About Us
Edin Bridge is a voluntary Public Social Responsibility (PSR) forum of cross-functional professionals. The principal objectives of the forum are Social, Academic & Industrial welfare. The members of the forum are engaged in the profession of teaching, coaching, learning & development & administrative professions like human resources management, industrial relations, financial management, accounting, chartered accountancy, advocacy, legal advisory, company secretarial, management consultancy, and other administrative functions. Edin Bridge operates in tandem with Educational Institutes (ed) and Industries (in), thus the name Edin. Edin acts as a Bridge between Academics and Industries promoting industry-oriented learning to all the branches of education. Edin supports underprivileged youth in skill development in order to increase employability. Edin also works towards industrial learning. It promotes industrial welfare and harmony by conducting awareness programs on Industrialisation, Labour Laws, Industrial Safety, and Health. The core strength of Edin is its strong diversified base of education & administrative professionals. Edin also works towards global issues like plastic waste, water conservation, road safety, organ donation, and other relevant social issues. Edin is also associated with other forums and associations working for similar objectives. Edin Bridge has a total voluntary membership of around 500 professionals spread across Industries of Mysore and Bangalore.

This is an advanced course on how to crack group discussions & imparts vital skills required to perform in the interviews. Some of the aspects covered are traits required to perform in GD, understanding the topic, how to get into the discussion, tips and tricks for GD, Do’s and Don’ts in GD & Top 10 expected Interview Questions & how to answer them, Resume / CV, Self-presentation & Body language. The session consists of GD & personal interview simulation activity using students conducted by real HR professionals. The objective of this course is to make students corporate ready.

Organised industrial visits for several Educational Institutes of Mysore & Bangalore. Edin Bridge as a part social responsibility extends necessary support to Institutes in organising Industrial visits. The industrial visit has its own importance in the career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is a vital part of the college curriculum and objectives of the industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding the internal working of companies. Edin Bridge has established a good network with almost all the Industries of Mysore which enables to support Institutes in industrial visits.

Law Awareness Program in association with IFHA & MindMass
Organised law awareness session on “Challenges in Managing Contract Labours� for the Mysuru, Nanajangudu & Bangalore Industries in association with IFHA & MindMass. Around 100+ HR & IR professionals took part in the learning session. Mr. Robert Grobbauer, Managing Director & COO, AT&S India Pvt. Ltd. inaugurated the learning session & Resource Person Mr. Vasanthkumar N. Hittanagi, Rtd. Joint Labour Commissioner, Government of Karnataka, conducted the entire session and facilitated the participants in understanding the challenges in managing Contract Labours like the engagement of contract labours on core jobs, welfare measures, regularization, and the abolition of contract labours.

Corporate Sports Activity for HRs in association with IFHA, L&T, NH & WE
Organised exclusive corporate sports for HR professionals of Mysore & Nanjangud Industries in association with IFHA, L&T, WĂźrth Elektronik & NH Hospital. The initiative is first of its kind & around 100+ HRs took part in the event. Shuttle badminton & Cricket (Tennis ball) were the sports played. The Sports Fest - Shuttle Badminton was inaugurated by Mr.Rabi N Rout, Center Head, L&T Technology, Mysuru & Mr. Gopalkrishna Sastry, GM- HR & Admin, Wurth Elektronik, Mysuru. The Sports Fest - Cricket (Tennis Ball) was inaugurated by Mr. Ashokkumar S P, Unit Head, Radico Khaitan, Mysuru & Mr. Anupam Sharma, Plant Manager, Reckitt Benckiser, Mysuru. The Event was co-sponsored by Wurth Elektronik, Mysuru & Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Mysuru.

Rangavalli Rangasambhrama - A Three-day Theatre Festival
As a part of Art & Culture promotion co-sponsored & Supported “Rangavalli Rangasambhrama” - A Three-day theater festival organized by Rangavalli, a Mysuru – based amateur theater group. The festival was inaugurated by renowned theater personality Dr.Vijayamma. Kannada and cultural Joint Director Mallikarjunaswamy and Assistant Director H. Channappa were chief guests. Rangavalli Rangasambrama had theatre groups from Bengaluru, Haveri, and Udupi. Apart, from theatre activities, Rangavalli had also organised musical concerts including rock fusion and Karnatak Classical music to spread the essence of music among the audience. There was also a book and painting exhibition for the art connoisseurs to enjoy.

