Shakedown – Salou

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

A poca distancia de las asistencias y del núcleo urbano de Salou, el recorrido del Shakedown repite ubicación e itinerario mixto tierraasfalto, en la zona Emprius. Su facilidad de acceso y observación hacen del tramo de pruebas del RallyRACC un inmejorable punto de inicio de la carrera. El recorrido es un auténtico anticipo de los tramos que se correrán el viernes y también de la especial urbana de Salou que se disputará como última del itinerario del sábado en el Passeig Jaume I. Con un total de 2,97 km de longitud (999 metros de tierra y 1,98 km de asfalto) el Shakedown cuenta con dos zonas bien delimitadas para el público, con excelentes facilidades de acceso y aparcamiento, aunque con posibilidad de que se llenen, por lo que se aconseja llegar con tiempo y utilizar alternativamente alguno de los aparcamientos de los barrios circundantes.

ZONAS DE PÚBLICO ZP1

Amplia zona virada muy espectacular de transición entre las superficies de tierra y asfalto. La mayor parte del trazado se encuentra por debajo del nivel del público, generando un estadio alrededor de la misma y facilitando así la visibilidad y la colocación del público. Acceso a pie desde el núcleo urbano de Salou hasta la zona Emprius, o en coche por la C-31B. Zona habilitada de aparcamiento de fácil acceso y muy cerca del tramo. Posibilidad de que se llene, se aconseja llegar con tiempo o utilizar alternativamente alguno de los aparcamientos de las calles cercanas.

ZONAS DE PÚBLICO ZP2

Frenada fuerte sobre asfalto con ángulo a la izquierda de más de 90º, pocos metros antes de la llegada. La colocación de los espectadores debe ser en un lugar elevado, tras las vallas de seguridad, que al mismo tiempo proporciona una buena visibilidad de la zona. Acceso a pie desde el núcleo urbano de Vila-seca (Vía Máxima) hasta el cruce (750 metros). No hay aparcamiento habilitado.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Just a short distance from the service and the Salou town centre, the Shakedown will follow the same route and itinerary (mixed, gravel and tarmac) as last year, in the area known as Emprius. The ease of access and great view turn the shakedown of the RallyRACC into an unmatched starting point of the event. The route is a true preview of the stages that are going to be raced on Friday, as well as of the urban special in Salou, the last stage to be raced on Saturday on Passeig Jaume I. With a total of 2.97 km in length (999 metres on gravel and 1.98 km on asphalt) the Shakedown has two well-delimited areas for the public, with excellent access and parking facilities. However, they might fill-up quickly, which is why it is advisable to arrive early enough and to use any of the alternative parking facilities in the surrounding neighbourhoods. with the transition from gravel surface to asphalt. The biggest part of the layout runs below the level at which spectators are located, thus creating a stadium-like area around the route, facilitating visibility and the positioning of the public. Access: Walking from the Salou town centre to the Emprius area or by car following the C-31B road. Parking: Easy-to-access, especially prepared car park, close to the stage. It might get filled-up. Therefore we recommend arriving early enough and using one of the car parks in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

SPECTATOR AREAS ZP2

Strong braking on tarmac with an angle > 90º, a few metres before the finish. Spectators must locate themselves in a raised place, behind the safety barriers, which also provides for a good view over the area. Access: Walking from the town centre of Vila-Seca (Vía Máxima) until the intersection (750 m). There is no dedicated parking area.

SS 1/SS 4 – Caseres

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Tramo idéntico al disputado los dos últimos años. La parte inicial de la especial es muy rápida y un poco más estrecha que la segunda. El tramo arranca en la población de Caseres, que le da nombre. Una vez llegados al cruce de Arenys de Lledó (que se pasa recto) la especial se vuelve más ancha, primero llaneando con ligera subida para acabar en bajada, piso excelente para aprovechar toda la amplitud del trazado.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP1

Situada en la primera zona del tramo, a pocos metros de la salida, se encuentran una serie de curvas de radio medio y piso bastante estrecho, además de algunos rasantes, todo ello antes de llegar al cruce de Arenys de Lledó. Zona de mucha velocidad. Ubicación segura en las zonas elevadas de los márgenes de los cultivos. Se accede por el camino de tierra de unos 2 km que sale del propio municipio de Caseres y va paralelo al tramo o desde Arenys de Lledó. Aparcamiento en el propio acceso, siempre dejando un carril libre para no bloquear el camino, ¡todos los accesos son vías de escapatoria en caso de emergencia!

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP2

Zona donde la especial termina su ascensión y empieza a bajar dirección a la población de Bot. En ese punto confluyen diversas pistas provenientes del parque eólico. Se trata de una izquierda-derecha en ligero rasante que se llega después de una derecha de 90º, todo bastante ancho y con buena visibilidad y segura. Se accede desde el Pk 791,6 de la N-420 tomándose la pista al parque eólico y a unos 2 km se encuentra el cruce descrito. Aparcamiento en la zona adyacente a la propia pista de acceso al tramo.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP3

Lugar muy interesante al tratarse de una fuerte frenada sobre tierra para afrontar un ángulo cerrado a la izquierda sobre asfalto sucio, situado a 100 metros justos antes de la meta. Ubicación segura en las zonas elevadas y más alejadas del punto de frenada. Se accede a pie desde Bot donde se puede aparcar en el casco urbano o en el campo de futbol.

ZP1 ZP2 ZP3

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The stage is identical to the stage run in the last two years. The initial part of the special is very fast and narrower than the second part. The stage starts in the village of Caseres, which gives the name to the special. After the intersection in Arenys de Lledó (which is passed straight) the special becomes wider, first going flat with a light ascent, to finish going down on an excellent surface to make use of the whole width of the road.

