In the image of God: You are the divinity you seek

by William Meader The search for God is central to most world religions. Whether referred to as God, Allah, Brahman or Universal Intelligence, the yearning to feel the presence of a greater being is innate within human consciousness. Regardless of cultural, racial and religious biases, the desire to establish an intimacy with God is a universal urge.

Indeed, it has existed since humanity’s dawning hour. Yet, a new understanding about our relationship to the divine is slowly emerging. We are discovering that the path to God leads to our own divinity. It is an awakening to the fact that the seeker and the sought are one.

In essence, there is only One Life. It is a living singularity, and is what is meant when using the word God. From this oneness, all things arise.

Whether we are considering a tree, an animal, or the entity that ensouls the entire Earth, the life essence within all forms is an aspect of the One Life in expression. And, if the One Life is the essence underlying all that is, then every human being must be an expression of that essence.

At the deepest and subtlest levels of human consciousness is found a place of divine realization. It is a place where sacredness is touched.

When this inner place is found we shall discover that the god we are striving to find is ourselves, in essence.

Ancient wisdom states that “as above, so below.”

This idea is useful when considering the divinity of a human being. It not only suggests that we are a part of God, but that the attributes inherent within God are also found within every one of us. For example, the energies of will, love and intelligence are qualities we often attribute to God. If this ancient proverb is correct, it means that the will, love and intelligence that we experience are extensions of the same qualities emanating from God. Though these qualities are stepped down and greatly distorted when experienced by a human being, they are nonetheless of divine origin.

is dual. The lower part is the personality (ego), and the higher division is the soul. Both the personality and the soul are expressions of the One Life — the essence behind both is divine. The difference is that the personality distorts this essence, while the soul does not. Recognizing this duality is therefore the first step when trying to live your divinity.

Once this internal duality is acknowledged, the second step is to commit yourself to more fully expressing the higher consciousness that you inwardly sense. Favor those psychological qualities that seem lofty and spiritual: compassion, wisdom and purpose. These aspects of consciousness need to find greater expression in our lives.

To live your divinity also involves the upliftment of humanity in some way. The soul is always governed by the law of service. Inherent in its nature is the urge to contribute to the betterment of the larger whole. When you begin to sense your divinity, you start to see it within others, as well. Indeed, you start to realize that the One Life is expressing through everyone and everything.

From this realization the impulse to serve will surely arise.

Though we have many imperfections that seem to deny our godhood, this is only an illusion.

Eventually, the divinity of every human being is realized as the intangible essence lying beyond day-to-day consciousness. It is found in the formless realms deep within. In truth, enlightenment is nothing more than becoming the divine light that you essentially are, and always have been. a William Meader will appear at Spirit United Church for public talks and workshops from October 9-13.

Spiritual Community Open House

The Lake Harriet Spiritual Community building, at 44th Street and Upton Avenue in the Linden Hills neighborhood of southwest Minneapolis, is now on the National Register of Historic Places through the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service division.

To celebrate the honor, a “Making History Open House” will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, featuring live music, food, commemorative cards and tours of the building. The public is encouraged see the magnificent structure from the inside.

The distinctive structure was built in 1916 and is one of the few remaining examples of the Classical Revival architectural style in Minneapolis. Originally the Lake Harriet Methodist Episcopal Church, the building possesses classical elements of symmetry, masterfully crafted stained, painted and leaded glass windows, and a prominent drum-supported dome.

National Health Freedom Summit Barbara Loe Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Center, will be the keynote speaker on September 27 at the Health Freedom Awards Banquet at Hamline University. The event is part of a two-day summit in which 40 health and freedom-conscious organizations gather in St. Paul to discuss the health freedom movement and top issues facing health freedom today.

This year’s conference will highlight inspired stories of people who have stood up to protect human rights to make choices surrounding health.

The event is hosted by the National Health Freedom Coalition, a non-profit based in Minnesota.

“We all want to protect the right of people to have what they need to be well, and that sometimes means fighting for our right to choose, our right to have accurate information, our right to decline treat-

ments, or to avoid toxic substances,” says Diane Miller, JD, a key organizer of the summit.

