Open your mind for a second and consider this: What if science can not only prove the existence of extraterrestrial visits to planet Earth, but reproduce advanced, anti-gravity technology that can make it possible to travel faster than light and replace all fossil fuels and nuclear power with energy from the sun?

The implications of such far-flung ideas are just too staggering to consider. Brand it as science fiction. Laugh at the crazies. Ask them if they have a one-way ticket to the loony bin. And by the way, take that little, green, blow-up alien with antennas with you.

It’s second nature for us to quickly discount what we’ve been led to believe is impossible. Aliens and E.T. are part of our culture of fiction. The 20th anniversary of the first episode of “The X-Files” is upon us on September 10, and on some screen somewhere, Fox Mulder is still trying to find proof of the existence of aliens, and Dana Scully is trying to bring her partner back to reality.

And meanwhile, grown men who’ve led military platoons and held high public office are just now settling down after five long days of testimony in front of six former members of Congress on the very topic of extraterrestrial presence on Earth.

Real story.

More than forty witnesses from nearly a dozen nations recently spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. — and all they were asking was for our government to admit that extraterrestrial presence is real.

Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the movement calling for such disclosure, nearly broke down in tears at an evening lecture when he considered the bleak future for his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who face certain global catastrophe without a clean energy solution.

The saddest thing, he said, was that private defense and technology corporations — the so-called military industrial complex — reportedly have this technology and are keeping it from us, including the president and others high in government, in this time of need.

We haven’t even discussed one of the edgiest of theories: that the advanced beings making contact with us are “us” returning from the future.

What are we to make of all of this?

We could go back to sleep and keep all things alien in the realm of science fiction.

We could look with interest at Dr. Greer’s projects — mobilizing groups of people around the world to communicate with extraterrestrials through consciousness research and technology, and organizing efforts to bypass the government to create free energy technology for the people — and wonder if the power of the people truly can withstand the force of corporations that will do anything and everything to maintain control.

The “us-versus-them” scenarios may be interesting, whether it’s humanity versus aliens or people versus the power structure, but either way, if we seek such drama, we will find it.

Our planet is just a single speck of light reflecting one of an infinite number of stars in the cosmos. We are not alone — and we never have been. In fact, we are just time travelers ourselves, wearing our space suits called bodies until we jettison away from them and return to Source.

Someone once said that we are the ones we are waiting for. What we can do is show up, be present and open our hearts to all life — regardless of which planet it calls home. Our evolution will move from global to galactic. a

Eye of Horus launches campaign to create unique line of spiritual oils In October 2003 the Eye of Horus Metaphysical Store in Minneapolis opened its doors as a place for people to shop and explore alternative spiritual paths. In 2010, the business moved to an expanded location that allowed them to increase services and classes dramatically. The Evolution of Consciousness

As I sat down to write this article on April 15, 2013, news came that my hometown of Boston suffered a lethal terrorist attack. We could say that this runs counter to the theme of this article; that is, that consciousness is evolving. The Boston attack was clearly not an evolved act. If anything, this demonstrates the complexity of the subject, because evolving consciousness is a process and is not uniform.

Consciousness at a basic level involves two things: awareness and the ability to process and use information. Awareness has several levels. Animals are aware of their environment, but they lack selfawareness in the sense of being able to think about themselves in relation to their place in the larger universe. They act rather than reflect. But even the reflective human mind is fragmented. We have subconscious and unconscious levels of the mind, as well as a polarized perceptual mechanism called the left and right brain.

Why all the compartmentalization? Very simple. If our consciousness was a single unity, we would be God, or at least we would perceive at a godlike level, and we would not at all perceive ourselves to be the individuals we think we are.

God, or Consciousness (with a capital C), broke Itself up so It could become us. Creation was not a singular act by the wave of God’s hand. It was a flinging of God’s arm spreading seeds of the One Consciousness throughout creation.

These seeds would grow in different levels of awareness depending upon how far they landed from the source of the nourishing light that had birthed them, and this physical dimension is said to be the farthest of all. But like every seed sown, a time comes to gather and to reap the harvest. This ingathering of the conscious seeds back to the source is what we call spiritual evolution.

A polarity runs throughout the universe. It is a form of energy you might be familiar with as yin and yang, or female and male.

This polarity is reflected in humans as the left and right brain hemispheres. The left brain is the domain of the male force — logic, intellect, analytic thought, science and math. As the source of intuition, feeling, holistic thought, art and abstract creativity, the right brain is more femininely oriented.

Ancient spiritual texts identify the yin, or female force, the feminine face of God, if you will, as that which led the fall or dispersal of consciousness into creation. When consciousness first fell into material form, this feminine force would have dominated the minds of our early ancestors. History does tell us that most societies prior to 3,000 BC were feminine oriented and worshiped some form of the goddess in their mysteries. The world would have seemed magical to the early humans as they intuited their way through life in pulsations with the rhythms of nature.

But now consciousness found itself embodied in physical form subject to all the laws and perils of physical existence. Wild beasts preyed on our ancestors. They needed to gather food and seek shelter. They had to organize and analyze in an effort to understand and control their environment.

The left brain, or male way of thinking, eventually came to dominate the human thought process so successfully that today we are practically destroying ourselves for the sake of dominance and power as we find ourselves living in the vestiges of modern patriarchal societies today.

But I believe we are on the verge of a shift, because I believe consciousness is an evolutionary spiral. I believe the feminine, intuitive energy is recycling into our lives to balance the dominant male-oriented thought forms that have set the tenor for modern societies. The attack in Boston exemplifies exactly what we must evolve away from. Such aggression is the age-old impulse to dominate and control through fear.

If the original information of creation is a unity, then evolution in consciousness means personally intuiting that unity. When one person harms another, it ultimately comes from ignorance of that fact. It is the current resurgence of the intuitive feminine energy that takes our minds off the material world of separation and opens them to the spiritual.

Great advances nearly always begin among smaller numbers on the periphery of a society. They work their way inward slowly, just as forging a new nation in the old West happened on the frontier, while it took time for the events to be absorbed in the settled areas back East.

This growing consciousness fueled by the feminine energy is in full swing among the group that has come to be known as the “Cultural Creatives.” These are people from all walks of life “whose values embrace a curiosity and concern for the world, and an openness to self-actualization through spirituality, psychotherapy, and holistic practices.”

I have been attending holistic conferences for five decades now. Until perhaps ten years ago, if I was in a lecture with 200 present, there would have been 199 women and me. Guys just didn’t attend

such way out, touchy feely events. Now, I consistently speak at large forums with thousands attending, and the audiences are almost equally divided. Something radical clicked within the minds of these men, because the “feminine” flavored content of these gatherings has not changed much.

