During the 1920s, the Old Lincoln Hotel sat at the corner of North Cate and East Charles Streets in Downtown Hammond. A horse stable occupied the downstairs floor, while upstairs functioned as the hotel. Locals would leave their carriages at the hotel before boarding the train to head to New Orleans or Chicago. While the building's purpose has changed over the decades, it has served as the home of Seale & Ross: A Professional Law Corporation for over 46 years. Just as the bones of this 1895 building stand strong, Seale & Ross has remained a steady, reliable resource for clients and the community for 52 years.

The firm was founded in 1973 by T. Jay Seale and Kenneth L. Ross. Their individual skill and specialties contribute to the firm’s long-term success. Jay, often regarded as the mentor at the firm, provides guidance and expertise to all

attorneys, regardless of their experience level. As a retired General in the Air National Guard, Ken thrives in the operations and management side of the business. With the synergy of Jay and Ken’s management styles, they have created a space for their attorneys and business to thrive. Although Jay and Ken have transitioned to part-time roles, they remain actively involved in the firm's practice, providing guidance to the next generation of leaders.

That next generation includes Lesli Bolner and Nicole Roberts Dillon, who now serve as Managing Partners, ensuring the firm’s day-to-day excellence and growth. They describe the firm as more than a workplace —it’s a family.

To nurture that environment, Seale & Ross hosts an annual family crawfish boil, a Christmas party, anniversary celebrations, and monthly luncheons.

A favorite tradition is “Wine, Wisdom, and the Practice of Law,” where attorneys gather for a social hour while educating one another about specific areas of law.