Dr. Ulness to present Karma workshop Dr. James Ulness of Fargo, N.D., will lead a four-hour workshop — “Understanding your Karma, Freedom and Destiny” — from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in a special presentation of the Theosophical Society at Spirit United Interfaith Church, 3204 Como Ave. SE, Minneapolis.

This interactive workshop is part of the Minneapolis Theosophical Society’s series on ancient mysteries and ancient wisdom.

Harpist Bettie Seitzer will provide special music.

Dr. Ulness is professor emeritus in psychology at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. He is a popular visiting lecturer in the Twin Cities. The concept for this special four-hour weekend workshop arose during a June lecture in Minneapolis where many of his former students urged him to organize a more in-depth discussion of karma as viewed by various mystery schools and esoteric studies. This workshop will go beyond the scope of his June lecture in exploring the various types of karma and the role of individual freedom and destiny with regard to karma.

“We have reached the point in the evolution of consciousness,” Ulness said, “where it becomes imperative that we understand karma and its role in our lives.

“To know the laws and conditions of human destiny will further our development from fatalism to freedom,” he said. “For many hundreds of years, the concepts of karma and reincarnation were suppressed by the powers that be; and this was so successfully done that these concepts were almost completely removed from Western humanity’s consciousness.

“Now is the time to recover these concepts

and make them a living part of our thinking.”

Dr. Ulness said the following are the greatest misconceptions Westerners have with regard to karma: • Westerners tend to equate karma with fate. Fatalism should have become obsolete Dr. James Ulness several centuries ago, but it still finds its way into Western thought and language, especially among New Agers.

• Many Westerners tend to think of karma only in the negative sense. If something “bad” happens out of the blue, it is karma, but if something “good” happens people tend to attribute it to themselves.

• Many Westerners believe that notions of karma and reincarnation are incompatible with Christianity. Up until recently, Christians sent missionaries to those people and places where such concepts are used.

• Westerners who do use the concepts of reincarnation and karma believe that their present personality returns in their next lifetime.

“We are evolving ever more towards freedom,” Dr. Ulness said, “which means that change in our lives is being shaped more and more by the choices we make.

And this is influenced strongly by our attitude towards karma. Consequently, it is imperative that we have greater knowledge of how karma works — knowing that there is ‘good’ karma, as well as ‘bad’ karma (although all karma is potentially edifying), and that we can play a conscious role in creating good karma. Curried Lamb Meatballs

If you’re new to eating lamb, this is a great recipe to try. Lamb can have a strong flavor, but the seasonings in this recipe make it mild and delicious. This recipe is made in the crockpot, which many people think of as a “winter” way to cook, but I find it’s a time-saving cooking method all year long.

Ingredients: Sauce 2 TBS olive or coconut oil 2 medium onions, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger

1 tsp. curry powder Pinch of cayenne (optional) 28 oz. can tomato puree, unsalted 1/4-1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/2 cup chicken broth

Meatballs 2 lbs. pastured, ground lamb 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. ground coriander 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. garam masala 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/2 cup cilantro Directions: 1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the onions, garlic, ginger, curry powder, and cayenne and sauté for 2 minutes, until the mixture is fragrant.

2. Add the tomatoes, sea salt and broth. Transfer the sauce to the slow cooker.

3. Combine all the meatball ingredients, except the cilantro, in a large mixing bowl and mix until well blended. Shape into 2-inch meatballs and drop into the sauce in the slow cooker.

4. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through. Stir the cilantro into the sauce. Commit to your dream — the more improbable the better — and you’ll never have to play Survivor again.

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)…Focused creativity is your salvation this month. Relationship issues?

Pull your attention away from trying to dominate or feeling dominated and put it into a worthy project.

Money concerns? Frame a coherent question and then concentrate on work or art that gets you out of your monkey mind and into the zone. The answers will come without you having to search for them.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)…What if you knew your ultimate purpose for being here — and you were able to see through all of the mental roadblocks you’ve placed between yourself and your path? This could happen, and by the end of the month. To pull off this life-changing bit of magic, focus on two things: doing more of what feels good and acknowledging how much you hold back for fear of repeating a parent’s perceived shame or “failure.”

