Shostakovich’s pulsing and militaristic Tenth Symphony explores tragedy, despair, terror, violence, and ultimately individual freedom.

The testament to and celebration of humankind culminates with Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, complete with celebrated pianist Christopher Hahn, 6 vocal soloists, 90 singers, and 70 players.

The 14th annual Symphony Under The Stars features three vocalists, including Broadway stars, recording artists, and an American Idol finalist, bringing the music of the 70s and 80s to the Big Sky! The concert features the greatest hits of classic rock, pop, and disco, including music of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Eagles, Cindi Lauper, Chicago, Aerosmith, Journey, and more. The evening culminates with one of the best fireworks shows in Montana. Last season over 16,000 people attended this wonderful tradition.

Philip Aaberg – Piano Acclaimed pianist and composer, Grammy award nominated artist, and Montana native Philip Aaberg brings his unique style of classical, jazz, bluegrass, and rock for this solo concert. He has performed with music icons and legends such as rock musician Peter Gabriel, blues artist Elvin Bishop, and country singer Juice Newton. This performance will launch and celebrate his newest recording project, Versatile, and recordings will be available at the concert.
