Armor Defined A covering worn to protect the body from weapons and a defense against the enemy.

Ephesians 6: 11-13 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. A Warning This is a warning in the writing of Paul that we need a defense against the devil Wiles are the devilâ€™s tricks and deceit he uses against us The devil comes to us in different ways such as a serpent for deceit, a lion to devour us, a wolf to tear us from God and a dragon to totally destroy us ÂŠ2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Our Enemy Is a Spirit Principality: One with great power, rulership and authority Powers: Ability to control others, sway or influence Rulers of darkness: One who rules or governs the evil of this world Spiritual wickedness in high places: Evil that controls your mind, body and soul

The Full Armor of God We are only protected with the full armor of God because it helps us to withstand in the evil days that comes upon us (Ecclesiastes 12: 1) Evil days can come any time in our lives; if we keep the full armor of God on we can withstand against the wiles of the devil What is the armor that we must wear? Loins Girded with Truth Your loins must be girded with the truth, which is like a belt around your waist During ancient times, a soldier’s belt was wide like a girdle so that it would protect vital organs, such as the kidneys The belt of truth holds our “spiritual pants” up so that we are not vulnerable to Satan

Breastplate of Righteousness You must have the breastplate of righteousness on The breastplate covers the heart The desires of our heart determine our actions, good or bad We should not have a hard or unsure heart like Israel of old did because it led to disobedience, (Hebrews 3:7-13) ÂŠ2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Feet Shod with the Gospel of Peace Our feet should be shod with the preparation of the gospel In other words we must walk in the path of righteousness and follow after Christ As we walk Satan is like a court jester trying to lure you off the path of righteousness, (Psalm 23:2, Isaiah 52:7) ÂŠ2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Shield of Faith You must have the shield of faith which is strong belief in God that never wavers Satan will not be able to cast doubt because the shield of faith will block doubt and will stop those fiery darts that he will try and put in your mind, (1 John 5:4, Hebrews 11:1)

Helmet of Salvation The helmet of salvation protects our minds from the fiery darts of the devil A helmet can prevent or minimize injury to the brain With the helmet of salvation, our minds are surrounded by the word of God While on this earth, Satan will have access to our minds; however, the helmet of salvation can minimize how often Satan comes to us and PREVENT us from sinning (1 Thessalonians 5:8) ÂŠ2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Sword of the Spirit The sword of the Spirit which is the word of God must be sharp at all times by studying the bible, worshipping God and incorporating his word in your daily life We should meditate on the laws of God and keep his word as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, (Psalms 119: 97,105-106) ÂŠ2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. Sword of the Spirit Remember the word of God is a two edged sword Hebrews 4:12. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” ©2011 Household Of Israel Temple Of Jesus Christ. In Conclusion If we lack any of the armor of God we cannot defeat Satan and he will come to us in his many forms including the serpent, lion, wolf or dragon His goal is to deceive, devour destroy and separate us from God