Arkansas tour to explore ghostly spaces, crystal mines On October 15-19, local psychic, medium, healer, teacher and lecturer Carol Lowell will lead a bus tour to Arkansas — specifically the haunted sites in Eureka Springs and the crystal mines in Hot Springs — allowing participants to experience an adventure and therapeutic spa getaway.

How does inner peace influence your personal presence in the world?

I hold inner peace as a goal every day, but my gosh darn, humanity can get in the way of achieving it! I think the most any one of us can do is be aware that there is a peaceful consciousness within that can serve us better in our lives, and then develop a habit of redirecting thoughts, feelings and actions toward that consciousness. We all have habits, so why not develop the good ones?

To me, it’s the experience of self that feels most like home — the space inside that knows you are enough, just as you are. There is no striving to become something you aren’t, no abdication of self to please another, and no harsh judgment of self and others.

When I started dreaming of a peaceful world, I distilled the idea until I couldn’t distill it anymore.

What it came down to is…me… and also you. We might be able to see a world “out there” without fighting for a period of time, but I don’t think we can enjoy a true peace without each of us choosing differently, moment to moment, in our lives. We can scoff at that and wait for the “other” to make that choice before we “waste our time” or we can make choices that shift how we are in the world, and watch how it shifts the world around us.

What is a simple tool people can use to embody themselves?

Every day we make decisions from unconscious and unexamined beliefs. Why is it so important to be authentic in our bodies?

Being embodied connects us with the wisdom that we hold, with our intuition, and with our cellular wisdom in our bones and our souls. When we’re able to connect, we can make decisions that guide us along our life in a more authentic way, in a way that is closer to living out the purpose we desire for ourselves.

One simple tool for embodying ourselves is to take a moment to simply notice what you’re feeling in your body. Stop trying to change the experience you’re having in your body and simply notice what sensations are arising.

Notice those sensations to see fully where they are, how strong they are in your body, what they feel like; if resistance arises, that’s okay. Then take a moment to offer compassion to yourself.

One of my favorite phrases from a Buddhist meditation is to say to myself, “My darling, I am here for you.” Direct that compassion towards yourself or whatever experience you may be having in the moment. It’s this kind of moment-to-moment engagement with ourselves that leads to embodiment.

What tool(s) do you recommend for people to access their own “presence”?

One of the most important questions my oldest son ever asked was this: “Mommy, how do you know who you are?” Actually, he already had the sense of self or presence; he simply needed permission to become it.

We are instinctively conscious.

We deeply know we are more than our mirror image. We dream of greatness and purpose because we are divine, and yes, ice cream and vacations, because we are human. We dream of our “presence.”

How do we access our inner presence, our divine spark clothed in our humanity? First, we believe in its existence. This isn’t so easy for those of us raised to ignore ourselves, and so we take a leap of faith. We decide — and then we celebrate this acknowledgement.

We yell it from the rooftop — or if we’re shy, inscribe our feelings on the scroll that is our heart. Next, we engage our intuition. Intuition is an odd thing. Sometimes it acts like an early warning system, sometimes like a GPS, giving direction. Always, it’s our vehicle for guidance and inspiration.

Finally, we express our divine presence. We dance, think, sleep and paint the self we are onto the world’s landscape. We live. That’s what we’re here to do, after all.

Why are sacred practices important for maintaining presence in your life?

Presence happens in the moments we unite with the divine, when we step away from the noise, distractions, chaos and doings of our everyday life.

Presence is in the inhale, the pause, the moments when we surrender, open, and receive.

When our life is busy and filled with activity we are not available to spirit or our inner sources of wisdom. Our busyness distracts us from the ever flowing insights and inspiration that surrounds us in every moment of every day.

It creates a sense of separation and aloneness.

A sacred practice calls us back into our center. It invites our spirit to pause, to listen, to open, and to receive. This practice could be as simple as pulling an oracle card, planting our feet upon the earth, breathing, re-arranging an altar, burning incense, or even just noticing the birds chattering outside your window.

A sacred practice takes us out of the linear and logical reality of our world and into the world of the mythic where all things are possible.

It is from this world that we become co-creators with the divine and step into full presence with the infinite possibilities and everyday magic of our lives.

