallorca ofrece en esta época del año para la práctica del deporte.
El tenis brinda la magia de poder disfrutar de dos elementos a la vez: por un lado, la práctica deportiva y, por el otro, el paisaje. Es un deporte abierto, que respira naturaleza. Y con el Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group, ya consolidado como un torneo imprescindible en el calendario, Mallorca tiene la oportunidad de demostrar, una vez más, que hay mucho para ofrecer los meses de menor actividad. Que más allá de nuestras playas, tenemos un entorno magnífico, con zonas de alto valor medioambiental y paisajístico.

Once again, Mallorca becomes the global epicentre of tennis with the celebration of a new edition of the Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group, taking place from 21 to 28 June in Santa Ponça.
Players will gather on the island to take part in this tournament, surrounded by an idyllic setting and the ideal conditions that Mallorca offers at this time of year for practising sport.
Tennis offers the unique magic of combining two elements: the physical activity itself, and the natural beauty of the landscape. It is an open-air sport, one that breathes nature. Un año más, sin duda, el mejor tenis sobre hierba llega a Calvià con una nueva edición del Mallorca Championships presented by ecotrans Group, consolidado ya como uno de los torneos de referencia en el circuito ATP 250, y una cita ineludible en la antesala de Wimbledon.
Desde el Ayuntamiento de Calvià, es un honor dar la bienvenida a los jugadores, equipos técnicos, familiares y aficionados que nos visitan con motivo de este evento.
Esta competición nos ofrece la oportunidad de disfrutar del talento de algunos de los mejores tenistas del mundo, a la vez que refuerza el vínculo entre el deporte profesional y nuestro municipio, un destino ideal para la práctica de actividades deportivas durante todo el año.

Nos espera una semana repleta de tenis del más alto nivel, con jugadores como Ben Shelton, Gaël Monfils y Casper Ruud, reciente campeón del Mutua Madrid Open, compitiendo sobre la hierba de Santa Ponça. A todos ellos les deseo la mejor de las suertes en su camino hacia el trofeo y la oportunidad de inscribir su nombre en el palmarés del torneo.
Desde el All England Club, consideramos que tenemos un papel importante como guardianes del tenis sobre hierba. Por ello, apoyar torneos como el Mallorca Championships es motivo de orgullo. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the fans attending the Mallorca Country Club for the fifth edition of the Mallorca Championships, presented by ecotrans Group.
There will be plenty of fantastic tennis for you to look forward to, with players including Ben Shelton, Gaël Monfils, and Madrid Open winner Casper Ruud all competing on the grass courts during the coming week. At the All England Club, we believe there is an important role for us to play as guardians of grass court tennis and our long-standing support of grass court tournaments, such as the Mallorca Championships, is a continued source of pride for us. The event team here in Mallorca have been hard at work preparing the best possible quality grass courts for the players to train and compete on in the lead up to Wimbledon. As our groundstaff would attest, keeping a living surface like grass in perfect condition throughout a tournament is not an easy task. Well done to all involved.

