Aperta da settembre e visitabile fino al 2 aprile 2018 presso le Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia, la mostra Canova, Hayez, Cicognara. L’ultima gloria di Venezia, curata da Fernando Mazzocca, Paola Marini e Roberto De Feo, espone 130 opere di rilievo riunite in dieci sezioni e si concentra sul tema della tutela del patrimonio e sulla promozione dell’arte a partire da una figura emblematica, il conte Leopoldo Cicognara, intellettuale dallo spirito intraprendente e presidente dell’Accademia di Belle Arti, che con l’amico Antonio Canova e Francesco Hayez promosse e valorizzò il patrimonio della Serenissima lavorando alla creazione di un museo internazionale. ■ Open from September to April 2, 2018 at the Galleries of the Academy of Venice, the exhibition Canova, Hayez, Cicognara. Fino al 3 giugno 2018 al Mudec Museo delle Culture di Milano, la mostra Frida Kahlo. Oltre il mito propone una rilettura dell’opera dell’artista basata su un approfondito e lungo lavoro di ricerca e studio. Sono più di cento le opere in mostra, tra dipinti, disegni e fotografie tratti dall’archivio ritrovato di Casa Azul nel 2007 (dimora dell’artista a Città del Messico) e da altri importanti archivi qui presenti per la prima volta con materiali sorprendenti e rivoluzionari. La mostra è curata da Diego Sileo e promossa dal Comune di Milano-Cultura insieme al 24 Ore CulturaGruppo 24 Ore, che ne è anche il produttore. ■ The exhibition Frida Kahlo. Alla Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Palermo fino al 25 febbraio 2018 è possibile ammirare una rassegna di 140 scatti del famoso fotografo Cartier-Bresson per conoscere il suo universo, la sua ricerca nei luoghi e nelle situazioni più diverse, la sua capacità di cogliere il soggetto a sorpresa, immortalando il qui e ora, e attraverso la fotografia fissare il passaggio dall’immaginario al reale. L’immediatezza e la semplicità di espressione ottenute da Bresson, frutto di un atteggiamento che richiede concentrazione, disciplina mentale, sensibilità e senso della geometria, influenzerà intere generazioni di fotografi dopo di lui.

La mostra, promossa dall’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Palermo e organizzata da Civita in collaborazione con la Fondazione Henri Cartier-Bresson e Magnum Photos Parigi, espone una selezione curata in origine dall’amico ed editore Robert Delpire.

■ If you happen to be at the Gallery of Modern Art in Palermo until 25 February 2018, you will be able to admire a collection of 140 photographs by the famous photographer Cartier-Bresson to get to know his universe, his research into a variety of places and situations, his ability to take his models by surprise, snapping the here and now, and to frame the transition from imagination to the real world through his photographs. The simple, straightforward form of expression obtained by Bresson, the result of an attitude that requires concentration, mental discipline, sensitivity and sense of geometry, has influenced entire generations of photographers after him.

Promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Palermo and organised by Civita in collaboration with the Henri CartierBresson Foundation and Magnum Photos Paris, the exhibition shows a selection that was originally curated by the artist’s friend and publisher Robert Delpire.

genesis by sebastião salgado È una sorta di atlante antropologico del pianeta, ma al contempo un monito di Sebastião Salgado sul tema della preservazione della Terra e sull’urgenza di vivere un rapporto più armonico con l’ambiente.

La spettacolare mostra, curata da Lélia Wanick Salgado su progetto di Contrasto e Amazonas Images, e frutto della collaborazione tra Civita Mostre e l’Assessorato alla cultura e al turismo del Comune di Napoli, è un progetto iniziato nel 2003 e durato 10 anni.

Visitabile fino al 28 gennaio 2018 al PAN, Palazzo Arti Napoli, la mostra espone 245 immagini in bianco e nero, scattate nei luoghi più remoti del Pianeta. Sebastião Salgado, il più sensibile fotografo documentario del nostro tempo, ritrae con passione animali e popolazioni indigene, ricordando la necessità di cambiare il nostro stile di vita per acquisire una nuova armonia con la natura. ■ It is some sort of an anthropological atlas of the planet, but at the same time a warning on the theme of the protection of the Earth and the urgency of living a more harmonious relationship with the environment. This spectacular exhibition - curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado and organised by Contrasto and Amazonas Images - is the result of a collaboration between Civita Mostre and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples, a project that started in 2003 and lasted 10 years. Open until January 28th 2018 at the PAN (Palazzo Arti Napoli), the exhibition displays 245 black and white photographs, taken in the world’s most remote places.

Sebastião Salgado, the most empathetic documentary photographer of our time, captures animals and indigenous peoples with passion, emphasising the need to change our lifestyle and find a new harmony with nature.

