I SAW THE LIGHT 15 Stars Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford Director Marc Abraham Hank Williams, in his short life, created a body of work that will forever infuence and inform country and western music. An ideal subject for a music bio-pic, Hank is played, convincingly and with great panache by Tom Hiddleston. Williams suffered from chronic back pain for most of his life resulting in a dependence on pills and alcohol that wrecked his marriage and marred his career. I Saw The Light is a faithful recreation of his stellar but ultimately tragic life.
