La collection terra•tany est une collection jeunesse des Editions Teny, qui vise à inspirer les jeunes lecteurs à connaître, aimer et protéger la nature et la biodiversité à Madagascar. La collection terra•tany est publiée en multilingue, avec pour objectif de sensibiliser les enfants aux merveilles naturelles et culturelles de Madagascar.
Le nom de la collection terra•tany est composé de deux mots, « terra » qui signifie « terre » en latin (utilisé ici dans un contexte scientifique), et « Tany » qui signifie aussi « terre » en malgache. Lorsqu’ils sont combinés, ces deux mots forment le terme malgache « tera-tany », qui signifie « natif » ou « originaire de ».
La collection terra•tany est conçue pour être un outil pédagogique multidisciplinaire qui combine des éléments de la science, de l’art et de la littérature.
Nous croyons que l’apprentissage et la découverte peuvent être amusants, et nous voulons que chaque livre de la collection terra•tany inspire la curiosité, la créativité et l’amour de la nature chez les jeunes lecteurs.
The terra•tany collection is a children’s collection by Editions Teny, which aims to inspire young readers to know, love, and protect nature and biodiversity in Madagascar. The terra•tany collection is published in multiple languages, with the goal of raising children’s awareness of Madagascar’s natural and cultural wonders.
The name of the terra•tany collection is composed of two words, «terra» which means «earth» in Latin (used here in a scientific context), and «Tany» which also means «earth» in Malagasy. When combined, these two words form the Malagasy term «tera-tany,» which means «native» or «originating from.»
The terra•tany collection is designed to be a multidisciplinary educational tool that combines elements of science, art, and literature.
We believe that learning and discovery can be fun, and we want every book in the terra•tany collection to inspire curiosity, creativity, and love for nature in young readers.