LEBOLE GIOIELLI AREZZO Lebole Gioielli è situata ad Arezzo nel complesso ex industriale in cui Mario Lebole, negli anni Cinquanta, aprì una delle prime sedi della famosa industria di confezioni italiana. Ereditando la passione per l’arte dal padre collezionista, Nicoletta Lebole avvia, nei primi anni Settanta, la sua carriera nel mondo dell’antiquariato aprendo due negozi, ad Arezzo e poi a Roma.

La sensibilità artistica di Nicoletta Lebole, alimentata dai viaggi e dalla ricerca sul ruolo della donna nell’ar te, unita all’abilità tecnica di Paolo Perugini (in ar te Perù), esper to in sculture ambientali, pittura e design, ha dato vita alle creazioni Lebole Gioielli. Interamente realizzati a mano, gli orecchini, le collane, gli anelli e i bracciali Lebole nascono dall’incontro tra la storia e le tendenze più attuali. ■ Lebole Gioielli is located in Arezzo in the same former industrial complex where Mario Lebole opened one of the first offices of his famous clothing manufacturing company in the 1950s. Inheriting a passion for ar t from her collector father, Nicoletta Lebole star ted her career in the field of antiques in the early seventies, when she opened two shops, one in Arezzo and then in Rome. The Nicoletta Lebole's ar tistic sensibility, fuelled by her travels and her research into the role of women in art, and the technical skill of Paolo Perugini (aka Perù), ranging from environmental sculptures to painting and design, has led to the development of Lebole Gioielli creations. GIORDINI AREZZO Fondata ufficialmente nel 1958 da Olga Santini - in realtà da molti anni già attiva con un proprio laboratorio orafo - e dal marito, l’azienda Giordini è costantemente cresciuta nel tempo. La seconda generazione, rappresentata da Giordana e Alessandro, ha saputo far propri i valori e le esperienze dei fondatori, mentre la terza generazione si sta preparando ad affrontare le grandi sfide del prossimo futuro. I gioielli Giordini sono realizzati in oro, in tutte le carature e i colori. L

a qualità è una questione di dettagli: un gioiello Made in Italy, collana, orecchino, anello o bracciale che sia, non è pensabile se non perfetto. Ecco perché l’Italia ha maturato un expertise nel settore dei cosiddetti semilavorati che non ha pari nel mondo. Parliamo per esempio di chiusure a uncino oppure a vite, perni, elementi finali per collane, palline per fermare le infilature, catene a metraggio, particolari che fanno la differenza nell’esperienza tattile e di utilizzo del gioiello finito. Per non parlare degli astucci, che presentano e conservano i preziosi diventando parte integrante della gioia di riceverli.

Chi non ha mai provato l’emozione di aprire un cofanetto prezioso, magari di velluto o in pelle, per quanto piccolo e semplice sia il contenuto? CHIMET AREZZO Chimet è un'azienda leader nel settore del recupero e della raffinazione dei metalli preziosi. Nata nel 1976, apre il suo primo stabilimento a Badia al Pino per poi espandersi, nei primi anni '80, a Viciomaggio. Entrambe le località sono in provincia di Arezzo: ciò segnala quanto sia for te il legame tra l'attività dei preziosi e il territorio aretino. L'acronimo Chimet, infatti, sta a significare "Chimica Metallurgica Toscana". alzature come gioielli: un binomio quanto mai appropriato, almeno per alcuni brand creatori di autentiche icone, dalle Manolo (Blahnik) alle Jimmy Choo, fino alle suole rosse di Louboutin. In Italia c’è anche chi, come René Caovilla, ha costruito il proprio successo proprio attorno al genere della calzatura gioiello, come il sandalo serpente che si avvinghia alla caviglia con un filo tempestato di cristalli. D’altra parte la più alta competenza artigianale nel settore, quella del distretto del Brenta, si traduce nella produzione di calzature femminili per i marchi più prestigiosi della moda italiana e internazionale. Nello stesso distretto sorgono anche un centro di formazione del savoir faire italiano, la Scuola di Design e Tecnica della Calzatura e della Pelletteria, e il prezioso Museo della Calzatura, nato nel 1995 su iniziativa dell’imprenditore calzaturiero Luigino Rossi, ospitato dalla splendida Villa Foscarini trasformata in museo aziendale. Sono oltre 1500 i modelli di calzature femminili prodotti dall’azienda Rossi dal 1947 ai giorni nostri, frutto delle collaborazioni con gli stilisti più prestigiosi del panorama internazionale, tutti conservati dal museo oltre alla pregiata collezione di calzature veneziane del ’700 e dell’800. La ricca collezione del Museo, che vanta nomi celebri come Céline, Christian Lacroix, Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Kenzo, Vera Wang, Yves Saint Laurent, Nicholas Kirkwood e molti altri, è posta sotto la guida di Federica Rossi e offre un inedito spaccato sulla storia del costume. ■ Footwear like jewels: never has a combination been so appropriate, at least for several brands creators of cult articles from the Manolo (Blahnik) to the Jimmy Choo ones, not to mention Louboutin’s red soles. In Italy, along the banks of the Brenta River, there are also those, like René Caovilla, having built up their success precisely upon the jewel footwear genre, clearly shown in the snake sandal coiling its way around the ankles by a strand, studded with crystals. On the other hand, the highest standard of craftsmanship in this sector, found right here in the Brenta district, can be seen in the women’s footwear produced for top brands of Italian and international fashion.