The number of people identifying themselves as religious is declining, while those who identify themselves as spiritual is rising. My book, Pope Annalisa, is a spiritual thriller that I had to self-publish because it was too unusual for mainstream publishing. But in 2012, out of nowhere, actors and producers in Hollywood got ahold of it, loved the content, and I signed a movie deal. A new consciousness has made Hollywood ready for the book.

The gateway to higher consciousness is balancing our male/female energies to make intuition and intellect work in harmony. A tipping point will occur when enough people awaken by personal experience to the true nature of our reality.

We are the seeds of consciousness. One day, all those seeds will be gathered into the one basket from which we came. Then, as one great figure said, we shall be near the Kingdom of Heaven. a

Citizen Hearing on Disclosure Former members of Congress listen to testimony on extraterrestrials

Perhaps the most extensive national discussion on the existence of extraterrestrials in a dozen years took place April 29-May 3 in Washington, D.C., at the National Press Club, sponsored by the UFO advocacy group Paradigm Research Group.

Hearing the testimony were six former members of Congress: Roscoe Bartlett (MD), Merrill Cook (UT), Darlene Hooley (OR), Mike Gravel (AK), Carolyn Kilpatrick (MI) and Lynn Woolsey (CA).

The hearings covered a broad range of topics about the existence of UFOs and ETs, as well as advanced technology. More than 40 researchers and government/ agency witnesses from around the world offered testimony on events and evidence supporting the truth of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race and a government policy to embargo that truth.

The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure will be the foundation of an upcoming

documentary, Truth Embargo, which is in production by Just Cause Entertainment.

A website and trailers for the film will be posted later this year.

The following accounts represent just a small sampling of testimony during the five-day Citizen Hearing on Disclosure.

THE ROSWELL CRASH - 1947 Linda Moulton Howe, an investigative journalist and documentary producer, presented the case of Thomas Colman Sheppard, a Naval seaman apprentice who was with Amphibious Group One in Okinawa on Moulton Howe the evening of Nov. 25, 1976.

He and two other members of the clerical staff gained access to a unauthorized, top-secret vault containing classified material.

In a video recorded by Moulton Howe in 2006, retired U.S. Navy Chief Yeoman Thomas Sheppard described what he saw when he stepped into the vault. On a square

table, documents and photos from a file were spread out. He was shown an old blackand-white photo.

“I had no idea of what I was looking at….

It had an old truck in it, and down on the ground — you could tell they were out in the desert — was some sort of a creature. It looked like, what I would call now, an alien creature.”

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

He looked at several other photos, one displaying the head of an alleged ET, and the other showing the body displayed horizontally, lying on a gurney. The documents contained the words “top secret” and “majic” written in red ink. He said it was an old file that appeared to come from the 1930s or ’40s.

Sheppard displayed a drawing he had made of the photo discovered in the secret vault. An alien lay on the desert ground in front of a 1940s-style pickup truck with a stake bed. The blue jeans and boots of a man could be seen on the left border of the photo, and an upright alien being could be seen standing up in the secured bed of the truck.

A second photo reportedly seen by Sheppard that day was taken in an apparant airplane hanger. On the right side of the photo, the khaki pants and black shoes of a military man could be seen. In the foreground, lying on a skid, were three alien bodies. One was mostly intact, one was lying in a fetal position with injuries to the side of its body, and the third sustained severe injury to its head, possibly due to charring.

Years later, confronted about his experience with the alleged Roswell file after spouting out about it to others, Sheppard was told by a lieutenant commander he served under that the government describes so-called aliens as Extraterrestrial Biological Entities, or EBEs. He was told the government was using extraterrestrial intelligence for military advantage.

“I think the public should be given the truth,” Sheppard told Moulton Howe. “And that’s all there is to it. Enough is enough.

For years I’ve understood the need for secrecy — but I can’t accept it any more. Not for this. Not to arrogantly and outlandishly just come right out in books and the media to say, ‘Roswell didn’t happen.’”

PROJECT BLUE BOOK Stephen Bassett, founder and executive director of Paradigm Research Group, the agency sponsoring the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, introduced a 15-minute video as part of his testimony to the panel on May 3. Bassett is a leading advocate in the nation for ending the 63-year government-imposed truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.

The video revealed a terminally ill man whose Stephen Bassett name was not disclosed. Fourteen years ago, he spoke with Linda Moulton Howe and threats were made against his life and his family by his government. However, due to his current poor health, the secret witness decided to speak on the record again, despite the past death threats. He talked with historian and author Richard Dolan — a witness at the Citizen Hearing whose focus has been the extraterrestrial truth embargo, the possible nature of the non-humans themselves, and what their presence here means for our civilization.

The video was recorded on March 5, 2013 at an Richard Dolan undisclosed location. It opened with an elderly man using a walker to enter what appeared to be a hotel room.

His story began in the fall of 1958, when he was a codebreaker for the Army. His superior officer pulled him aside and asked if he’d like to make some extra money. He consented but had to clear top White House clearance in order to do so. It turned out that his superior was a CIA director for the Eastern United States. The unidentified witness said he was given a CIA identification card, using an alias, when his security clearance went through six weeks later. He was assigned to Project Blue Book, a United States Air Force study to determine if UFOs were a threat to national security.

He and his team interviewed witnesses of sightings to determine if they were credible, and they investigated the full scope of what the government knew about Roswell and about ETs known as greys — and much more was revealed to him.

“I was overwhelmed with all of this,” the witness told Dolan on the video. “…And I had to take a vow that I wouldn’t tell anybody.”

At the time, the government told the public that UFOs were nothing more than misidentification, hoaxes, weather balloons or the product of wild imagination.

“My boss came to me and he says, ‘We both have a new assignment,’” the man told Dolan. “…We’re going to the Capitol.

We’re going to be part of the Eisenhower push, trying to find out something, all about these aliens.”

Our friends across the cosmos

The past few weeks have been exceedingly important, with the release of Dr. Steven Greer’s movie Sirius, (siriusdisclosure. com) and with the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure (www. citizenhearing.org). The metaphysical implications highlighted within these two events can and will provoke great change for the better within human society.

I asked Mother Mary what she would like to see in an article concerning human and extraterrestrial contact. Here is her response: “I would like statements of feeling that bring people forward toward love and oneness.

• “For humans, God is often our access point or focus toward love and oneness with all sentient beings. Some human and many extraterrestrial cultures would not describe this access point as God. Yet, many extraterrestrial cultures excel in their ability to love and experience oneness with all beings. It is of benefit to humans to make contact with such beings.

