PREFACE Vuggevise has been drawn from my Christmas musical The Birth of Jesus (1978). It came in Act 2 and was sung as a lullaby by Mary with the baby Jesus in her lap. Since then it has been used as a solo song and as such was included in a KomVest lied concert and sung by Signe Asmussen in English in Copenhagen in 2010. A fine Danish text was later added.