What is an easy method people can use to find joy?

When we talk about “finding joy,” we are really talking about remembering, and allowing, one of our most natural human experiences.

One of my favorite methods to consciously remember and allow joy is a daily morning practice consisting of three simple, powerful practices, which I call “The Breakfast of Champions”: Step One: Breathe! As soon as you wake up, take three to five deep breaths, giving each breath your entire focus. This is one of the fundamental practices of joyful people, and the more you practice it, the easier it gets.

Step Two: Count Your Blessings! Let these be the first three that come to you, and focus on your gratitude for each of these blessings. This helps to make us aware of our blessings, throughout the day. Grateful folks are joyful folks!

Step Three: Name three of your gifts — three ways that you shine.

When I am working with kids, we call these our “super powers.”

This isn’t boasting. Being aware of our gifts makes it easier for us to share them. A surefire recipe for joy! What are your super powers?

I invite you to make this a part of your everyday practice. It’s simple to learn, easy to remember and fun to use. And it really works.

There is no wrong way to practice this method.

How can courage bring forth your own inner presence?

The day I got brave and told the truth — knees knocking, voice quivering, angels dancing — everything changed. As a writer, speaker and broadcaster, I’d spent years sharing authentic stories about my life — from magical moments to massive sinkholes. But people who complimented me for being brave and open didn’t know I had a secret. I’d always loved celebrating other people’s spiritual gifts, but I was terrified to reveal the extent of my own intuition.

Only close friends and family knew I could chat with angels and spirits or vividly see people’s life paths.

I was especially worried during the decade I worked in corporate America, certain that coming clean would make me sound crazy and undermine my credibility.

But holding a secret like that is exhausting. Fear was keeping me from living fully, feeling free and serving others in the ways I was made for. Nelson Mandela said that courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. I was scared, but I had to move forward anyway. When I took that leap into my truth, the proverbial net appeared. I could finally be fully present for my own life.

How do we access the flow of creation?

Most of us have probably experienced flow at some time, the feeling when everything just flows out effortlessly and most often as a part of a creative process. It’s not a battle, or challenge to produce from this state, but most often it appears out of nowhere and we don’t really know where it came from and cannot reproduce it at will. There are, however, ways to increase the flow in our lives that will affect all that we do. The flow is there, if we want it, but we tend to do things to limit it, without knowing that is what we do.

Sometimes, that’s because we are not used to the intensity, and it can make us feel uneasy.

Fears, worry and control make us try to bend the reality to our wishes, instead of letting ourselves go where our lives take us. Fear of going with life makes us resist it, so resistance is another way to block it. Fears from old hurts, which cause us to put our shields up, also block it — or we live in a dominator or victim role. Fear in all forms will block the flow. It’s not really about accessing the flow, but to stop resisting Life.

Pineal Toning & DNA Repatterning An Edge Interview with Dr. Todd on remembering

For over a decade, Dr. Todd has been developing what he calls the Pineal Tone™ series inspired by a deep inner knowing, a remembering of an ancient time in an ancient land.

In 2001, Dr. Todd began the process of remembering an ancient and sacred practice of toning that activated the pineal gland and created profoundly expansive experiences. He intuitively knew the power of the tones and their intrinsic benefit and impact on life extension, enhanced well being and increased health. Dr. Todd spoke with The Edge about his work with Pineal Toning and his upcoming events in the Twin Cities.

Please share with our Edge community the inspiration and the remembrance that you talk about in the brochure for this event?

Dr. Todd: That is a really good question,

because the remembrance did not happen

all at once. It came in pieces and stages. It began really with an idea, and that idea planted the seed and the seed sprouted and now it has become a tree and it branches out different types of fruit.

DR. TODD The essence of it has to do with the work of Lee Carroll and Kryon.

In terms of esoteric information that Lee Carroll is offering by being the vessel, I find it incredible — scientifically when he makes predictions and later when we see the validations, and also how he resonates at a deep level of truth.

The hinge point, or where all this attention and remembrance began with the tones, occurred at a time that you might recall as the Harmonic Concordance.