Final upward section of the special and start of the section going down to the village of Bot. Several roads coming from the wind farm meet here. It is a left-right bend on a light gradient that is reached after a 90º right-hander, on a rather wide track with good visibility. Access from Kp 791.6 of N-420 road following the track to the wind farm and continuing about 2 km to reach the described junction. Easy parking area next to the stage access track.

Located in the first section of the stage, a few metres from the start. SPECTATOR AREA ZP3

A very interesting place as there is a strong braking point on gravel to challenge a narrow angle to turn left on dirty asphalt, located exactly 100 metres before the finish. Safe location on the raised areas, away from the braking point. Walking access from Bot, you can park in the town centre or inside the soccer field of the village.

SS 2/SS 5 – Bot

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

La especial recibe el nombre del pueblo desde donde arranca: Bot. El tramo, que circula por la pista RT-10, pasa a ser una constante ascensión hasta la última zona de asfalto. El piso, lleno de grava, lo hace ser un tramo de excelentes condiciones para poder aprovechar toda la trazada. La primera parte es más lenta y virada, la segunda llegando a final de tramo es más rápida y con bastantes curvas enlazadas de alta velocidad.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP1

A pocos metros del inicio del tramo, encontramos diversas curvas de radio medio y de velocidad no muy elevada, todas ellas encadenadas en pendiente con la población de Bot al fondo. Ubicación segura ; acceso a pie desde la TV-3531, la carretera que une Bot con Gandesa. Aparcamiento no delimitado; se aconseja dejar el vehículo en Bot.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP2

Está situada en la parte final del tramo, el camino viene en pendiente ascendente y se cambia de tierra a asfalto. La especial acaba tras enlazar dos curvas sobre asfalto que se ensucian mucho con el paso de los coches. Ubicación segura en la ladera de la montaña con muy buena visibilidad. La llegada está situada a unos 400 metros de Gandesa –donde hay que buscar aparcamiento–, pero el cierre del camino se hace justo en el casco urbano de acceso. Gandesa tiene carreteras por las que se accede desde cualquier ubicación al estar situado en la conjunción de la C-43 (de Benifallet), N-420 (de Corbera d’Ebre en un sentido o de Calaceite en otro) o TV-7231 (de Vilalba dels Arcs).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

SPECTATOR AREA ZP1

A few metres from the start of the special, there are several bends with a medium-sized radius and not too high speed, all of them linked, running downwards, with the village of Bot in the back. Safe location, walking access from TV-3531, the road going from Bot to Gandesa. There is no delimited car park, the best option is to leave the car parked in Bot.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP2

It is located in the final section of the stage. The track goes down and up again, and changes from gravel to tarmac. The special finishes after two bends on asphalt which become more and more dirty with the passage of the cars. Safe location on the hillside with very good visibility. The finish is located some 400 metres from Gandesa, where you have to look for a parking space, although the closing of the road will be at the town centre. There are several roads leading to Gandesa as the town is located in the junction of C-43 (from Benifallet), N-420 (from Corbera d’Ebre in one direction or from Calaceite in the other) or TV7231 (from Vilalba dels Arcs).

SS 3/SS 6 – Terra Alta

visibilidad. Se encuentra bastante cerca de Vilalba dels Arcs y su gran atractivo es la facilidad de aparcamiento cerca del tramo. Para acceder, tras dejar Vilalba dels Arcs, tomar la TV-7231 dirección La Pobla de Massaluca y en el hito 12,5 tomar el cruce a la derecha dirección “Els Barrancs”. Amplia zona de aparcamiento muy cerca del camino por donde transcurre la especial.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP3

El acceso nos lleva a un área del tramo muy rápida, en bajada con dos curvas a derechas bastante espectaculares. Zona segura en la parte superior de los montículos y de los márgenes de los cultivos cercanos. Hay que ir a esta zona desde La Fatarella, de ahí tomar la pista denominada “Camí dels Valencians” y, a unos 10 kilómetros, se llega al cruce del tramo. Sólo se puede aparcar en la propia pista de acceso pero con mucho cuidado de no bloquear el paso.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP4

La pista, tras una zona bastante rápida, ha cambiado de tierra a asfalto unos metros antes y en este cruce lo que se produce, además de una fuerte frenada, es un giro cerrado a la derecha con cambio en el tipo de asfalto. Se accede desde Gandesa por la TV-7231 y, tras pasar por Vilalba dels Arcs y La Pobla de Massaluca, continuar por la TV-7411 dirección Riba-roja d’Ebre. A unos 8 km se encuentra el corte de carretera, pk 15,4, a unos 800 metros del cruce el tramo. Sólo se puede aparcar en la propia carretera de acceso TV-7411, dejando siempre libre un carril.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Como en 2016, la especial empezará antes de Vilalba dels Arcs. De esta manera el tramo circulará por el cruce de la propia población donde hace dos años se daba la salida. Lo que sigue invariable es el reto para todos los pilotos en tenerse que adaptar a los cinco cambios de terreno que les esperan a lo largo del recorrido de este tramo. Es la especial mixta más reconocida de todo el Campeonato del Mundo gracias a su zona central de asfalto, muy técnica y revirada, con una subida que deja unas vistas espectaculares del río Ebro, y una bajada que lleva a los coches a la parte final del tramo, otra vez en tierra, hacia La Fatarella.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP1

La configuración del tramo da una interesante dimensión a esta ZP. Se tiene una vista y ubicación inmejorable para presenciar la llegada de los coches al cruce (sobre cemento) a los pies de Vilalba dels Arcs. Además de poder presenciar la panorámica del camino por donde vendrán los coches a cientos de metros de distancia, tras el cruce los coches seguirán la especial como en las anteriores ediciones, dejando la población atrás, en un rápido zigzag en leve rasante. El acceso recomendado es por la TV-7231 desde Gandesa. Área de aparcamiento muy próxima al tramo, en Vilalba dels Arcs.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP2

