THE SOWER & THE SEED
You have learned that Christ is like a Sower that plants His seeds, which is the word of God, into the soil to make a beautiful garden. The saints of God as a group of people represent that special garden.
A GARDEN

Now when you think of a garden, whether it has fruits, vegetables, or owers it is usually made up of multiple kinds of plants. Not every plant is the same. Yet, each plant is healthy and beautiful to behold, provided they have the necessary ingredients to grow. These 4 ingredients include a seed, soil, sunlight, and water.
A UNIQUE PLANT

Each unique plant in the special garden, represents a child of God. What does unique mean? Being one of a kind or the only one of its type. Why is that word important? Because we are not all the same. We have different personalities. We look different from each other, with different skin colors, different facial features and hair texture. Not only that, we have different talents and abilities that make us who we are. Just like plants have speci c traits that make it a certain kind of plant.
WHAT SAINTS HAVE IN COMMON
However, what the children of God all have is common is the word of God. Each saint has a heart, which is like soil, that will receive God’s seed of truth. Now in order for the seed of truth to take root in you, you must have a good heart that is prepared to receive the word of God, just like soil must be prepared before planting seeds.
THE SPIRITUAL HEART
Now when I say heart, I am not talking about your physical heart that helps pump blood throughout your body. I am talking about your spiritual heart. This is who you are on the inside. It is the part of you that decides to do right or wrong. When the word of God is inside your spiritual heart, it will help you to decide to always do what is right.
THE LIGHT OF GOD
And just as plants need sunlight, you also need Christ. He is the light of the world. Darkness is like sin. But when God shines His spiritual light, you are able to see clearly how to follow God through obedience to His laws.

Plants also need rain. Remember that the rain represents the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit showers you with knowledge and understanding about the truth so that you can continue to grow stronger and stronger. He also gives you talents, skills and abilities that help your ourish as a saint of God. Amen.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT Due: SABBATH, JANUARY 17, 2026 GOD’S BEAUTIFUL GARDEN 1. YOU WILL DRAW A PICTURE OF A GARDEN 2. You will need two sheets of construction paper, which will be used to make a booklet. 3. On one sheet of construction paper you will write the words God’s Beautiful Garden. This will be the front of your booklet. 4. On a plain white sheet of paper draw a blue sky with a bright yellow sun. 5. Draw a garden. It could be a garden of fruit, owers or vegetables or a combination. Make sure to include soil and make it dark brown.

6. Draw a gardener watering the garden with a watering can or a hose.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT Due: SABBATH, JANUARY 17, 2026 GOD’S BEAUTIFUL GARDEN 7. This drawing will need to be pasted or stapled on the back of the construction paper that has the words “God’s Beautiful Garden.” 8. Take the sheets I provided to your parent and answer each question. Make sure your handwriting is neat and write in complete sentences. 9. These sheets will go on the construction paper that will be the back of your booklet. No need to glue these papers to your construction paper. They will be fastened once you staple your booklet together. 10.You may need to ask your parent to help you staple the left sides of the the construction paper together to make a booklet. 11. You will be asked 2 of the questions when you present your artwork on Sabbath.