Wasn’t that in 2003: Dr. Todd: I believe so, yes. And, roughly an

11/11 date, as well. So, we sponsored a gathering in San Diego. Lee Carroll shared a profound parable that had to do with someone waking up one day, opening his front door and being shocked to see a massive block of granite on his front lawn.

Needless to say, that would be a little bit startling for anybody. There was no machine big enough to carry it away. Finally he had an inspiration, which was to hire a sculptor — and then the sculptor created the most magnificent works of art the world had ever seen.

The interpretation of that story is that the block of granite was likened to our DNA. Everything that we need for enlightenment, for mastery, for expressing the eternal beauty within, is already present, yet our access to it is blocked and it needs to be revealed.

The metaphor of the sculptor is a metaphor of chipping away that which blocks the expression of the deeper abilities, remembrance and awareness that is already present in our DNA. And then Kyron described something that I had never heard before or since. He described our DNA as being multidimensional. Whereas science talks about the two strands of DNA physically, Kryon described it with 12 strands. I believe he is using it as a metaphor to talk about 12 dimensions of reality.

The so-called super string theory, which attempts to put all of the four fundamental

forces of nature into a single equation, holds that the mathematics works in a system that has at least 12 dimensions. So Kryon’s statements are consistent, at least, with today’s highest level of theoretical physics.

The statement was made that humanity, as a whole, functions on four dimensions of its DNA and that eight dimensions are blocked by a mechanism he described as an eighth-dimensional filter. To experience the totality of everything we are and can be, the logical step would be to remove the filter so we can have everything that is within the regions that are blocked.

Further information suggests that this is our Akashic Records, and the ability to do what is called mining the Akash. If at any point in our soul history we mastered something, then we can remember it, as opposed to having to start from scratch. Child prodigies do that. They come out when they are 3 years old and express incredible abilities to play an instrument or to create art, for example.

That information was the trigger to working with tones that have ultimately come to be called the Pineal Tones.

The process for me internally was to use inner vision or intuition to perceive that eighth-dimensional filter construct. Once there was a perception of it, the question was, how do we remove that filter from blocking the treasures residing in the DNA? Spontaneously, or intuitively, I began to make tones, and as I created tones in certain ways, much as an opera singer may create a particular note and cause a crystal wine glass to shatter, I was seeing energy building up in the filter structure. At a certain point, there was so much energy that part of the filter transformed into energy.

At one point the filter was blocking the expression, and then at a certain point of energy there was a transmutative process where the filter itself provided the energy to activate the strands.

So it became the vehicle then, instead of the block.

Dr. Todd: That is correct.

Like the sculptor.

Dr. Todd: Exactly! Aptly put. Very good

insight. When that first pattern came through, it was a Saturday afternoon in my office. I had the luxury to meditate for a number of hours, and it came through piece by piece. That first level, that first pattern, had this very strong intention or remembrance that came with it, which was an affirmation that as a being I am eternally pure and perfect, and anything that occurs other than perfection is merely the illusion

How do you translate this into the 2-day event that people can take part in in October? What can people expect?

Dr. Todd: There will be the training, performing

just that first part. And, when one level integrated, then spontaneously and bit by bit I received the next. I finally got to the eighth level — and it took about three years for that.

We decided only one week before the event to host an experience in Moscow and allow people to experience the first level of tones. We had 200 people gathered in a room, and very intensely we did the tones one after another as they had never been done before. Usually it took two days to do the whole process.

That was the first time Kryon stated what we were doing, that what I was sharing was recalled from my soul records and I was sharing it exactly as I had done it tens of thousands of years ago.

and experience — now at 28 levels and counting, and by then we may be releasing the next level.

Level 29 is called the Song of the Strands, and it has a similarity to the pattern of tones in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind — that particular set of five tones. It is like that, but longer, a pattern of 12 tones. The notion is creating the pattern that deepens the connection between the consciousness realms and the galaxy.

This is in preparation for the next choir, which may be the most profound to date, which will be in the Outback of Australia in March 2015.