EL CEO DEL E|MOTION GROUP Y DEL TORNEO, EDWIN WEINDORFER, CELEBRA EL QUINTO ANIVERSARIO DEL EVENTO DESTACANDO EL TRABAJO EN EQUIPO, EL COMPROMISO LOCAL Y LA MAGIA DE SANTA PONÇA COMO CLAVES DEL ÉXITO.
Señor Weindorfer, este año celebramos la quinta edición del Mallorca Championships. ¿Qué significa para usted este hito?
Significa mucho. Llegar a la quinta edición es un motivo de orgullo, porque demuestra que el torneo ha encontrado su lugar - no solo en el calendario ATP, sino también en el corazón de los aficionados, los jugadores y la comunidad local. Cuando empezamos en 2021, fue una apuesta valiente traer un torneo de hierba del circuito ATP a Calvià. Pero, paso a paso, ha crecido hasta convertirse en algo muy especial.
¿Cuál diría que ha sido la clave de ese éxito?
Ha sido, sobre todo, el trabajo de distintos equipos que se han convertido en uno solo. Pilar Carbonell, que lidera nuestras operaciones en España desde 2022, y Fabian Kainz, director del Mallorca Country Club, han desempeñado un papel fundamental. Junto con sus respectivos equipos, consiguen que lo imposible sea posible. Su compromiso y visión han dado forma a cada aspecto del torneo, desde el nivel deportivo hasta el ambiente que se respira. También quiero expresar mi profundo agradecimiento al director del torneo, Toni Nadal. Y una mención especial para todo el equipo que trabaja entre bastidores. Su labor muchas veces pasa desapercibida, pero es absolutamente esencial.
Este año el torneo cuenta con un plantel de jugadores de altísima calidad. ¿Qué representa eso para ustedes?
Es una gran satisfacción. Tener nombres como Casper Ruud, Ben Shelton, Gaël Monfils o el campeón Alejandro Tabilo habla del nivel que ha alcanzado el torneo. Es una señal clara de consolidación. Muchos de ellos repiten, y eso no es casualidad: valoran el ambiente único que se respira aquí, la calidad de las instalaciones y el entorno en general. Algunos incluso han descubierto Mallorca como destino para sus vacaciones. Es un orgullo ver cómo el torneo ha calado entre los jugadores del circuito internacional.
¿Qué importancia tiene el apoyo de los patrocinadores y socios?
Es fundamental. Este torneo no sería posible sin ellos. Quiero agradecer especialmente a ecotrans Group, nuestro presen-
ting partner en esta quinta edición. Su apoyo nos ha permitido seguir desarrollando el torneo – no solo para los jugadores, sino también para el público. Pero hay muchos más: patrocinadores privados e instituciones públicas como la Agència d’Estratègia Turística de les Illes Balears, o la fundación Calvià 365 que nos han respaldado desde el principio. Su implicación refleja una creencia compartida en el valor del deporte y de la comunidad, y nos alegra mucho contar con todos ellos.
El Mallorca Championships no es solo tenis, ¿verdad?
No, en absoluto. Aunque el deporte es el centro del evento, también se trata de la experiencia en su conjunto - el entorno, el ambiente, y la mezcla de visitantes y locales. Tenemos la suerte de contar con un lugar precioso, con sus pistas de hierba, la terraza y las vistas a las colinas de Santa Ponça. Eso crea un entorno relajado y abierto –muy mallorquín– y tanto jugadores como aficionados lo aprecian mucho.
¿Qué le gustaría decir a los visitantes de esta edición?
Un simple y sincero gracias. Tanto si venís por primera vez como si volvéis cada año, sois quienes dais vida al torneo. Espero que disfrutéis de los partidos, del sol y de todo lo que el evento tiene que ofrecer. Y a los jugadores - gracias por volver y dar lo mejor de vosotros. ¡Que tengamos otra gran semana de tenis!

Mr Weindorfer, this year marks the fifth edition of the Mallorca Championships. What does this milestone mean to you? It means a great deal. Reaching a fifth edition is something we’re proud of, because it shows that the tournament has truly found its place - not only on the ATP calendar, but also in the hearts of the fans, the players, and the local community. When we started back in 2021, it was a bold step - to bring an ATP grass-court event to Calvià. But step by step, it has grown into something quite special.
What would you say has been the key to that success?
It’s really been the result of different teams becoming one. Pilar Carbonell, who has led our Spanish operations since 2022, and Fabian Kainz at the Mallorca Country Club have both played crucial roles - and together with
their respective teams, they regularly make the impossible possible. Their dedication and vision have helped shape every part of the event - from the sporting quality to the atmosphere that surrounds it. I’m also deeply grateful to our tournament’s director Toni Nadal. And a very special mention to the wider team behind the scenes - their work may often go unnoticed, but it’s absolutely essential.
This year’s player field is especially strong, with top international names on the list. What does that mean for the tournament?
It means a lot. Having players like Casper Ruud, Ben Shelton, Gaël Monfils, and our defending champion Alejandro Tabilo really shows how far this tournament has come. It’s a clear sign that Mallorca Championships has earned its place on the tour. What makes us especially proud is that many of these players are returning - not just because of the tennis, but because they truly enjoy the atmosphere here. Some have even discovered Mallorca as a holiday destination. That says everything. We’ve created something players genuinely want to be part of, and that’s incredibly rewarding.
How important is the support of your partners and sponsors?
It’s absolutely essential. This tournament wouldn’t be possible without them. A particular word of thanks goes to ecotrans Group, our
presenting partner for this fifth edition. Their support has allowed us to continue developing the event – not just for the players, but also for the spectators. But there are so many others –private sponsors, and especially the public institutions like Agència d’Estratègia Turística de les Illes Balears, or the Calvia365 foundation, who have supported us from the very beginning. Their involvement reflects a shared belief in the value of sport and community, and we’re truly grateful to have them all on board.
The Mallorca Championships is not only about tennis, is it?
No, not at all. While the sport is of course the centrepiece, it’s also about the overall experience – the setting, the atmosphere, and the mix of locals and visitors. We’re lucky to have such a beautiful venue, with its grass courts, the terrace, and the views over the Santa Ponça hills. It creates a relaxed, open environmentvery Mallorcan in spirit - and that’s something both players and fans really respond to.
What would you like to say to this year’s visitors?
Just a heartfelt thank you. Whether you’ve come for the first time or return every year - you bring the energy that makes this tournament what it is. I hope you enjoy the matches, the sunshine, and everything the event has to offer. And to the players - thank you for coming back and giving us your best. Here’s to another great week of tennis!