Zona muy rápida y con buena

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Like in 2016, the special stage will begin before Vilalba del Arcs, going along the intersection located in the town, where the start was two years ago. The remaining route is the same and actually the true challenge for all drivers, as they will have to adapt to the five ground changes that are expecting them along the stage. It is the most recognised mixed special of the whole World Championship givxen its central tarmac section, which is very technical and twisty, with an ascent providing for spectacular views over the river Ebro, and a descent that takes the cars to the final section of the stage, back on gravel, leading to La Fatarella.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP1

The configuration of the stage provides a new dimension of this spectator area. We will have unmatched views and locations to witness the arrival of the cars at the intersection (on tarmac) right next to Vilalba dels Arcs. In addition we will enjoy panorama views of the path and the cars coming from hundreds of meters away. After the intersection, the cars will continue the special just like in previous editions, leaving the town behind on a quick zigzag with a light gradient. The recommended access is following the TV-7231 from Gandesa. Parking area very close to the stage, in Vilalba dels Arcs.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP2

Very fast section with good visibility. It is located quite close to Vilalba del Arcs and its biggest attractiveness is that you can park very close to the stage. After leaving Vilalba dels Arcs behind, follow TV-7231 to La Pobla de Massaluca. At kilometre 12.5 turn to the right, to “Els Barrancs”. Large parking area, very close to the track that is used by the special.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP3

The access takes us to a very fast section of the stage, going downwards with two quite spectacular right-handers. Safe area in the upper part of the hills and on the sides of the nearby crop areas. You have to access this area from La Fatarella. From there, follow the track called “Camí dels Valencians”. The intersection of the stage is some 10 kilometres from there. You may only park on the access track but be careful not to block the passage.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP4

After a quite fast section, the track changes from gravel to asphalt a few metres before, and the cars have to brake hard in this intersection to turn to the right and face a change of the type of asphalt. Access from Gandesa following the TV-7231 and, after Vilalba dels Arcs and La Pobla de Massaluca, continue on the TV-7411 heading for Riba-roja d’Ebre. The road is closed some 8 km later, at kp 15.4, aprox. 800 metres from the intersection of the stage. You may only park on the access road (TV-7411), always leaving one lane free to allow for circulation.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP5

There are two possibilities. This is one of the most emblematic spectator areas of the stage and the RallyRACC. The route runs first in front of the Sant Francisco chapel with a light downward right-hander, and 500 metres later there is an intersection and a very narrow section crossing a field of olive trees. Safe area in the upper sections of the nearby crop areas and on the hillsides of the forest surrounding the area. Access from La Fatarella, following a path called “Camí dels Valencians”. 5 kilometres later turn to the right heading for the Sant Francisco chapel. You reach the area, surrounded by olive trees, some 11.3 km later. Difficult parking facilities.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP6

It is a spectacular area, as it is an intersection with a change of surface and going downwards. A very narrow angle to the right, on tarmac, followed by a gravel road heading for La Fatarella. The stage finish is 200 metres from that point. The best way to get there is taking the T-733, the road between La Fatarella and Ascó. 2.5 km from La Fatarella and 10 km from Ascó there is the intersection that leads to the stage, heading for Riba-roja d’Ebre. You may only park your car on the access road, trying not to block the accesses.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP5 (DOS POSICIONES)

Hay dos posibilidades, es una de las zonas de público más emblemáticas del tramo y del RallyRACC. El tramo pasa primero por delante de la ermita de Sant Francisco en un curva de derechas en ligera bajada para 500 metros después afrontar un cruce y zona muy estrechas entre un campo de olivos. Zona segura en lo alto de los márgenes de los cultivos cercanos y en la ladera del bosque que rodea la zona. Se accede desde La Fatarella por el “Camí dels Valencians”; tras 5 kilómetros tomar un cruce a la derecha dirección ermita de San Francisco. A unos 11,3 km se llega a la zona, entre campos de olivos. Es una zona de difícil aparcamiento.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP6

Se trata de una zona espectacular por tratarse de un cruce con cambio de terreno y en bajada. El ángulo es muy cerrado hacia la derecha, todo sobre asfalto, para tomar de nuevo un camino de tierra dirección La Fatarella. A 200 metros de ese punto se encuentra el final de la especial. El mejor acceso es por la carretera entre La Fatarella y Ascó, por la T-733. A 2,5 km se encuentra el cruce que lleva hasta el tramo, dirección Riba-roja d’Ebre. Sólo se puede aparcar en la propia carretera, como es lógico intentando no bloquear los accesos.

SS 7/SS 10 – El Montmell

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

El Montmell es una especial con un buen asfalto, pero muy estrecho, combina zonas rápidas con otras que no lo son tanto y se caracteriza por la combinación de curvas enlazadas y zonas reviradas con otras partes de alta velocidad.

