PREFACE My dramatic cantata Song of Songs was written in 1979 for the Harrow Philharmonic Choir, who gave the first performance in 1979. The words were selected from the new English Bible 1975 depicting a Middle Eastern wedding with solo parts for soprano (bride) and baritone (bridegroom). The wedding guests are sung by the choir. The chamber ensemble consists of piano, harp, and percussion. T.B.