• “For humans to face up to the reality of intelligent extraterrestrial life present now on planet Earth, we must be willing to face our own eternal nature. We also must be willing to forgive those who have kept so many things hidden from us, whether because of fear, confusion, habit, greed, power or any other motivations, whether simply self-serving or intended for the good of all.

• “As we look deeply into ourselves to find peace, joy and love, we shall find outside of ourselves these same qualities in beings of many varieties and realms. It is important to recognize the necessity of this sequence: first we find the peace, joy and love within. Then we will see that it is available all around us, in many forms, which we simply would not be able to recognize with limited beliefs or material senses alone.  Disclosure continued from page 11 of scientists and government and military leaders that investigated the alleged crash landing and recovery of a space craft and extraterrestrial beings near Roswell, NM, a decade earlier. The committee met with President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Vice President Richard Nixon, members of the CIA (including the man testifying on the video) and told the president that the government did not have jurisdiction over them in the investigation. Eisenhower threatened to invade the secret military base known as Area 51, located northwest of Las Vegas, in order to get some answers.

The CIA operative and his superior then were flown to Area 51 on a fact-finding mission on behalf of the president. When they arrived, they were driven about 15 miles south in the desert to a secret base called S4, and they were taken to a building with several garage-door openings. Inside

When an angel began speaking with me in 1987, it was one word at a time in my mind. The next word wouldn’t come until I wrote or spoke the first word. This was the first time I was aware of receiving thought telepathically. Over time I learned to receive thoughts also through feelings, visuals, body sensations and some kind of deep knowings that seem nonphysical. And I realized that we all are exposed to telepathic influence nearly all the time.

I have seen many people in my classes become capable of this telepathic contact. For some it is very easy. Others, like me at the beginning, are oriented more towards thought than feeling, especially men, especially engineers, lawyers, scientists etc. With interest and intention, with practice and time, most people can develop these skills.

As we grow in these skills, loving relationships with a whole new range of beings becomes possible. When we first come to know someone in other realms, it is hard to distinguish if they are humans who have crossed over, angels, extraterrestrials or ascended masters. In reality, these differentiations may be totally meaningless. Some beings may be all of the above. What matters for these beings is just the same as for humans: Do they practice giving and receiving love? Their form or history is secondary.

Across 26 years, I’ve had many telepathic contacts with extraterrestrials, and a few in conjunction with physical correlates. I’ve had close relationships with three extraterrestrials in particular who have been major influences for me, deeply enriching my life. were various saucer crafts.

“The very first one — the Roswell craft,” he said, “was kind of crashed up. But apparently, every alien that was in that died — except for a couple.”

He was told that the source of power for the craft was “a reverse gravitational thing of some kind.”

“In fact, later on, I got the mathematical code for reversing gravity on a 3 x 5 card.”

Also while at S4, the unidentified witness said he and his superior viewed the autopsy film of aliens who died in the Roswell crash.

“And then the colonel said, ‘What we’ve got in here is we’re interviewing a grey alien.’”

The witness described the alien as looking “oriental,” but with an alien-shaped head, alien-looking skin, a very thin nose and holes for ears.

After that experience at S4, the CIA operatives were taken back to the Area 51 base. They were shown a U-2 spy plane that, at that time, was top secret. Not long

afterward, in 1960, the shooting down of a U-2 in Soviet airspace sparked the Cold War. Upon returning to Washington, D.C., the witness and his superior officer met with Eisenhower, Nixon and former president Herbert Hoover. The CIA operatives described the alien, the space craft and other secret military operations they had witnessed.

“They were just totally in shock,” the witness told Dolan. Eisenhower, he said, “appeared for the first time to be worried.”

But it was not the presence of aliens that worried the president, the witness said, but the presence of black operations underway at the secret bases.

The president, in his farewell address in 1961, famously said, “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist.”

Further testing — including DNA samples from viable bone marrow — is ongoing by top medical experts from Stanford University and others from around the world.

Dr. Greer’s lecture revealed why he truly wants the truth about extraterrestrials to be disclosed. He said advanced technology that would save the planet is being withheld from the world. Dr. Greer said his group is working to create a device that will “enable us to get off fossil fuels and nuclear power permanently as a civilization. We have (it).”

DNA, the Seven Sisters & Human Evolution An interview with Lee Carroll, channel of Kryon

“Greetings, dear ones, I am Kryon of magnetic service.” ¶ Thus begins an experience hundreds of thousands of people around the world have had, listening to channeler Lee Carroll provide a portal through which Kryon, an angelic entity from Source, has spoken to humanity for the past 24 years on esoteric, metaphysical topics that science gradually has been able to confirm.

Lectures by Carroll, which include direct channelings by Kryon, surprisingly are very scientific in nature. Carroll shares the latest discoveries — lately on the nature of human DNA — and relates them to information Kryon has offered in 15 books translated into 24 languages worldwide since 1989.

At the conclusion of a recent channeling, Kryon told his audience: “Blessed is the human being who cares enough about what is going to happen to take any of these things seriously, to walk out of the room differently because of it and know this was the truth — and you can feel it, because you expected it.”

Carroll returns to the Twin Cities on August 10 following the recent publication of Kryon Book 12: The Twelve Layers of DNA — An Esoteric Study of the Mastery Within. The book’s information dovetails with recent scientific breakthroughs on DNA coding, telling readers that human DNA is more than a key to our genetics and actually is a quantum molecule that may carry our entire Akashic Record — the history of our soul’s experience in every lifetime — and provide our innate connection with Source, or God, itself.

The following is a phone interview Carroll recently conducted with The Edge following one of his many seminars abroad.

Lee, thank you for taking the time to talk with me. Kryon has said, “My arrival in 1989

was a precursor for the potentials we knew were in place for today.” For those unfamiliar with Kryon, how would you characterize the information that has been provided continually by Kryon during all of these years?

Lee Carroll: He showed up 23 years ago

and said, “You’re not going to have an armageddon. You’re not going to have any kind of millennium crisis. You’re not going to have a situation of doom and gloom.

You’re going to avoid all of it.” And he said, “I’m due because of the change of consciousness that’s coming.”

That was the information in Book One. Subsequently, he’s been giving us all kinds of information over the last 23 years about an increasing Earth awareness of unification, instead of separation. It’s a very slow process.

It’s only been in the last three years that we’ve realized the true prophecy — after we’d gotten all of the doom-and-gloom stuff out of the way, all of the media hype out of

the way. The millennium shift had to come and go without anything happening, and then we turned our eyes on 2012 and all of the misinformation about the Mayans. We had that go by without anything happening.