El tramo se podría dividir en tres partes bien diferenciadas. Arranca desde Vila-rodona, la primera parte es muy rápida y de hecho se colocará una chicane antes de entrar en el núcleo de Can Ferrer de la Cogullada, para reducir la velocidad de los participantes. Tras el paso por la población el recorrido se vuelve algo más sinuoso y revirado continuando por la carretera TV-2443 hasta llegar a la zona de Aiguaviva. Esa zona acaba, a altas velocidades, desembocando en el cruce del Pla de Manlleu. La tercer y última parte del tramo transcurre por la TP-2442, culminando con un descenso vertiginoso y revirado hasta la llegada, lo que se conoce como Les Ventoses, cerca de Sant Jaume dels Domenys.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

Se trata de una zona bastante rápida justo al inicio de la especial. Se tiene una gran visibilidad de los primeros compases de ésta, con curvas largas y enlazadas. Se debe acceder desde la misma población de Vila-rodona a unos 2 km de la especial, donde se corta el acceso al público en el mismo casco urbano. Zona segura en lo alto de los márgenes de los cultivos que hacen de grada natural, lo que ofrece una gran visibilidad. Acceso por la salida 11 de la AP-2, llegar hasta Vila-rodona (a 2 km), dónde se puede aparcar.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-2

Es una de las zonas de público más amplias de todo el rally. Existen dos puntos interesantes que se llegan desde el mismo acceso. El primer punto es la zona más virada de la primera zona del tramo. Hay mucho sitio disponible al haber una gradería natural en el exterior: Zona segura.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

El Montmell is a special with good tarmac but very narrow, combining fast and slow sections, with the highlight of having a combination of linked bends and twisty sections with high-speed sections.

The stage could be divided into three well-differentiated sections. The stage starts in Vila-rodona with a very fast first section. In fact, there will be a chicane before entering the village of Can Ferrer de la Cogullada to reduce the speed of the incoming race cars. After the village, the route becomes twistier continuing on the TV-2443 until reaching the area of Aiguaviva. This section ends, at high speed, in the intersection of Pla de Manlleu. The third and last part of the stage continues on TP-2442, finishing with a dizzy, twisty descent until the finish, which is known as Les Ventoses, near Sant Jaume dels Domenys.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-1

It is a quite fast section right after the start of the special. There is a great view of the first section, with long linked bends. The access is from the village of Vila-rodona, approx. 2 km away from the special, where the access for the public is cut in the village itself. Safe area on the raised edges of the crop fields that build a natural grandstand providing for excellent visibility. The access is from exit 11 of the AP-2 highway continuing to Vila-rodona where you can park.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-2

It is one of the largest spectator areas of the rally. There are two interesting points to be reached from the same access. The first point is the most twisted area of the first section of the stage. There is a lot of space available, as there is a natural grandstand. Safe area.

The second point is quite near, first there is the chicane at the intersection of the road to Rodonyà (between TV-2444 and TV-2443), to reduce the speed of the cars entering a new point of interest, the city centre of Can Ferrer . Limited space for spectators. Safe area in raised parts and areas in which the cars do not pass at high speed.

It is the same access for both interesting points. Coming from the AP-2 highway take exit 11 and continue on C-51 to Rodonyà. At kp 19.7, take TV-2444 heading for Can Ferrer de la Cogullada that will take you directly to the stage. Very limited parking on the access road TV-2444, always trying not to block the access.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-3

Spectator Area 3 does also have different interesting locations. The most popular and impressive is the breaking section in the intersection of TV-2443 and TP-2442. But before the intersection there is a very fast section with some “cuts” at very high speed.

Access 1: This first access takes you to the fastest section of the area. It is an asphalted road coming from La Juncosa del Montmell. To get to the village follow TV-2401 from either C-51 after Rodonyà or from La Bisbal del Penedès (exit 12 of AP-7).

Access 2: With this second access you get to the intersection. To get there, follow T-244 from Pla de Manlleu. This road can only be reached from Torrelles de Foix (BV-2122) and Pontons (TV-2441) from the east side or from Santes Creus (Aiguamurcia, TV-2441) from the west. Very limited parking space on the access roads. Always park leaving one free lane.

Remember: Do always leave a free lane, as all accesses are escape ways in case of an emergency! El segundo punto está bastante cerca, primero encontramos la chicane situada en el cruce de la carretera de Rodonyà (entre la TV-2444 y la TV-2443) para aminorar la velocidad a la entrada de un nuevo punto de interés, el núcleo urbano de Can Ferrer. Lugar limitado para los espectadores. Zona Segura sólo en las partes elevadas y en lugares donde los coches no entren a gran velocidad.

Para acceder a los dos puntos de interés se debe coger el mismo acceso. Si se viene por la autopista (AP-2) coger la salida 11, seguir por la C-51 dirección a Rodonyà. En el pk 19,7 hay que tomar la carretera TV2444 dirección Can Ferrer de la Cogullada que conduce directamente al tramo. Aparcamiento muy limitado en la misma carretera TV-2444 de acceso, procurando siempre no colapsar el acceso.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-3

La zona de público 3 también tiene distintas localizaciones interesantes. La más conocida e impresionante es la frenada en el cruce entre la TV-2443 y la TP-2442. Pero antes del cruce encontramos una zona muy rápida con algunas “cortadas” a muy alta velocidad.

Acceso 1: Este primer acceso lleva a la zona más rápida. Se trata de una pista asfaltada proveniente de La Juncosa del Montmell, población a la que se llega por la TV-2401, que a su vez se puede coger desde la C-51 pasado Rodonyà o desde La Bisbal del Penedès (salida 12 de la AP-7).

Acceso 2: Con este segundo acceso se llega al cruce. Para llegar a este punto se debe coger la carretera T-244 por Pla de Manlleu. Esta carretera sólo se puede tomar desde Torrelles de Foix (BV-2122) y Pontons (TV-2441) por el lado este o por Santes Creus (Aiguamurcia, TV-2441) por el oeste. Aparcamiento muy limitado en las propias carreteras de acceso. Aparcar siempre dejando un carril libre.

Recordad: ¡siempre hay que dejar un carril libre, todos los accesos son vías de escapatoria en caso de emergencia!

SS 8/SS 11 – El Pont d’Armentera

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Cambio radical para esta especial que el año pasado se llamaba Querol (sentido inverso) ahora el tramo es en gran parte en subida y toma el nombre de la población en la que arranca: El Pont d’Armentera. Empieza sobre un asfalto muy bueno y con curvas de radio medio. La velocidad es la nota dominante en esta primera zona hasta llegar a la población de Querol, en ese punto la carretera sigue con el mismo firme pero con algunas frenadas más fuertes.

