BRAND GUIDELINES 2023
FILE FORMATS AND WAYS TO USE THEM:
The Adobe Illustrator file will render your logo in a high degree of detail. This is the program where your logo was created and saves artwork as a vector image, meaning it has unlimited scalability and will not become pixelated. AI files are commonly used for billboards and other large format prints.
One of the most common among professional printers, an EPS file is another vector file format for generating your logo at any size without diminishing the quality. These are typically used to produce vast, detailed images — such as advertising, large posters, and other crisp marketing collateral.
This versatile file format is common for viewing vector images at a high quality and is compatible with more browsers, software and apps. Unlike AI or EPS files, you cannot edit the artwork in a PDF file format.
A JPG (or JPEG) is one of the most common file formats and can be used on websites, social media or typical photography displays. They are compatible with most browsers, software and apps. Their small file size makes them convenient for storage and easy for everyday use but should not be used for large formats.
JPG files will begin to pixelate at 4” and lose quality the larger they get, so make sure to utalize vector formats, like AI or EPS, for large format printing.
This is common web or digital file format that features a transparent background, so if the logo is placed over an image you will not see a white box surrounding your logo. PNG’s are raster and will lose quality at larger scales and should not be used on large format prints. Like the JPG, these will lose legibility and begin to pixelate at 4” or larger. You can open a PNG using any image editing software and they should be used for websites and small prints where a transparent background is needed.
Minimum Clear Space
To ensure visibility and impact, there should always be space around your logo.
Minimum Usage Size
Make sure your logo is always big enough to be legible and clear.
Color Options
The logo files labeled “white” are intended to reverse the logo over different brand colors, dark backgrounds or images.
The logo files labeled “black” are intended go over light backgrounds, when a solid color logo is needed or in black and white documents.