Tiene pezuñas, cuernos y un gusto muy particular por el césped de pista. Es local, un poco travieso (pero encantador) y ya se ha ganado el título no oficial de rey de las colinas de Santa Ponça. Señoras y señores, con ustedes: Champi, la nueva mascota oficial del Mallorca Championships.
Hablamos con este boc balear amante del tenis antes de que se zampe la pista central.
Champi, ¡bienvenido al Mallorca Championships! ¿Cómo te sientes siendo la nueva mascota oficial?
És un somni! ¡Un sueño hecho realidad! Llevo años saltando por estas colinas, viendo cómo crece ese césped tan bonito. Y ahora... ¡pam! Estoy en el centro de todo. Vamos, que soy muy GOAT, ¿no?
Has dicho “GOAT”… ¿broma o título oficial?
¡Las dos cosas! Soy una cabra de verdad, claro. Pero también represento al Greatest (tournament) Of All Time. Este torneo lo tiene todo: sol, vistas al mar, tenis del bueno… y ese césped que está diciendo “cómeme”.
Hablando de césped… Se rumorea que planeas comértelo todo al acabar el torneo. ¿Es cierto?
Confirmado. Me portaré muy bien durante todo el campeonato, pero cuando se juegue el último punto… digamos que tengo una cena pendiente en la pista central. Solo un bocadito. O cinco.
Estás muy orgulloso de tus raíces mallorquinas. ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del entorno del torneo?
Las colinas de Calvià, sin duda. Me encanta subirme arriba del todo, sentir la brisa y ver los partidos desde lo alto. Es el mejor palco que hay. Y cuando el público aplaude… se me eriza el pelo (aunque no se note con tanto rizo).
¿Qué has estado haciendo desde que te convertiste en la mascota del torneo?
¡No he parado ni un momento! Sesiones de entrenamiento (sobre todo saludar y bailar), pruebas de menú, abrazos a fans… Y, por supuesto, alguna que otra siesta bajo los algarrobos. Es un trabajo duro... pero alguien tiene que hacerlo.
¿Algún mensaje para los fans?
¡Claro! Venid a disfrutar. Aplaudid fuerte, traed sombrero, y si me veis por ahí, ¡chócala con la pezuña! Vamos a hacer de este torneo el más grande de todos los tiempos.
No le pierdas de vista durante el torneo. Si ves a Champi merodeando cerca de la pista, no te preocupes. Cuando eres el GOAT… ¿quién te dice que no?

We caught up with this grass-loving Balearean boc to get the inside scoop-before he munches on Centre Court.
Champi, welcome to the Mallorca Championships! How does it feel to be the official mascot?
És un somni! A dream come true. I’ve been hopping around these hills for years, watching the courts grow greener every season. And now-bam-I’m in the middle of the action. Pretty GOAT, right?
You just said “GOAT” - was that a joke or a title?
Both! I’m a real billy goat, of course. But I’m also here to represent the Greatest (tournament) Of All Time. I mean, look at this place: sun, the nearby sea, world-class tennis, and grass courts that are just chef’s kiss.
Speaking of grass, we’ve heard a rumor you’re planning to eat the courts after the final. True?
You heard right. I’ve been so respectful all season, but once the last ball is hit... let’s just say I’ve got dinner reservations on Centre Court. Just a little nibble. Or five.
You’re quite proud of your Mallorcan roots. What’s your favorite thing about the tournament site?
Oh, easy. The hills. I love climbing up above the club, catching the breeze, and watching the matches from the top. Best seat in the house. And when the crowd cheers? Gives me goosebumps - under the fur, obviously.
What have you been up to since becoming the mascot?
Oh, it’s been non-stop! Training sessions (mostly waving and dancing), taste-testing catering menus, hugging fans… And of course, sneaking in a few naps under the carob trees. It’s a tough job - but someboc’s gotta do it.
Do you have a message for the fans?
Sure! Come join the fun. Cheer loud, wear hats, and if you see me wandering around, give me a hoof-five. Let’s make this the GOAT tournament together.
Look out for Champi around the grounds during the tournament. He may try to sneak onto the court - but hey, when you’re the GOAT, who’s going to stop you?

En junio de 2021, se llevó a cabo con gran éxito la emocionante primera edición del ATP 250 Mallorca Championships, un evento inolvidable debido a su contexto y singularidad. Esta competición colocó a Mallorca en el epicentro del escenario internacional, atrayendo a los mejores tenistas del mundo, entre ellos destacan figuras como Novak Djokovic y Daniil Medvedev, quien ganó este primer torneo.
La segunda edición, celebrada en junio de 2022, tuvo como gran campeón en la categoría individual a Stefanos Tsitsipas. En el torneo participaron grandes conocidos como Daniil Medvedev, número 1 del mundo en ese momento, Nick Kyrgios y Pablo Carreño Busta.
En 2023, el Mallorca Championships vivió su tercera edición, destacando la primera vez que Christopher Eubanks llegó a una final ATP, llevándose la victoria. Este torneo será recordado por la emotiva despedida de Feliciano López, dejando una huella especial en la historia del evento.

