Valentine’s Day Dance Friday, February 12, 2016 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Edison's annual Valentine's Dance is a fun event for the whole family. There are games, crafts, activities and dancing for everyone to enjoy. Our 5th-grade parents will be selling delicious dinner plate options. Our families will also help sell raffle tickets for exciting prizes.

Parents, let's join together and help Edison by contributing to our classroom baskets for the lotería prizes. You should have received a message from your room rep telling you your classroom theme and ideas of what to bring/donate. Deadline: Thursday, February 11th.

We need your help the day of the event (February 12, 2016).

Baile del Día de San Valentín Viernes, 12 de febrero de 2016 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

El baile anual de San Valentín de Edison es un evento divertido para toda la familia. Hay juegos, manualidades, actividades y baile para que disfruten las familias. Nuestras familias de 5º grado estarán vendiendo deliciosa comida. Los alumnos también pueden ayudar vendiendo boletos para la rifa, la cual tendrá premios muy emocionantes.

Por favor, haga donaciones a la canasta de la lotería de su salón!

Padres, vamos a unirnos y ayudemos a Edison contribuyendo a las canastas de su salón que se usarán para los premios de la lotería. Ya debe haber recibido un mensaje de su Representante de salón diciéndole cuál es el tema de la canasta de su salón, e ideas de lo que puede donar.

Necesitamos su ayuda el día del evento (12 de febrero de 2016).

Vengan a pasar un buen rato mientras también ayudan como voluntarios. Sea parte de este evento y ayude a Edison apuntándose para ser voluntario por 1 hora o más. Por favor, véndanlos a sus familiares y amigos, y así podrán participar en la rifa de premios muy especiales (muy pronto se anunciarán los premios).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELLING 1. Sell your tickets for $1 each to friends and family members only. DO NOT GO DOOR-TODOOR! Ask your parents to help you sell more tickets at work.

2. As soon as you sell your tickets, put the completed portion of the tickets and collected money into the envelope provided, and bring the filled envelope to your teacher. Checks should be made out to Edison PTA. Make sure that your name is written on the envelope so you can participate in weekly raffles.

3. If you need more tickets to sell, your parents can get more from the office.

In order to qualify for the top selling class &weekly student raffles, all money and completed tickets must be turned in no later than Thursday, February 11th. If you have any unsold tickets, please return them to the office by 2/11.

All proceeds go to the Edison PTA which pays for: School field trips, classroom supplies for teachers and students, services for students with special needs, KidBiz, etc. If each student sells at least 20 tickets, Edison can raise approximately $11,000!! Please help us reach this goal. It’s simple, fun, and essential. TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT! The DRAWING for the raffle will take place at the Valentine’s Dance on Friday, February 12th. You do not need to be present to win.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA VENTA DE TALONARIOS 1. Vende los boletos a $1 cada uno a tus amigos o familiares. Por favor no vayas de puerta en puerta a vender a gente desconocido.

2. Cuando hayas acabado de vender, pon los recibos de los boletos, con los datos del comprador (su nombre completo con número de teléfono) y el dinero en el sobre amarillo. Entrega el sobre a tu maestro, asegúrate que el sobre tenga tu nombre para que puedas participar en los sorteos semanales. Se acepta pagos con cheques para el Edison PTA. 3. Si necesitas más boletos puedes pedirlos en la oficina. Pídele a tus padres que te ayuden a vender boletos en su trabajo.

Para poder participar en el sorteo del salón más vendedor, tienen que devolver todos los boletos y el dinero completos antes del jueves, 11 de febrero. Si te sobran boletos, tráelos a la oficina antes del 11 de febrero. Así podremos venderlos en el baile.

Todo el dinero recaudado irá directamente a Edison PTA, que financia las excursiones, materiales para los alumnos y maestros, servicios para estudiantes con necesidades especiales, y eventos comunitarios, etc. Si cada estudiante vende un talonario de 20 boletos ¡podremos recolectar aproximadamente $11,000!