El tramo cambia por completo cuando se llega al cruce de Esblada, esta vez una izquierda cerrada. La carretera pasa a ser a partir de ahí muy estrecha y revirada, las curvas se encadenan una tras otra hasta llegar a final de tramo en Pontils.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

El principal atractivo de esta zona es el paso por la población de Querol, donde se puede presenciar el paso de los coches con seguridad. Este año, justo al salir del pueblo, hay una zona con una fuerte frenada y algunas enlazadas con buena ubicación del público a lo alto de los márgenes elevados que hay al lado de la carretera. Es complicado acceder al tratarse de un camino asfaltado bastante roto. El camino sale de la TV-2441, en el pk 11. La carretera TV-2441 se toma desde Santes Creus dirección Les Pobles/Pontons.

En el cruce donde aparece el camino asfaltado, seguir las indicaciones hacia Querol/Sant Jaume de Montagut. Seguir dirección Sant Jaume de Montagut hasta los 3,4 km, luego no dejar la pista asfaltada hasta Querol (3,8 km). Aparcamiento muy limitado en la pista de acceso que llega a Querol.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-2

Se trata de un cruce a la izquierda, en subida y con cambio de carretera, pasando por delante de la famosa iglesia de Esblada. Se accede sólo por la C-37

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Radical change to this special stage that was called Querol last year (opposite direction). Now the stage goes upwards most of the time and takes the name of the village from where it starts: El Pont d’Armentera. The special starts on very good tarmac, with medium-radius bends. Speed is the dominating feature in this first section until reaching the village of Querol. From then on, the race continues on good tarmac but with some stronger braking sections.

The stage changes completely after the intersection in Esblada, which is a tight left-hander this time. From then on, the road becomes very narrow and twisty, and the bends are linked with each other until reaching the stage finish in Pontils.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-1

The main attraction of this area is the passage through the village of Querol, a safe place to watch the cars passing through the village. This year, just after the village, there is a section with a strong braking point and some linked bends with a good location for spectators above the raised road sides. The access is a bit complicated considering that it is a track with quite broken asphalt. The track starts from TV-2441, at kp 11. Take the road TV-2441 from Santes Creus and continue to Les Pobles/Pontons.

At the intersection with the asphalted track follow the indications to Querol/ Sant Jaume de Montagut. Continue to Sant Jaume de Montagut until km 3.4 and then on the asphalted road until Querol (3.8 km). Very limited parking, on the access road to Querol.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-2

It is an intersection where the cars will

turn to the left, and continue upwards, including a change of road, passing right in front of the famous church of Esblada. You can only reach this point following C-37 coming from Igualada, Santa María de Miralles and La Llacuna. It is an area with very limited parking space.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-3

Last section of the stage, with a narrow road coming from Esblada to take the bend that will lead participants to the stage finish (200 metres) in Pontils. The previous section is very fast and the spectators must locate themselves on the hillsides surrounding the road. The high speeds and the fact that it is a narrow place, turn it into an area with difficult access and location.

Access 1: Following TV-2011 from Santa Maria de Miralles and La Llacuna. Access 2: From the AP-2 highway, take exit 9 Montblanc and continue to Sarral (TP-2311) and Rocafort de Queralt (C-421). 5 km after this village, turn to the right to follow TV-2015 to Vallespinosa. Before reaching the village there is a track on the left hand side leading to Pontils.

Limited parking in the area of Pontils. You may also park on the access roads, always respecting the traffic regulations and avoiding blocking the roads.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-3

Última parte del tramo donde se viene de la estrecha carretera proveniente de Esblada para tomar la curva hacia final de tramo (200 metros) hasta Pontils. La zona anterior es muy rápida y la colocación del publico debe ser en lo alto de las laderas que rodean la carretera. Las altas velocidades que se cogen y lo estrecho del lugar lo hacen de difícil acceso y ubicación.

Acceso 1: Por la TV-2011 desde Santa María de Miralles y La Llacuna. Acceso 2: Desde la AP-2, salir por la salida 9 de Montblanc y tomar dirección a Sarral (TP-2311) y Rocafort de Queralt (C-421). Tras esta población, a 5 km desviarse a la derecha por la TV-2015 hacia Vallespinosa, donde antes del núcleo sale una pista a la izquierda dirección a Pontils.

Aparcamiento limitado en las inmediaciones de Pontils. También en las propias carreteras de acceso, siempre respetando las normas de circulación y sin colapsar las carreteras.

SS 9/SS 12 – Savallà

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Se puede catalogar como un tramo de tramos, ya que cuenta con múltiples zonas muy diferenciadas entre ellas, lo que hace que el recorrido sea muy selectivo. El tramo empieza en bajada, con un asfalto desgastado pero ancho, doble carril con frenadas fuertes hasta el primer cruce, hacia la izquierda y bastante ancho. La carretera se ensancha unos metros pero rápidamente se estrecha y de un solo carril. Se sube por una zona de enlazadas y curvas de radio medio hasta Savallà del Comtat.