MALLORCA CHAMPIONSHIPS TURNS FIVE: A LOOK BACK
In June 2021, the inaugural edition of the ATP 250 Mallorca Championships took place with resounding success, leaving a lasting impression due to its unique context and significance. This prestigious competition put Mallorca at the forefront of the international tennis stage, attracting the world’s top players, including notable figures like Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev, who won this first Mallorca Championships.
The second edition, held in June 2022, saw Stefanos Tsitsipas emerge as the singles champion. The tournament featured prominent names like Daniil Medvedev, who was ranked world No. 1 at that time, Nick Kyrgios, and Pablo Carreño Busta.
In 2023, the Mallorca Championships witnessed its exciting third edition, highlighted by Christopher Eubanks reaching his first ATP final and securing a victory. This tournament will be remembered for the heartfelt

SILENCIOSOS DE LA PISTA
Detrás de cada partido vibrante del Mallorca Championships hay un equipo igual de concentrado: los ball kids. Maxence (12 años) y Eva Marie (15) son dos de los más de 60 jóvenes encargados de que todo funcione a la perfección.
Para ellos, ser recogepelotas es una gran responsabilidad. “Tienes que estar muy pendiente del marcador y de la actitud de los jugadores. Aprendes a comunicarte con tus compañeros solo con miradas”, cuenta Eva Marie, que ya lleva varios años participando en el torneo. Maxence, por su parte, recuerda los nervios de su primer partido sobre hierba: “Estaba muy orgulloso de estar allí, aunque lancé una pelota demasiado alta”, ríe.
Más allá de la precisión, destaca la ilusión de vivir el tenis tan cerca de los profesionales. “Intento copiar cómo juegan. Me encantaría estar algún día en su lugar”, confiesa Maxence, que pone en práctica lo aprendido en sus clases de tenis.
Pedro Tirado, el coordinador de los ball kids desde la primera edición en 2021, explica que la selección es exigente: se valora no solo el conocimiento del tenis, sino también la actitud, la responsabilidad y el compromiso. El entrenamiento comienza varias semanas antes del torneo, en grupos grandes y más reducidos, para que todos lleguen bien preparados. “Son un equipo impresionante: puntuales, dedicados y siempre dispuestos a aprender”, afirma.
La experiencia de participar en un torneo profesional deja momentos inolvidables. “Nunca olvidaré un día con muchísimo viento, hace tres años. Tenía que sujetarle una sombrilla a Tsitsipas y el viento soplaba tan fuerte que no solo salía volando el parasol… ¡casi salgo volando yo también!”, recuerda Eva Marie riendo. Muy especiales son también los instantes tras la final, cuando los jóvenes invaden la pista para sacarse la foto con el ganador. Para los ball kids, la semana acaba con una mezcla de alegría, cansancio y tristeza… y la certeza de haber sido parte de algo grande.

THE SILENT LITTLE HEROES OF THE COURT
Behind every thrilling match at the Mallorca Championships stands an equally focused team: the ball kids. Maxence (12) and Eva Marie (15) are two of more than 60 young volunteers who help ensure everything runs smoothly on court.
For them, being a ball kid comes with great responsibility. “You have to be very aware of the score and the players’ mood. You learn to communicate with your teammates through glances alone,” says Eva Marie, who has already taken part in several editions of the tournament. Maxence recalls the nerves of his first grass-court match: “I was really proud to be there, even though I threw one ball way too high,” he laughs.
Beyond precision, what matters most is the excitement of being so close to the pros. “I try to copy how they play. I’d love to be in their shoes one day,” admits Maxence, who puts what he observes into practice during his training sessions.
Pedro Tirado, who has coordinated the ball kids since the tournament’s first edition in 2021, explains that selection is demanding: it’s not only about tennis knowledge, but also attitude, responsibility, and commitment. Training begins weeks before the tournament, in both large and small groups, to ensure everyone is fully prepared. “They’re an amazing team - punctual, dedicated, and always eager to learn,” he says.
Taking part in a professional tournament leaves lasting memories. “I’ll never forget that extremely windy day three years ago. I had to hold an umbrella for Tsitsipas, and the wind was so strong that not only did the umbrella fly away – I nearly did too!” Eva Marie recalls, laughing. Also unforgettable is the moment after the final, when the kids rush onto the court to take a photo with the winner. For the ball kids, the week ends with a mix of joy, exhaustion, and a touch of sadnessalong with the certainty that they were part of something truly special.