So at the local workshop, the training will give people the 28, and possibly 29, levels, so they will have the experience of them directly. They will get instruction in how to perform them, and there will be a training recording that people will get. There will be enough time not just to do them individually, but also to do some of the pairs together, which creates an even more profound level. a

But how is the rewiring to be done? First, it is important to recognize that the family and community into which you were born had certain assumptions that they passed along to you. They meant well, no doubt, and did it out of love, but some of this programming probably no longer serves you.

To find the truth of your own soul, as opposed to the “truth” of your tribe, it is helpful to employ certain tools that eliminate the “noise” around you so that the still, small voice within can be heard.

Learning to use a grounding cord to siphon off discordant thoughts and emotions is one good first step. Being able to locate a distinct area in the center of the head where old programming can be removed through intention is another. Once you experience the clarity that comes with cleansing yourself of other people’s energy, you can connect to your Higher Self, which is intimately connected with Source.

Psychic abilities are the flowers that bloom when the roots of our inner spiritual natures are nourished through connection with Source.

Once clear, you can develop your psychic potential through intentional practice. Here is a simple exercise for beginners to enhance clairvoyant abilities using memory, imagination and focus. Find a photograph of a rose or, better yet, a real rose, and hold it in front of you. You can use something besides a rose, but the vibratory signature of a rose is very high, so I am suggesting it as a way to elevate your frequency for this exercise. Study the photo that you are safe and it is OK to look in further, or take a safe journey through a timeline or past-life.

When working with the Stellar Skulls, you may get a rush of energy and feel a spinning sensation, or a wave of energy, even though you are not in the meditation at that moment. It’s very common, and part of the opening. You may want to journal the sensations and feelings, as well as the visions you get. Most likely you will have some very interesting dreams, as the Stellar Skulls may want to show you more. Journal, and more will be revealed. If you ask a certain question, and do not get a picture right away, you may get a body rush.

This will let you know you are on track.

Your own special psychic abilities may come to you by hearing, seeing or feeling, or a combination, since everyone is unique. Eventually, as you work on these skills, and ask for assistance, you will indeed open more and more. Many people are able to “hear” the Crystalline Stellar Skulls, since they do talk. They have a lot to say and truly want to assist you!

For example, you may want to know a dynamic that is still unresolved with a family member — living or not! You can ask to see this, and where the conflict originated from, for better understanding, clearing and forgiveness. Sit and tone while breathing deeply. Sound will clear and balance you, and the skulls love it! Just state their name and invite them right into your heart.

As you gain confidence that you can “see” without looking, you will be able to magnify this ability and others. In addition to clairvoyance, we are capable of hearing, sensing, tasting, smelling and knowing in expanded ways, with each individual experiencing a unique blend of deepened perception. As you open your consciousness to greater realities, deeper joy and fulfillment will naturally flow. The only prerequisites are an open mind, an open heart and an ability to stay focused.

However, the question to be asked is not just “How can I improve my psychic abilities?” but rather, “How can I utilize these expanded ways of knowing to improve my own life and the lives of others?” By themselves, psychic abilities are neutral. People often ask me if everyone is psychic. My answer is yes. The word psychic means soul. It is your body’s ability to bring in and work with your soul energy.

Each one of us has a body and a soul. We each also have a chakra system and an energy field (aura). These are your basic components for being psychic. With these basic parts, each one of us has an innate ability to bring in more soul information.

Our culture teaches us to hate our bodies.

We are taught they are shameful, sinful and never good enough. It’s no wonder we live so much of our lives outside of our bodies, out of touch with who we really are.

Your soul chose your body to work with in this lifetime. Your body is designed and fine-tuned to run your unique soul vibration.

Your body is a good and honest body. It does not lie. It lets you know when something is wrong. It is an instrument that tells you what you resonate to and what is true for you. As you become more able to tune into that feeling of resonance, you have the basic tool for processing other energies and determining whether they match your truth or not.

The first step in bringing in more of your own soul information is to love and care for your body. Bodies naturally carry fear, because they know they can get sick and hurt and will eventually die. They measure everything in terms of safety and survival. It is important to honor the body’s need to feel safe and grounded. Grounding connects a body to the earth. When a body is grounded, it can receive even more of its own soul energy. Healthy structure and routine in meeting its basic needs help to ground a body. The more we take care of our bodies — and they learn to trust that we won’t neglect them or abuse them — the more soul energy

and the one thing the speaker said that left such a lasting impression on me was, “Know Thyself.” That prompted me to take up the study of numerology, and my 30 years of working with numerology helped me to discover that I was psychic. Self-awareness led me to my intuition. You can know yourself, too.