So we are finally at the crux of what it was all about, all along. These are the hidden prophecies that no one has heard about, only because they had been usurped by the gloom. These prophecies are over 4,000 years old, and they’re coming from almost all of the indigenous people from all over the Earth.

Wherever I go, I talk to elders and indigenous people — from the aborigines in Australia to the Maoris in New Zealand, from people in North and South America.

And all of these people have had a prophecy that will blow your socks off if you haven’t heard it.

They talk about what the Mayans actually showed in their long-count calendar. It is about sweeps of changes in potential consciousness on the planet. It all centers around now. And they say that we will have a rebalancing of the planet, very slowly.

It’ll probably take another 18 years for this to happen, because that’s the half-cycle of the precession of the equinox. This is a movement toward a softer planet and consciousness.

They say the wisdom of Tibet and India and the northern hemisphere, the masculine hemisphere, will be balanced by

the wisdom that is starting to come up from where it has been in South America all this time. It will come up to balance the male and the female of the planet. We call it the movement of the kundalini.

One of the things that has been so fascinating to me is that these indigenous people all have their own name for the same thing. When we went to Peru, it was the Awakening of the Puma. The Lakota called it the Journey of the Feathered Serpent. It’s all about this rebalancing. We’ve spent a lot of time in South America, looking at what they’re doing and saying. There’s a true awakening down there.

In a nutshell, that’s what it’s all been about. So in your interview with me today, this is the first time we can really say that this is what it’s always been about. It hasn’t been some “pie in the sky,” Pollyanna channeling that we’re all going to be okay.

Now we have all of this evidence from all of these indigenous peoples, representing thousands of years of tradition and also prophecy, and they are all starting to come together. Over 200 tribes have been meeting during the last three years in Mexico, down in Colombia, and they’re coming together to celebrate this prophecy. They are calling it the Prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor.

It’s profound, it’s real, it’s happening and I’m starting to understand why Kryon came.

Let’s talk about the latest Kryon book, Book 12, focusing on 12 layers of DNA. LC: It’s the most

popular Kryon book we’ve every done, and it’s the most germaine to what is happening. I’m so excited that I can’t even tell you how much. It started last September and then two months ago it continued: We’re having discoveries about DNA right now that you can read about in Kryon Book 12. Just amazing stuff.

For the past 20 years, 90 percent of DNA had been classified as junk. They couldn’t figure out what to do with it. They didn’t know what it was. They just figured it was a holdover from evolution. They new better, but they just couldn’t figure it out. We have had some of the best minds and computers working on this for a long time, very smart people — chemists and physicists and such.

And then in September they figured it out.

You can look it up. Google it. It was hailed as one of the biggest discoveries in DNA of all time, since the discovery of the DNA molecule itself.

And they discovered what’s in it. Ninety percent of DNA is what they’re calling the control panel. It’s the manual, the instructions, for the protein encoding parts,

the 3 percent that make the genes. This is exactly what Kryon said in 2010. He said the 90 percent of DNA is the instruction sets to make the rest. It instructs the engine.

And Kryon went on to say in Book 12: “And the instructions are variable.” So you can rewrite them with consciousness. That’s not something we’ve ever been told about ourselves. It’s all so esoteric to think you can change your life with consciousness.

Then two months ago, we got Russian

LC: My favorite subject. I only bring it up briefly in Book 12, because the book is not about ETs, but about our DNA. But we cannot ignore this. I did for years. I didn’t want to talk about the ET connection, because why? I didn’t want to put people off.

I didn’t want them having their eyes rolling.

I wanted to teach what Kryon taught, which is: How can you look inside and find the God within? This is information we’ve had from all the masters from the beginning of

linguists who were working now on the new information that was discovered in September that the 90 percent of DNA that serves as the instruction manual is shaped like language. They said that their evidence is irrefutable: It can be rewritten.

So here we go, with science catching up to some of the most esoteric principles we’ve ever had. I talk about this in my new seminars. It’s very exciting to me.

And in Book 12, Kryon talks about how the layers of the DNA are multidimensional, they’re quantum, they really cannot be seen in laboratories, because they’re scattered throughout the galaxy, perhaps.

LC: This would be hard to prove, but it

has been proven that the biological DNA molecule, which is way too large to ever be considered a quantum particle, actually sets the spin of electrons in a quantum field.

So it’s like the DNA has information that’s talking to quantum energy — and that’s provable.

So the DNA does have multidimensional properties, but not as we think of a quantum particle. What Kryon has said all along is this: It’s bigger than you think and we have a quantum energy in us. Why we haven’t seen this is because we’ve been so linear in our thinking and in old, slogging energy for so long. We’re going to start to see some revelations — and I think we’ve just seen some in the last couple of months.

Let’s talk about an aspect of Kryon Book 12 that a segment of our scientists will never talk about, and that is the connection that humanity has with the Seven Sisters, the Pleiades.

In my travels, when I meet with the indigenous people, ask for an elder and set up a meeting, my first statement after the ceremony that we need to go through is: Tell me your creation story. This is when I just have to smile, because over and over and over they have told me about the connection with the Seven Sisters.

We heard that in Australia, at Ayers Rock (Uluru), and that is their origin. Go to Hawaii, where supposedly we had Lemuria, which was one of the first settlements of the Pleiadians, and that is exactly their story.

In fact, they even have a ceremony that celebrates the Seven Sisters once a year, when that constellation is overhead. The Seven Sisters is one of the only constellations that appears over both hemispheres. And the Maori have a celebration that is only one letter off from the Hawaiian ceremony.

On and on and on it goes, no matter where I go, there is a reference. Sometimes it is hidden and obscured in metaphors, but you have the six and one, and the seven, and they often cloak it in a story.

Is it possible that we were seeded from another planet? That is to say, an ascended, graduated planet that gave us the seeds of knowledge of dark and light? This is our creation story in the Bible. In the Bible we have a garden, which of course is a metaphor for the Earth. We have humans that are fully developed. Adam and Eve were not cave people. And suddenly an angel comes down and gives them what?

indigenous ones and us is that they had ETs and we had a talking snake. So why is it so remarkably foreign to people when you start to look at it?

I didn’t want to talk about the ET connection until I had some documentable evidence that many of the indigenous people of the Earth believe exactly what we are talking about.

It’s in our DNA. Did you know that we have 23 chromosomes — and two of them are fused together? That separates us from the apes — they have 24 — and this is what has been called the “missing link.” They’re trying to figure out what happened. And in one of the most recent books by Gregg Braden — I turn to him because he is a scientist — he tells us that more and more scientists looking at our DNA are saying that we didn’t come from anything here on Earth.