A continuación se pasa por la población a mucha velocidad hasta llegar a una horquilla en bajada, donde se frena muy fuerte, para seguir, a poco más de 50 metros a un cruce a la derecha para coger un camino asfaltado hacia Segura. Se trata de una de las zonas más bonitas del tramo y del propio rally. En el camino hacia Segura estará prohibida la presencia de espectadores debido a lo estrecho y rápido. El cruce de Segura es otro de los puntos de interés del tramo, tras una bajada muy rápida se coge otro tipo de carretera, ancha, pero con un asfalto muy abrasivo. La bajada hacia Conesa tiene curvas muy rápidas en las que se puede cortar por las cunetas.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

Se trata del primer cruce de la especial. Tras un inicio con fuertes frenadas y rápidas enlazadas, la carretera desemboca en un cruce ancho. La colocación del público debe de ser clave ya que se llega a mucha velocidad y en bajada. Una vez pasado el cruce, y en la parte interior de la cuneta, también se puede colocar un buen número de espectadores, pero con una visión algo más limitada. Se llega por la T-224 desde la localidad de Llorac, que a su vez se llega por dos sitios: Tàrrega o Cervera. No hay aparcamiento habilitado.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-2

Esta zona es de las más completas del tramo, por visibilidad, espectacularidad y ubicación del público. Se llega de una zona muy rápida, pasando por el casco urbano del pueblo de Savallà del Comtat, para acabar en una horquilla en bajada de izquierdas. Tras la fuerte frenada viene un cruce hacia la derecha para cambiar de asfalto. Sólo se podrá acceder antes del corte de carretera que se realiza a las 00:00h (dependiendo de la afluencia de público se podría cerrar antes) por la carretera TV-2244 que proviene de Conesa.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This stage could be described as a stage of stages, since it includes several, very different sections, which turn it into a highly selective route. The stage starts going downwards, on worn tarmac but a wide road, two lanes with strong braking until the first left-hand quite wide intersection. The road is still wide for some metres but then turns into a single-lane, narrow road. It then goes up in a section of linked and medium-radius bends until Savallà del Comtat.

The route continues through a village, at high speed, to reach a downward hairpin, where the cars will have to brake strongly in order to continue, some 50 metres later, to a right-hand intersection and an asphalted road to Segura. It is one of the most beautiful areas of the stage and the whole rally. Spectator presence will not be allowed on the road to Segura, as it is very narrow and fast. The intersection in Segura is one of the most interesting points of the stage. After a very fast downward section, the cars continue on another type of road, wide, but with very abrasive tarmac. The downward section to Conesa has very fast bends which allow cutting them using the kerbs.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP1

The first intersection of the special stage. After the start with strong braking points and fast linked bends, the road ends on a wide intersection. Spectators have to be careful with their location, as the cars will arrive at high speed and going downward. After the intersection, and on the inside of the kerb, there is also a large space for spectators, but with rather limited visibility. Follow the T-224 road from Lloraç, which you can reach from two

places: Tarrega or Cervera. There is no specific car park. You must leave your car on the roadside.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-2

This is one of the most complete sections of the stage, due to its visibility, spectacularity and location of the public. The cars arrive from a very fast section, passing by the village of Savallà del Comtat, to reach a downward lefthand hairpin. After the strong braking, there is a right-hand intersection to change the type of asphalt. You may only access before the road is closed at 00:00h (depending on the amount of public the road may be closed earlier) following the TV-2244 coming from Conesa.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-3

I It is one of the strongest braking points of the stage. The intersection in the village of Segura, which is reached following the rural road that connects Savallà and Segura (forbidden section for the public), with a strong downward section at the end. The location for the public will be very good, as there are several raised fields next to the road.

Follow the T-243 from Tarrega or Cervera. From Tarrega follow the C-14 to Montblanc/Solivella and continue on the L-241 to Guimerà, Vallfogona de Riucorb. From Cervera take the L-214 and cross the village of La Guàrida Lada, Cabestany (L-243). Then turn right to Vallfogona de Riucorb/Conesa. 200 metres later turn left to Conesa. There is no specific car park.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-4

This is the last intersection before the end of the stage and also the last change of tarmac. The cars get there after a fast downward section until the village of Conesa. It is an upward going intersection, but very tight. Spectators will have very good visibility, with the village in the background and a lot of space to stay and follow the passage of the cars in a safe way. You may reach Conesa from Rocafort de Queralt on the T-230 or following the TV-2301 from the village of Les Piles (east of Conesa). Before reaching Rocafort de Queralt follow the C241d from the village of Sarral. There is no specific car park.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-3

Se trata de una de las frenadas más fuertes del tramo. El cruce de la población de Segura se llega del camino rural que une Savallà y la propia población de Segura (estará prohibido para el público) y que en su parte final desciende muy fuerte. La ubicación para el público es muy buena gracias a los campos elevados adyacentes a la carretera.

Se llega por la T-243 desde Tàrrega o Cervera. Por Tàrrega hay que seguir la C-14, dirección Montblanc/Solivella, para tomar la L-241 dirección Guimerà, Vallfogona de Riucorb. Desde Cervera tomar la carretera L-214 que pasará por la población de La Guàrida Lada, Cabestany (L-243) y tomar el cruce a la derecha dirección Vallfogona de Riucorb/Conesa, a 200 metros coger el cruce a la izquierda dirección Conesa. No hay aparcamiento habilitado.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-4

Es el último cruce antes de final de tramo y también el último cambio de asfalto. Se llega de una bajada muy rápida hasta la población de Conesa. El cruce es en subida, pero muy cerrado. Los espectadores tendrán mucha visibilidad con el pueblo como telón de fondo y mucho lugar para colocarse y seguir el paso de los coches de manera segura. Hasta Conesa se puede llegar desde Rocafort de Queralt por la T-230 o por la TV-2301 desde la población de Les Piles (situada al este de Conesa). Antes de llegar a Rocafort de Queralt se tiene que llegar por la C-241d desde la población de Sarral. No hay aparcamiento habilitado.