Studying numerology is one of the easiest way to learn self-awareness. Another way is to spend time alone. When you are alone, you are who you are — and if you don’t like your own company, how do you expect others to? Remember that it’s difficult to see the picture when you are inside the frame.

Self-awareness allows you to discover whether you are empathic, clairvoyant or clairaudient — or if one of your natural-born gifts is to be psychic.

Psychic messages can come from your dreams. If you are someone who has a lot of prophetic dreams, keep a dream journal and you will be delighted to see your gifts blossom and how you can help our world.

The more you practice, the easier it will be to learn to trust yourself. Start by doing readings for friends, family or acquaintances.

I recommend practicing for a year, for about an hour a day, and that will give you a great start in making a living with your psychic gifts. Once you have done your schooling, then you will be ready. Bodies learn by doing. Repetition is needed. You can’t learn to ride a bike by reading a book. You can get some good information that way, but what is truly required is getting on the bike and practicing. Work with your body to help it feel safe and valued.

Make it a part of your daily practice.

For a soul, survival is not an issue. Death does not frighten a soul. Safety is not a concern. A soul’s desire is to learn, create and experience. You are a unique combination of body and soul — like no other on this planet. The challenge is balancing the needs of both.

We cannot dictate to our bodies what they need. We cannot make them want something they don’t. It’s the same with souls. We cannot tell them to be satisfied with a direction, just because it is the safe way to go. We need to listen to what feels right for our bodies and listen to how our souls are guiding us. Do we jump off a cliff because our soul wants to experience freefalling? No, but if the urge is strong, maybe we go skydiving and make sure all the equipment to keep the body safe is provided. Then, we can have the experience while honoring both body and soul.

The good news is that your body is wired to run your soul energy. It is as natural to your body as breathing. With proper care, your body can expand its capacity to bring in even more of its soul energy to create the life of your dreams.

Love and care for your body. Teach it that it can count on you to make good decisions for it. It will then serve you well in bringing in your soul’s guidance and light.

USING YOUR INTUITIVE GIFTS IN YOUR DAILY LIFE

Increasing your psychic abilities is about improving your “tool box” of gifts. Of course, I have always said that attending a good psychic development class should be the first thing one should do to open up and learn about the psychic process and to experience the many facets of the craft.

Yes, practicing your intuitive skills, meditation, following a good diet and believing in your abilities is essential to hone your skills, but after that development stage, what you do with your gifts is where the real enhancing starts.

So, how can you best use your abilities in your everyday existence?

Through many years of teaching psychic development classes, I find that a majority of my students are teachers, health care workers and police officers. Their professions demand that they experience intense and personal encounters with their fellow human beings every day.

Each uses their skills to better provide assistance and excel in their fields.

Those in the health care industry often have encounters within the Spirit and ghost realms.

Students have revealed how, after walking into the rooms of patients to witness the sick or dying, they are surrounded by (angelic) lights or human forms of those who want to help heal or are waiting to escort a patient back home to the Other Side. Meanwhile, family and friends surrounding the patient usually are totally unaware of the Spirit presence. My students utilize their psychic abilities to help the sick and their families by receiving the perfect words of comfort and support from Spirit. They also “tap”

into their patient’s body and offer a diagnosis that may be difficult for doctors to determine.

I have taught police officers and TSA employees, all of whom use their abilities to help identify possibly troubled people or potential threats. Every time they “listen” to their intuition or psychic information, they are able to act more quickly and effectively in responding to situations — saving lives in the process. They all tell me that they have become the best “lie detectors” among their peers!

The teachers among my students are some of my favorites. Almost all of them work with children of special needs. They are surrounded by intense and often far-reaching energy all day long. These teachers use their psychic gifts to “read and feel” what their students need. This is especially powerful when their students are unable to communicate through normal body language or voice inflections. Students benefit from the ability of teachers to help them navigate and excel in the world. These teachers are truly healers.
