Dear Families, The Edison PTA would like to wish a wonderful holiday season to all of our families, employees, and volunteers at Edison Language Academy.

We have worked really hard in the past few months to bring our community together and raise funds to enrich the education of our children.

We hope you have enjoyed the events PTA has put together with the help of many volunteers:  The Book Fair  Kinder Picnic  Restaurant Fundraisers to California Pizza Kitchen, Menchies, The Counter, and Grey Block Pizza  Blue Dog Fundraiser  Kinder Movie Night  Fall Festival  Arts Reflections

As you can imagine, we still have many more events coming up this year, some organized by the PTA and some others in collaboration with the school:  School Smarts  Valentine’s Dance  Trip to Tijuana to “Corazon de Vida” Orphanage  Another Kinder Movie Night  Cesar Chavez Night  Jogathon  And another Book Fair

Our community is filled with fun events and opportunities for families to get to know each other and support the school. We hope you take advantage of those opportunities and participate actively.

As you may have seen, we have a brand new line of Edison Spirit Wear, including t-shirts, hoodies, and canvas bags. This is a wonderful way to support the school and to show your Edison Pride.

Also, we want to encourage you to contribute today to PTA Direct Donation. This ensures we keep up the good work, offering educational and fun stuff for the kids, and essential stuff for the teachers.

And since we are talking about donations, don’t forget that we are raffling two Disneyland tickets, and four wristbands for the Pacific Park to the Santa Monica Pier. There will be two lucky winners announced among the pool of Edison donors contributing ANY amount to The Ed Foundation before December 31st, 2014! Just make the donation and you will be included!

With great gratitude for all your support and help, we wish you a wonderful 2015 filled with great adventures.

Queridas Familias, La PTA de Edison quiere desearles unas muy felices fiestas a todas las familias, a los empleados y voluntarios de Edison. Hemos trabajado muy duro en los últimos meses para unir a nuestra comunidad y recaudar fondos para enriquecer la educación de nuestros hijos e hijas.

      

Esperamos que hayan disfrutado los eventos que la PTA ha organizado con la ayuda de muchos voluntarios: La Feria de Libro El Picnic de Kinder La recaudación de fondos en los restaurantes: California Pizza Kitchen, Menchies, The Counter y Grey Block Pizza La recaudación de fondos de Blue Dog Noche de Película de Kinder El Festival de Otoño Arts Reflections

Y como se lo pueden imaginar, todavía faltan muchos más eventos, algunos organizados sólo por la PTA y otros en colaboración con la escuela:  School Smarts  Baile de San Valentin  Viaje a Tijuana para ir al Orfanato “Corazón de Vida”  Otra noche de película de Kinder  Noche de Cesar Chavez  El Jogathon  Y otra feria del libro Nuestra comunidad está llena de eventos divertidos y oportunidades para que las familias se conozcan y ayuden a la escuela. Esperamos que aprovechen esas oportunidades y participen activamente.

Como ya habrán visto, tenemos una línea nueva de ropa de Edison, que incluye camisetas, sudaderas con capucha, y bolsas. Esta es una buena oportunidad de apoyar a la escuela y de demostrar su orgullo por Edison.

También queremos animarlos a que hagan su Donación Directa, para que podamos seguir ofreciendo los programas educativos y divertidos para los estudiantes y los útiles esenciales para los maestros.

Y ya que estamos hablando de donaciones, no olviden que estamos rifando dos boletos para Disneyland y cuatro pulseras para el Pacific Park en el muelle de Santa Monica. Todas las personas que hagan su donación a la Fundación de Educación antes del 31 de diciembre del 2014, podrán entrar a la rifa, y se seleccionarán dos ganadores.

Con mucho agradecimiento por todo su apoyo y ayuda, les deseamos un maravilloso 2015, lleno de aventuras.