SS 13 - Salou

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Un año más –seis ya– la villa de Salou podrá disfrutar del RallyRACC evolucionando por sus calles. Será el último tramo cronometrado de la jornada del sábado, una súper especial urbana en pleno corazón de Salou con un diseño realmente selectivo, de asfalto aunque bastante deslizante, que aprovecha al máximo las posibilidades del paseo Jaume I y los aledaños donde están situados el podio y el parque cerrado. La salida se dará de nuevo en el Port Esportiu y la llegada se ubica en la zona de la calle Verge del Pilar, circulando por el Passeig de Jaume I, paralelamente a la Platja de Llevant, Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, Plaça de Francesc Germà y Avinguda del Principat.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO

Prácticamente todo el tramo es una zona de público, convenientemente delimitada a tenor de las medidas de seguridad. El público podrá colocarse a lo largo de la Platja de Llevant, una fabulosa fachada marítima que permitirá una visibilidad excelente con la posibilidad de ir cambiando fácilmente de ubicación.

Se accede a pie desde el Port Esportiu (lugar de la salida) o desde la Plaça de Francesc Germà, en los aledaños de la llegada. También la Avinguda del Principat d’Andorra es un buen lugar para ver evolucionar a los coches. Zona para dejar el vehículo muy limitada en las proximidades del tramo, por lo que se aconseja llegar con tiempo y utilizar alguno de los aparcamientos con que cuenta el casco urbano de Salou.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

For another year –already six– the village of Salou will be able to enjoy the RallyRACC on its streets. It will be the last special stage on Saturday, a great urban special in the heart of Salou, with a truly selective design, on tarmac; and despite being a little slippery, it makes the best use of the possibilities offered by the Paseo Sant Jaume I promenade and its surroundings, in which the podium and the parc fermé are located. The start will be given again at Port Esportiu (leisure harbour) and the finish will be located in the area of Verge del Pilar street, after covering the route on Passeig Jaume I, in parallel to the Llevant beach, Comunitats Autonomes square, Frances Germà Square and Principat Avenue.

SPECTATOR AREA

The whole stage is actually a spectator area, conveniently delimited, including all the respective safety measures. The public will be allowed to stand along the Llevant beach, a fabulous marine background that will allow for perfect visibility, providing the chance to change location easily during the race.

Access by foot from Port Esportiu (start) or from Francesc Germà square nearby the finish. Principat d’Andorra avenue is also a good place from which to watch the cars. Very limited parking area near the stage. Therefore we recommend arriving early enough and using some of the car parks of Salou.

SS 14/SS 17 – L’Albiol

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Nueva versión para una carretera cargada de historia como es la de La Mussara, dado que a lo largo de las múltiples ediciones del RallyRACC se ha corrido por esta carretera en diferentes configuraciones. La edición de este año será otra vez una de las más cortas pero en sentido inverso a la del año pasado.

La especial arrancará pocos metros después del cruce de L’Albiol y será todo en bajada. A menos de un kilómetro del inicio empieza la sucesión de paellas, un serpenteo que acaba en una zona muy rápida que lleva a final de tramo. Eso sí, antes de llegar al final de la especial se encuentra el punto más caliente, una paella en bajada que se cierra.

La ubicación del público en esta zona es buena, siempre haciendo caso a los comisarios de seguridad, ya que los coches llegan a mucha velocidad y es un punto delicado.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

La única Zona de Público de la especial es bastante amplia y el principal punto de interés se encuentra a pocos metros de la llegada. Tras una bajada vertiginosa, el tramo llega a una paella a izquierdas en bajada. Zona segura siempre en las zonas elevadas que bordean la carretera.

Para acceder a dicha zona únicamente estará habilitado un sendero de 1,5 km que se podrá recorrer a pie saliendo desde Vilaplana y pasando por el depósito de agua. Dos accesos, el primero por la carretera TP-7013 que viene desde la Selva del Camp; el segundo desde la T-11 coger la última salida dirección Maspujols por la carretera T-704. Pasar por las poblaciones de Maspujols y L’Aleixar hasta llegar a Vilaplana. Aparcamiento limitado en las cercanías de la población de Vilaplana.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

New version for a road filled with history like La Mussara, which has been included in several editions of the RallyRACC with different configurations. This year, it will be again one of the shortest stages, but run in opposite direction to last year.

The special will start a few metres after the intersection in L’Albiol to continue downwards. Less than one kilometre from the start, there is the series of hairpins, a wriggling section that ends with a very fast section leading to the stage finish. Before the end of the stage, however, there is the hottest spot, a downward loop.

The location of the public in this area is good, always following the instructions of the safety marshals, since the cars will be arriving at high speed and it is a delicate spot.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-1

The only Spectator Area of the special is quite large and the main point of interest is located only a few metres from the finish. After a vertiginous slope, the stage reaches a downward loop. Safe area, always on the raised areas at the edge of the road.

There is a 1.5-km long path to reach the spectator area by foot. The path starts in the village of Vilaplana, past the water reservoir, until the stage. There are two accesses: the first, following the road TP-7013 coming from la Selva del Camp and the second access, from T-11 take the last exit to Maspujols and continue on T-704. Drive past the villages of Maspujols and L’Aleixar until Vilaplana. Limited car parking facilities near the village of Vilaplana.