You mentioned finding the Divinity within.

Talk about the God layer that Kryon refers to as one of the 12 layers of the DNA. LC: In our multidimensional DNA, this

is actually where the Higher Self is. It’s “higher,” because it’s multidimensional; it vibrates higher. It’s in the quantum part of our structure. Some of the oldest religions on the planet have known about this. The Hindus. The Buddhists. Greeting one another, acknowledging the God within.

Namasté. That God is inside us is intuitive human knowledge. We have the masters who walked the Earth, including the most recent ones — whether you’re talking about Mohammed and the angel in the cave, or you’re talking about Christ — and they all said the same thing: “God is inside.”

So it’s not a startling, New Age, esoteric, “woo woo” revelation that maybe we want to find out a little more about that and pin it down. But you can’t pin it down, because it’s multidimensional. Kryon said, “You’ll find the essence in every piece of DNA. And somehow, that coordinates with the portal, often called the pineal gland, and that has been recognized. The pineal lines up with the third eye (chakra), the bindi. This corresponds with some of the most intuitive human beliefs on the planet.

What does Kryon say about what we can do in our everyday lives in connection with this information about the DNA? LC: What Kryon wants us to do is start

a readjustment and a recallibration of awareness. Belief and intent are two of the strongest tools we have in consciousness.

When an entire country believes a certain way, they get things done. They pass laws.

They elect leaders. That happens through an intent of what they want and what they don’t want. For years and years and years, we have just sat around and let these kinds of things percolate. And it hasn’t been helped that there have been all of these

doom-and-gloom scenarios.

Suddenly, the way is clear for us to look at this in a clearer way. Kryon says the ones who will do this are your readers, the old souls who come to my meetings, the ones who are interested in what I am saying right now. These are the ones we’re finding all over the planet who really want to make a difference.

So when it comes to a practical thing to do, start with intent and belief — and from there, it leads you forward to action items.

They include things like how to live longer, how to start treating people differently.

All of these things are seen by the planet and are amplified by the planet. We didn’t make this up. This has been a part of Metaphysics 101 for years and years. Our planet, called Gaia, actually echoes human consciousness. Whatever we feed it, it amplifies.

So this is what the work is about today.

Kryon calls it seed planting.

You referred to a recalibration of awareness.

Does that relate to what Kryon said, that civilization as we know it began in 2013?

LC: Yes. He said that someday the difference

between the old and the new will be so great that they will look back and say, “The Dark Ages stopped in 2012 and 2013 was the start of the Enlightened Age.” If you ask my children what they think when they see World War II films, they laugh and say it’s quaint and we don’t do that any more, that’s not who we are today. They’d be right, except I was alive! (laughing) Things have changed fast. We are not doing that any more. There was a time when conquering others was just what you did.

You had a bigger army than the other guy, then you went over and conquered him. It was a no-brainer.

So yes, there’s been a recalibration of what we want.

You haven’t asked this, but I am going to go for it. There is an underlying thing that is different today than six, seven, eight years ago. Kryon said there would come a time when everybody could talk to anybody and there would be no secrets. He’s talking about social networking.

A lot of adults my age are looking at this and saying, “Well, we didn’t need that when we were kids,” and they’re trying to correct it. “They’re spending too much

time on their phone.” You’re seeing social interactions you’ve never seen before.

Fourteen kids will show up around a table, look at their phones and not even talk to each other. They’re busy texting each other and looking at Facebook.

What they don’t recognize is that we have tens of thousands of young people online connecting with one another, and countries and languages seem to have no barrier.

We’re finding out that Iranians are talking to Palestinians talking to Israelis. All over Facebook they’re saying they don’t want a war. They want better roads, a hospital or two, some nice stuff and the ability to go dancing at night. They really get it.

They’re not just innocent and don’t know anything about the world. They know a lot about the world — and they don’t want the hate anymore. That hate propagated the attitudes of their parents, their grandparents and the parents before them and created all of the wars. They’re tired of it. And they’re talking to each other — and they’ve never been able to do that before. And it’s going to make a tremendous difference.

Because of all of the negativity and fear that we went through last year, is that why Kryon said 2013 is a resting year?

LC: Yes, he just said to everybody, “Just rest.”

Don’t start a whole bunch of new things, even though you might feel like you want to.

It’s unsettled right now. He even called this the year of the full moons. Before we started seeing a lot of crazy stuff going on, he said there was going to be some crazy stuff going on. He said there’ll be unbalance, people will be pushed over the edge, they’ll do things they’ve never done before. I don’t have to tell you what’s going on in our own country. It’s not business as usual. There’s going to be a lot of unbalance, and some of it is going to break our heart.

What can those who attend your Minnesota event in August expect?

LC: I’m going back to years ago when I

focused on the idea of: What do you perceive of as real? I want to show some experiments and some physics. I want to pull these things together so they’ll understand that what is real and what is metaphysical may actually be in the same bag. I want to push the envelope between perception and belief.

We’ll talk about the newest discoveries with DNA and continue presenting anything new.

Neuroscience & our connected minds

In the early 1990s, Italian neuroscientist Giacomo Rizzolatti was working with a team studying the brain of a macaque monkey at the University of Parma in Italy.

During this time they found, quite by accident, that when one of the scientists ate a peanut, the same motor neurons fired in the monkey’s brain as if the monkey had eaten a peanut, too. These neurons were called “mirror” neurons. because they fire not only when performing an action, like eating a peanut, but they also fire by observing the actions of another.

When we see someone eating a delicious slice of banana cream pie and our mouth waters, or someone giggles and we smile, or they yawn, and suddenly so do we, it’s because our mirror neurons in our brain are kicking in.

But why is this revolutionary new research, and what does it mean for human beings?

One of the reasons that mirror neuron research is so fascinating is because it has broad implications for the connections we share with the people in our lives. Dr. Daniel Siegel, a pioneering neuropsychiatrist in the field of interpersonal neurobiology, has written about the way that mirror neurons work in our relationships, especially with our children, in his recent book, The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind. As a parent educator, I have drawn on Siegel’s work about the human mind to speak to parents about the way children’s brains develop, and why their relationship with their child is so influential to how their child’s brain is shaped.

The good news is that you don’t have to be a neuroscientist to know how mirror neurons operate.

Mirror neuron research has implications for all of our relationships, with our children, friends, co-workers, family members and lovers. Just as our mouth begins to water when we see someone eating a delicious piece of pie, we also mirror the emotional states of others, according to Dr. Siegel. We are like sponges, soaking up the behaviors, intentions, and emotions of those around us.