The school for Italian savoir faire in footwear and leather goods design and technique, Scuola di Design e Tecnica della Calzatura e della Pelletteria, is here in the same district, together with the precious Museo della Calzatura footwear museum, created in 1995 and devised by footwear entrepreneur Luigino Rossi, housed in the splendid Villa Foscarini which has been transformed into a corporate museum. Over 1500 models of women’s footwear have been produced by the Rossi Company since 1947 up to the present day, fruit of collaboration with the most famous stylists in the international panorama; all are conserved by the museum together with a valuable collection of 18th and 19th century Venetian footwear. The museum’s valuable collection, boasting famous names such as Céline, Christian Lacroix, Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Kenzo, Vera Wang, Yves Saint Laurent, Nicholas Kirkwood and many others, curated by Federica Rossi, offers a hitherto unknown cross-section of the history of costume.

times, with the passing of time Venice becomes a centre of trade in glass and in glasswork. In 1291 the Republic of Venice orders all the foundries to move to the island of Murano to prevent the numerous wooden houses in the city from being set on fire, and since then the fame of the Murano glass blowers has spread throughout the world, thanks to their mastery in techniques for producing all kinds of glasswork and a practically endless range of objects. Today, one of the best known names on an international scale is certainly the Venini artistic glasswork company, to whom all the glassworks in this service is owed; founded in 1921, it earned fame over the years also due to its collaboration with artists such as Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Vittorio Zecchin, Gio Ponti and Mimmo Rotella and, nowadays, Tadao Ando, Gae Aulenti, Massimiliano Fuksas, Ettore Sottsass, Emmanuel Babled, Alessandro Mendini and Ron Arad. CLASSIC An elegant volume of amazing black and white photographs immortalizes the statues of the Farnese Collection in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples: making them human and alive, sensual, as contemporary as ever by

no dei massimi fiori all’occhiello del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli - per la cronaca uno dei più antichi musei d’Europa essendo stato fondato dai Borbone tra la fine del Settecento e gli inizi dell’Ottocento e principale museo archeologico d’Italia - è la celebre collezione Farnese, appartenuta proprio alla casa reale dei Borbone. L’incarico di fotografare le opere della collezione in vista della loro catalogazione è stato affidato a Luigi Spina, fotografo napoletano ben addentro ai temi del classico e del Mito, il quale però, parallelamente alle dovute foto istituzionali, mosso da una personale esigenza artistica ha eseguito una serie di scatti in bianco e nero di altissimo valore, che di ogni scultura sanno restituire con grande rispetto una bellezza non cristallizzata, ma al contrario viva, sensuale e vibrante, che coinvolge e commuove lo spettatore. L’elemento “classico”, quanto mai vivo e attuale, convive felicemente con una fisicità che rispecchia anche il “corpo a corpo” e la fatica sperimentati dal fotografo e dai custodi del Mann in oltre 3200 giorni per movimentare 180 sculture, alcune di dimensioni veramente colossali, spostandole fino allo studio fotografico allestito nel museo.

Il raffinato volume che ne è scaturito costituisce una sorta di viaggio in una classicità che ci appare insieme senza tempo e di palpitante attualità.

■ One of the maximum feathers in the cap of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples – just to inform, one of Europe’s most ancient museums, having been founded by the Bourbons between the late 700’s and the early 800’s, and principal archaeological museum in Italy – is the famous Farnese collection, which actually belonged to the Royal Bourbon family. Luigi Spina, the Neapolitan photographer, expert on classic and mythological themes, was assigned with the task of photographing the collection’s works with a view to being catalogued, but, on a parallel with the due institutional photographs and moved by a personal artistic urge, he took a series of first class shots in black and white, able to return to each sculpture, with deep respect, a beauty not crystallized but on the contrary alive, sensual and vibrant, arousing emotion and deeply effecting the spectator. The “classic” element, as alive and contemporary as ever, happily lives with a physicality that also reflects the “body to body” and the experimental effort put in by the photographer and the MANN custodians in over 3200 days to move 180 statues, some a really colossal size, to as far as the photographic studio set up in the museum. The elegant volume resulting from all this is a sort of journey in a classicism appearing to us together timeless and of vibrant contemporaneity. Anelli, pendenti, bracciali e orecchini dallo stile inconfondibile, delicati e di altissima qualità, che richiedono grandi abilità artigianali e che vengono interamente ideati e realizzati in azienda, dal disegno alla finitura.