SS 15/SS 18 – Riudecanyes

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Uno de los tramos más concurridos de la prueba. Como otros tramos este año se invierte de sentido, eso significa que cambia por completo y además se le añade la zona del principio de la N-420 que ya se realizó en ediciones anteriores. La primera parte es la conocida por sus características rotondas que pasa por encima de la N-420. La montaña ejerce de gradería natural en una zona estupenda para ver pasar a los coches, en la primera rotonda los participantes deberán dar una vuelta entera (al estilo donut). La especial, tras pasar por las dos rotondas se convierte en estrecha y muy sinuosa en bajada.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

Se trata de una de las zonas más reconocibles de la prueba, la rotonda con grada natural que permite una excelente visión del paso de los participantes. Se viene muy rápido de la antigua N-420 y se deberá dar toda una vuelta a la primera rotonda. Es uno de los puntos más espectaculares. Zona muy segura en la ladera de la montaña. Se accede por la N-420 dirección Falset/Gandesa. Aparcamiento en la N-420, utilizando un carril de circulación.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-2

La primera parte es el paso por debajo del puente del tren, muy rápida hasta llegar al paso por el zig-zag del puente dirección Riudecanyes. Si se accede desde la AP-7, coger la salida 37, dirigirse por la T-312 hasta Montbrió del Camp y luego la T-310 hasta las proximidades de Mont-roig del Camp. Justo antes de tomar la variante que bordea el pueblo, hay indicadores para ir hacia Vilanova d’Escornalbou por la T-321, por cuyo núcleo urbano hay que pasar y seguir hasta L’Argentera. Pasados 2,6 km de este pueblo, hay el acceso al tramo en la población de Duesaigües, donde se aparca.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-3

Se trata de la última zona del tramo, es rápida y en bajada hasta el cruce de Riudecanyes que se deberá tomar por la primera de sus isletas, encarándose a continuación la subida hacia el final de tramo. Se accede desde Montbrió del Camp, tomando la carretera T-313 hacia Riudecanyes. También se puede llegar desde Vilanova d’Escornalbou. Zona de aparcamiento limitado en Riudecanyes.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

One of the most crowded stages of the event. Just like other stages, this year it is going to be run in opposite direction, meaning that it will change completely; and an initial section has been added, on the N-420 road, which was already covered in previous editions.

The first part is well known due to its characteristic roundabouts on the N-420 road. The mountain acts as a natural grandstand offering a great area to watch the cars negotiating the first roundabout, around which the participants will have to make a complete lap (doughnut style). The special, after passing the two roundabouts, turns into a narrow and very twisty downward section.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-1

It is one of the best known areas of the event, the roundabout with a natural grandstand that provides for excellent views of the participants passing by. They arrive very fast on the former N-420 road and have to make a complete lap around the first roundabout. It is one of the most spectacular points. Very safe location on the hillside. Access following the N-420 road to Falset/Gandesa. Leave you car on the N-420, using one of the lanes.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-2

The first part of the area is the passage under the railway bridge, very fast until the zig-zag on the bridge heading to Riudecanyes. If you access the area from exit 37 of the AP-7 highway, take T-312 to Montbrió del Camp and then follow T-310 to get close to Mont-roig del Camp. Just before taking the road bordering the village, you will find signs to go to Vilanova d’Escornalbou following T-321. Cross the village and follow the signs to the picturesque village of L’Argentera. 2.6 km later you will find the access to the stage in Duesaigües where there is the parking area.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-3

This is the last section of the stage. It is quick and goes downwards until the intersection in Riudecanyes which shall be taken at the first of its small islands, to continue upwards to the stage finish. Access from Montbrió del Camp taking the T-313 road to Riudecanyes. Another way to arrive is from Vilanova d’Escornalbou. Limited car parking area in Riudecanyes.

SS 16/SS 19 – Santa Marina

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL

Nueva Power Stage en uno de los tramos más tradicionales del RallyRACC. En esta nueva versión, la especial arranca a mitad del camino asfaltado entre Colldejou y Pratdip. Rápidamente la especial coge velocidad dirección a la primera Zona de Público ubicada en Pratdip.

El tramo cambia por completo, se vuelve mucho más rápido y se llega a la segunda zona de público que tiene este tramo en Santa Marina. Tras dejar atrás Santa Marina éste se encara hasta su última zona muy revirada con mucho ritmo y en subida hacia el Coll de Fatxes donde se acaba.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-1

Espectacular cruce de carreteras en la población de Pratdip. Se pasa de una carretera estrecha y con un asfalto muy roto a otra ancha y con el firme muy bueno. Zona segura en las partes elevadas cercanas a la carretera, pero mucha atención al tratarse de una frenada muy fuerte. Para llegar, Si se viene por la AP-7, tomar la salida 38 (Hospitalet de l’Infant). Después dirigirse por la T-310 dirección Pratdip. Aparcamiento limitado en la T-340, sin estar habilitado.

ZONA DE PÚBLICO ZP-2

Zona sólo accesible antes del cierre de carretera a las 00:00h del mismo día de la disputa del tramo (antes si las autoridades lo consideran pertinente). Es boscosa, de curvas de radio medio donde los coches pasan a altas velocidades. Difícil acceso y exclusivo por la misma carretera T-311 del tramo (Coll de Fatxes). Aparcamiento en Santa Marina (zona de recreo).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

New Power Stage on one of the most traditional stages of the RallyRACC. In this new version, the special starts halfway the asphalted track going from Colldejou to Pratdip. The special gets speed very quickly heading to the first spectator area located in Pratdip.

Then, the stage changes completely, becomes much faster and reaches the second spectator area of this special, in Santa Marina. After Santa Marina, the stage continues on a last, very twisty section, with a high pace and going upwards to Coll de Fatxes, the stage finish.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-1

Spectacular road intersection in the village of Pratdip. The road changes from narrow and a very broken tarmac to a wider road with a good surface. Safe area on the raised parts next to the road, but paying attention, as it is a very strong braking point. If you are coming on the AP-7 highway, take exit 38 (Hospitalet de l’Infant). Then continue on the T-310 to Pratdip. Limited car parking on the access road, the T-310, but there is no dedicated car park.

SPECTATOR AREA ZP-2

Area only accessible before the road is closed at 00:00h on the day of the stage (or earlier if the authorities consider it necessary). It is a wooded area with medium-radius bends, where the cars pass at high speed. Difficult access and only following the same road (T-311) of the stage, at Coll de Fatxes. Car park in Santa Marina (leisure area).