How many of us notice that when we feel happy, our days flow with a joyful ease that, at times, can feel magical. Our children behave better; our coworkers are helpful; everyone seems to

respond to us cheerfully. Mirror neuron research indicates our state of happiness is having a direct positive neurological impact on everyone we meet. That is why vibrant, healthy people are so magnetic; we want their positive state of mind to rub off on us.

Just the opposite is true, as well, if we spend time with fearful, pessimistic people, our brains pick up all those negative vibes they are sending out. It is no wonder we are often naturally repelled by these kinds of people. Our brains are actively being reshaped with every conversation, and every relationship we have throughout our entire lives.

Mirror neuron research shows us there is an outer resonance to our own internal states of mind. When we become aware of this, it gives us the impetus to consider how we are impacting others, and how others are impacting us. By paying attention during the everyday, ordinary moments of our lives, we can tune into what is going on within us, becoming mindful of our internal states of mind.

As we learn how to sift for the sensations, images, feelings and thoughts in our minds, we gain a much deeper understanding of ourselves, Dr. Siegel writes. As we grow in self-awareness, we help our children to do the same, because they “mirror” us. That is why I teach parents that one of the best gifts they can give their children is to simply stay present, to be intentional about the way they are shaping their child’s mind.

Mirror neuron research confirms that we directly pass on our emotional life to our children. In reality, that is a gift in every relationship we have. all physical matter is a result of frequency

We transmit our reality (our thoughts and behaviors). We are each running selfcontain programs within our operating systems.

We are consciousness conductors — and we are expanding. However, our systems are being hacked and hijacked through the information (the matrix) we receive daily here on the Planet.

We are being used, manipulated and modulated to create a reality that serves a falsity.

We can make a difference if we pay attention, identify and take responsibility.

Are you really awake?

As a truth seeker, we sometimes look to others for healings. In my early years of awakening, I certainly did. Today, I have discovered that healings can occur that are not inwardly sustained.

The healer has made an agreement on some level — to work with dark forces that include the siphoning of (others’) light while facilitating a personal healing. I must say that I feel this is unknown to healers — that they are being used.

The smoke and mirror effect.

The Twilight Master is smiling and beautiful, however you will sense when something is off.

Something will not seem right. Although the pattern may be obvious, one may not see the forest through the trees. Things aren’t always as they appear. Do not dismiss subtle feelings of uneasiness or confusion. This is evidence of interference and corruption. Is there a dominating ego? Avoidance? Emotional abuse?

Question what is hidden behind elitism or an exclusive connection to God/angels and with those who channel masters or guides.

White magic and black magic are the same technology. What sets dark and light apart is how it’s intentionally used. When teaching or promotion is entangled with personal agenda and manipulation, dark forces are at work behind the scenes — whether the beings involved are aware of what is really taking place or not. The influences that lead into falsity in service to the ego, through fame and attention, are attention funneling and diverting diverting communication with God. See and recognize the Twilight Master of self and others.

Attuning to God/Source Connection to protect and clear is extremely important. Remember, the day of the guru is over. Self-reliance in that you are God and know your connection to source is solid and strong. Energetic Mastery.

There is a spiritual anatomy that is beneficial to look at: levels and layers that include dimensions/ timelines. Through the Harmonic Triads and levels of bodies within consist of a complexity of healing, releasing and reconnections. As our bodies evolve and we encrypt code that reveals hidden history, we also become beacons on a

radar that attract negative forces with an agenda in opposition to our direct communication links/ connection with God/Source.

This is crucial time of expansion that we must break through with no fear — moving beyond mind control, explosive situations and major life changes. During this point of my life, I was diagnosed with cancer — and had I had the expanded brainpower as I do now, a disease would not have had a chance to manifest in my energy field. The good news is that frequencies are here to support those of us who choose to be free, and are firmly in place. There is no right or wrong way; experience is our education. I am glad to say, I’ve learned to value my experiences, as I move forward.

God technology is divine inheritance, and with this knowledge and integration of this energy comes great responsibility. As we look and feel into our inner core, we recognize 100 percent pure truth. It is no worry that we are all at different stages of our Spiritual (Energetic) Evolution.

Again, there is no wrong way.

However, there is ignorance. The dark force is not going to disappear any time soon. My understanding of 5D Ascension has brought me the explanation of why. The 5D Ascension timeline is obsolete. We are the Sovereign God Made Manifest. In other words, we are bringing the energy into our being and body, not moving up into the energy. As we permeate upgrades of frequency to Organic Ascension Models, we become Energetic Masters.

As you read this, you may know that we are facilitators (not teachers or gurus) to guide others to support new frequencies and the changes that are occurring. The false support system is being withdrawn. Interventions outside the Universal Time Matrix through direct source light contact are available to those that are open and devoted to receive this new wave of energetic support.

This is to understand Polarity Integration through Unity Intelligence of the Krystal Star Matrix. The Energy of the Krystal Star (Christos) was not anchored down until January 2013. We have all heard and have anticipated this great shift; it has been referred to in numerous ways, maybe most familiar when it has been called the galactic shift of 12/21/12, the end of the Mayan calendar.

It is significant to realize that through eons of time humans on this planet have been modified as a hybrid by negative forces — with technology beyond our comprehension. The purpose of this manipulation was and is to feed their domination and agendas around their hierarchy (including the shadow government) from living beings on planet earth and beyond. Angels + Art = A new era of healing

by Lori Daniel Falk Michael Jackson once said, “I believe that all art has as it’s ultimate goal, the union between the material and the spiritual, the human and the divine.”

The impact of the arts in the process of healing was recognized early on by Hippocrates, who understood the importance of uplifting his patients’ spirits. Over the past 10 years, there has been a dramatic growth in the use of the arts in medicine.

In fact, renowned institutions such as Duke University Medical Center and Dartmouth Medical School are doing research on the subject of art as a healing tool. These recent scientific studies show us that art heals by changing both a person’s physiology and their emotional attitude.

According to the Art As A Healing Force organization, when a person experiences art, “The body’s physiology changes from one of stress to one of deep relaxation, from one of fear to one of creativity and inspiration. Art and music put a person in a different brain wave pattern; art and music affect a person’s autonomic nervous system, their hormonal balance, and their brain neurotransmitters.”

Further, the research tells us this: “Neurophysiologists have shown that art, prayer and healing all come from the same source in the body, they all are associated with similar brain-wave patterns, mind-body changes and they all are deeply connected in feeling and meaning. Art, prayer, and healing all take us into our inner world, the world of imagery and emotion, of visions and feelings” — the very place where divine angelic guidance and inspiration occurs.