Management Skit – HR Life
A Management drama on HR life was directed in association with the Innovative forum of HR Associates (IFHA), Mysore. The drama was screened on the annual day of IFHA “The IFHA Family Fest 2018”. Mr. Raja N from Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd. played the lead role in the play. The drama depicted the complex business environment in which the HR professional work & both personal & professional challenges confronted. The message of the drama was how to balance the work & life. The script was jointly directed by Mr. Sachin H R, Reckitt Benckiser, Mr. Sagar B S, ITC Foods & Mr. Prathap H R. Around 150 audience witnessed the drama which is first of its kind in the history of Mysore Industry.

National HR Quiz 2018 in association with NIPM, Mysore
Supported National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mysore Chapter in National HR Quiz – 2018: Chapter Level 1 organised @ at St. Philomena`s College, Department of Social Work, Bannimantap. The Quiz was conducted by renowned Quiz master Mr. Shivshankar. Academic support was extended by Edin Bridge & 21 teams from different MBA & MSW colleges of Mysore took part in the Quiz. Anisha Raj & Naveen Kumar from SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore won the first place & Manukumar & Chandan K P from the University of Mysore were the runners-up. The finalists were awarded cash prizes & both Winners & Runners-up will take part in the Regional Level Quiz at Coimbatore.

Free Master Family Health check-up for HR Professionals & Faculties
NH Edin Health – we care HR fraternity: the free family master health checkup for HR Professionals of Industries & Educational Institutes of Mysore was organized in association with IFHA @ Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Devanur, Mysore on 26 Aug 2018. More than 70 HR professionals along with family took part in the Health Checkup which consisted of Physical examination, GRBS, Hepatitis B, ECG, ECHO, iBrest Exam & Physician Consultation. Master Health checkup was inaugurated by Chief Guest – Mr. J Purushotham, Advocate & Legal Consultant, President – MindMass, and Chairman, Innovative Forum of HR Associates (IFHA).

World Heart Day was celebrated in association with Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Mysore. As a part of celebration conducted healthy heart campaign @ Carlsberg India Pvt. Ltd., Immavu Industrial Area, Nanjangud Tq & Radico Khaitan Limited, Bannimantap on 29 Sep 2018. The campaign theme is creating awareness of a healthy lifestyle which leads to a healthy heart & committing for the same by taking the pledge. Edin Synergy 2018: An Industry-Academia Interface
Conducted Industry & Academia Meet “Edin Synergy” in association with SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore on 26 Oct 2018. The meet is first of its kind in the history of Mysore & around 35 HR professionals & 20 academic representatives attended the meet. The meet was jointly inaugurated by Mr. J Purushotham, Advocate & legal Consultant & President, MindMass, Mysuru & Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director & Professor – Finance, SDM IMD, Mysuru. The meet is basically a panel discussion between key industry and academia representatives, a platform for both industry and academia to share views and find unexplored avenues for working together.

Edin Bridge in association with JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru Successfully launched its first HR Student Club Chaitanya: the HR Connect in association with JSS Center for Management Studies on 20th Nov 2018. The club was inaugurated by Chief Guests Mr. J Purushotham, Advocate & legal Consultant, President, MindMass, Mysuru & Mr. Srinivas Varadarajan, Founder - CEO, Vigyanlabs Innovations, Mysuru accompanied by Guest of Honour Dr. P Nagesh, Head of Department, JSS Centre for Management Studies, Mysuru. Chaitanya is a student HR club formed with the mission of improving the corporate readiness of the students.

A Highly Interactive Workshop on “Law on Termination”
Edin conducted a highly interactive workshop on “Law on Employee Termination” @ Hotel Rio, Mysuru on 07th Dec 2018. The interactive workshop was inaugurated by chief guest Mr. N G Bharateesha Reddy, Vice President Operations & Unit Head, Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysuru, accompanied by guest of honour Mr. Vinu Peter, Head HR - APAC Studios, Softvision - A Cognizant company, Mysuru. The entire workshop was conducted Mr. Vasanthkumar N. Hittanagi, Rtd. Joint Labour Commissioner, Govt. of Karnataka.

The objective of the workshop was to create awareness about legal & illegal terminations. The workshop was highly interactive & packed with enormous information with HC & SC Judgments & case laws. The workshop also emphasised on invalid terminations prevailing in the service and hospitality sector. Around 116 participants including HRs, Academicians & Students attended the workshop which is highest all time for any labour law workshop in Mysore. HR professionals from 56 companies & Academicians from 9 educational institutes took part in the workshop. Workshop had a staggering 42 Nos of female participants taking part in the workshop which is highest ever in the History of Mysore HR fraternity.