Michael Samuels, in his book Creative Healing, writes, “The concept is catching fire, is awakening in people’s spirits… Artists, musicians and dancers are realizing their

imagery has meaning…that their imagery heals them, others, their neighborhood, or the earth.” There’s even a new organization — The Arts and Healing Network — that serves as an international forum for anyone interested in the healing potential of art.

According to the group’s founder, Marion Weber, “The Arts and Healing Network honors and supports the emergence of healing artists and recognizes them as essential catalysts for positive change.”

Angelic art therapy is part of this whole new genre of “healing art” that is being born as we speak. Put simply, art creates hope. Being in the presence of angels does the same. Angelic healing art combines the best of both worlds. It intoxicates the senses, while uplifting the spirit. Angelic art is quite simply a wonderful emotional healing tool. a new day : an ancient horizon

In December 2012, I was leading a group of students in a Frequencies of Brilliance certification course in the Brazilian jungle. On the final night, we remained the entire time in the workroom, held in a mandala of sacred geometry. It was impossible not to have some expectations, as we all had heard innumerable predictions about what was to take place on 12-2112.

I sat quietly expectant in the warm darkness. As the hours passed, I experienced a gradual dissolving of structure and a profound simplicity.

I was in my place on this Earth plane within a vast Divine order. No thought or emotion. There were no explosions of light. No visitations by beloved ascended masters. The world did not end nor were we raised up to Glory.

I was aware of my breath, the beating of my heart, and the students near me in the candlelight. I was — and that was clearly enough. Just before sunrise, we walked to the beach. I took my place on the sand in front of the ocean and watched the day begin. As the first rays extended from the horizon up through the clouds, I made a commitment to align my path forward with this new simplicity.

After decades of participating in various mystery schools and enjoying books by famous authors — as well as teaching a powerful healing modality — I am aware of how alluring it is to market enlightenment. I recognize the feeling when someone I respect labels me as special and surely marked for enlightenment this lifetime. My

ego fairly glows with such news! Those who find interest in metaphysics are probably familiar with the worst of New Age excesses. Therefore, it is vital to frequently review what is important and ask in what way will a particular technique or person serve one’s personal goals.

Wandering without a compass can be a good way to avoid taking responsibility, and following without evaluating each step is not conscious.

I am convinced that cultivating consciousness — moment-bymoment — is critical to our creating balance in the present, as well as an essential aspect of our evolution towards whatever may exist beyond the horizon.

There is a well-known tendency of the mind to habitually avoid the present, incessantly projecting our attention into the imagined future or reliving the past. Some scientists estimate that we generate more than 70,000 thoughts per day, the majority of which are completely mundane. Meditation begins with the challenging task of slowly calming this incessant storm. An obsession with the future can manifest as a longing for enlightenment or perhaps a new technique or master who will transmit a magic spark. When I am asked to consider the possibility of new horizons, I am instantly cautious, not wanting to feed this obsession with future another delicious idea. It just feels like more fuel for the engine of the mind.

During that quiet night in Brazil, what dissolved in me is the need Horizon continued on page 24 

What else that has not been realized predominately is this: How does stress and sickness derived from our mind thoughts affect our soul? This is a partial cause of soul fragmentation. As soul becomes more and more fragmented, this leads to a possible dire point of no return. The soul and seed atom are shattered and sucked into a phantom system. Daily spiritual work is imperative. Connect. Protect and Clear. As more of us understand this concept, we become activated and help to activate each other and the planet.

What is activation? Our human bodies are merging and manifesting the Krystal Star (Christos Consciousness) coming into Unity Source Code. This can be explained as holding trinity wave formats that connect directly into God — The Eternal Source Light.

As we move from bi-wave to tri-wave systems, the new frequencies permeate into our auric field and lightbody — neurological sequences ignite the working of these new frequencies. To heal the planet is to embody the new architecture and anchor it down in our proximate locations. A base pulse rhythm creates a circumference safe zone. The more of us that do this, the more safe zones we will have on the planet. The Christos Template (12D Krystal star energy) shall be embodied as we continue to build this energy on the planet.

When we open our minds to the microcosm and macrocosm of planetary, human and all of universal creation, we are expanding into an infinite realm of restoration. As we take action. As we ask questions. As we seek the truth and understand what is possible, we create clearer and clearer connections with God. Let’s integrate our cosmic self and step up to the plate of spiritual responsibility. Let’s pay attention to what is going on around us. Can we make the needed changes, similar to changes such as eating whole foods and physical exercise? Let’s grow spiritually (energetically) when we continue or establish a daily practice. Death: A medium’s experience with life on the other side

No one has ever come back to talk about it!

For those who had a near-death experience (NDE), though, there is no fear. They report having experienced being escorted by an angel or a bright light, going through a tunnel, and connecting with loved ones on the other side.

My 92-year-old cousin said that she was visited by a very bright angel. “It was so real!” The next week, the angel did in fact return to take her to the light.

Those who depart often want to give a sign to their loved ones that they are okay.

People report that after passing, a loved one appeared to them. Or they received a phone call with no voice at the other end which, when traced, came from a disconnected number. Or they smelled a whiff of the loved one’s cologne/cigarettes. Or a plant that has never bloomed starts blooming.

My first personal connection with the other side took place a week after my beloved husband, Don, died of heart failure at age 31. I had to go to the Social Security office to file some papers. I searched Don’s desk inside and out, but I could not find them. I pleaded with Don to find them for me. The next morning, the papers were sitting on top of the desk!

A year later, I was driving with my 2-year-old son, who was asleep in his car seat. Don just started talking to me in a comforting half-hour monologue. I could hardly see through my tears! I expressed concern that our son would wake up, but Don said, “Not until I leave.” At the instant when Don said, “Goodbye,” our son opened his eyes. Then I realized at the deepest level that there is no death, only a translation to

I have stepped back from searching for more information in order to progress on what I have claimed as my path. In its place is my commitment to being conscious, whether on the meditation cushion or in the world.

Since that morning last December, I have found deeper resources with which to meet myself, in whatever state, momentby-moment. This inner focus, this spacious presence is, increasingly, allowing my life a

another dimension. Our loved ones watch over and guide us always!

After that incredible experience, I was asked by friends to connect with their loved ones. Those who were contacted always appeared to be happy, content, and supportive of those left behind.

The departed also maintain their sense of humor! After a channeling session in San Francisco with his friend, Rob, the client mentioned that Rob never returned a black t-shirt that he had lent him. But on the way home, he was shocked to find a black t-shirt in his size in a free box on the sidewalk!

Even people who have committed suicide seem relieved to have left the earth plane. They usually mention that those left behind should not feel guilty. No matter how much rope could be extended, it never would have been long enough to rescue them from severe mental illness and alcoholism. They say that taking their own

richer, more heartfelt, authentic quality.

All the predictions certainly did not prepare me for the experience last December. It was neither loud nor dramatic.

Instead, I feel I am living in a state of pure potential. My choice is to not interfere with the natural birth process, although my mind wants to explain and map a final answer. My heart has answered a call to enter deeply into the present and has assumed a humble posture of surrender and openness. Sometimes upon death, however, the spirit does not leave the earth plane — specifically the place it had lived or frequented. It is stuck! Steps to create peace on Earth

by Leah Skurdal Twenty years ago, someone named John acted bravely and confronted me on my violent communication style. I was shocked. How could I be perceived as communicating violently?

I saw myself as a peaceful person. I had served on the college Peace and Justice Committee. I had volunteered two years with the U.S. Peace Corps.

I had lots of friends to confirm my peace-loving character. Thank you, John, wherever you are.

You changed my life.

Curious about how I misrepresented myself, I participated in communication workshops.

The Alternatives to Violence Project and the Center for Nonviolent Communication (NVC) offered excellent programs. I learned new skills to communicate in a way that allowed people to hear my message more easily.

Besides my NVC toolbox, I have found that using my intuitive skills to assess where the other person is coming from serves well in a conflict. In my Deepening Your Intuition class, I offer some tips and tools to assess where you or another are coming from.

When you behave in a way that comes from the small self, rather than the Soul Self connected to Divine Love, you see and experience others’ actions and behaviors from their small selves, as well. When you can pause in the moment to rise above the small self and listen to the voice of God Within, you can see the situation from a higher perspective.

When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That’s the message he is sending. — Thich Nhat Hanh Here are three suggestions for a conflict: See a triangle You can do this from the quiet of your favorite chair or, if you can, even during a conflict. Imagine a triangle that connects your heart to another person’s heart and the apex of the triangle to Source where you both are One. Imagine that Divine Love is flowing around the triangle, from Oneness to your heart to the other person’s heart. Feel both of you being nourished and filled to overflowing. Notice if anything changes in your conflict. One or both of you might see the situation with new eyes or hear a new perspective.

Listen deeply for unmet needs. Marshall Rosenberg, founder of NVC, says, “Violence is the tragic expression of an unmet need.” In my own

life, I tend to use a critical tone of voice (which feels violent) when I feel things are not going the right way and I feel responsible for the outcome.

For example: When my child wants to leave the house without a coat in the winter, I default to a hard-to-hear tone of voice, “It’s below freezing!

You must wear a coat!” The win-lose conflict escalates until I win this one, and my child leaves with a coat, but at what cost to our relationship and to my child’s self-esteem?

In my ideal world, during such a conflict, we would listen deeply for each other’s unmet needs: “Do you need to make your own choice about what you wear?” I ask.

“Mom, do you need me to stay healthy so I don’t mess up your schedule for the week?” my child replies.

“Well, yes, you nailed that one!” I say.

Whether or not my child wears a coat, we are continuing the conversation at a higher level.

Try another’s perspective We see the world through our personalities and our set of experiences. After carrying water up a steep hill in the Peace Corps, I became judgmental when I saw someone using a lot of water to wash dishes.

That was my perspective about what was right.

With the conflicts I am observing lately, I notice very distinct views about what is right.

Some people care deeply about best practices and procedures. Others care deeply about heart connections to other people. A clash occurs when people see their perspective and priorities as more right than another’s. Try the old adage of walking in someone else’s shoes. How would you receive the message you are delivering if you had walked in the other person’s shoes?

Evolutionary Pagan

It’s the spark of shared ideas, experiences and emotions. But when you create a social structure that is based on external validation, it disempowers the individual and eventually creates opposition.

Seeking external validation is an unconscious act of giving power to someone else — with the expectation that they will later confer it back to you. This is where schism starts. There is little in our world that teaches us how to validate ourselves that doesn’t include cautionary tales of ego, narcissism or controlling behavior. There is a notion in our culture that claiming one’s power is the path to the “dark side,” that any self-proclaimed person is not that thing, and power can only be wielded by those that do not want it. So we wait, hoping someone will find us worthy enough.

Training is great for giving us the tools necessary to go forward grounded in knowledge.

But no one has the right to tell you when you are ready, when you are worthy, or even if you are capable. Putting one’s self in a position of only doing what others say is appropriate prevents you from experiencing the potential richness of your own life.

Today, I am the author of this column, I am the marketing director for a festival, I recently published my first CD, and appeared as an anchor on a pagan television show. What got me here was deciding that I was done waiting.

Self-validation says, I can be or do anything, and I am tired of holding back.

From a very young age I was taught about meditation, visualization, crystals, tarot cards, psychic powers and spirit guides. By the time I was 10, I had reviewed my astrological birth chart, knew my numerology and was informed of what psychics had predicted before I was born. All the signs pointed towards becoming a spiritual teacher or leader. That was my life path and purpose.

When I was 14, my father handed me a book on Wicca and we began to study it together as a family. It seemed as though we had found a name for things we had already been practicing and believed in. Later that year, we went to our first festival. I remember falling in love with festival culture and feeling certain that if I was meant to be a leader, it would be in the pagan community as a priestess initiating people into the mysteries.

Between the ages of 15 and 23, I explored several different groups, not yet realizing the power of venturing out on my own. I also didn’t yet realize that a deep connection with “Spirit” came from a place of sincere practice that often gets lost in the group experience.

Publicly I sang with a chant group for Covenant of the Goddess rituals, performed rituals for Pagan Pride, and eventually became the ritual director for Harmony Tribe. But it seemed the more I ventured out in the community, the more criticism I received. I was told many times that my ego was out of control and that I needed to check my motivations.

At this point, I began to question whether or not my parents had unwittingly implanted in me a sort of narcissistic Jesus complex with all their “old soul” talk. Maybe my purpose didn’t lie in leading people through spiritual experiences. Maybe it really was my ego striving for recognition.

Ten years ago, I stepped back from the community because I kept receiving the message that I was seeking validation for an overblown ego. Since I have returned to take on a more active role, it has become clear to me that 99 percent of the drama within the pagan community has also revolved around “ego” and “validation.”

Validation is what draws us into groups, relationships and alliances in the first place.
