A BIBLE LESSON ABOUT SALVATION

THE MASTER PLAN A blueprint. A rescue. A lasting connection. Discover the Father’s plan and the Son’s role— then explain it in your own words.

BIG QUESTION: How does the plan fit together?

THE MASTER PLAN / 01

YOUR MISSION

Follow the plan

THE BLUEPRINT

THE RESCUE

THE CONNECTION

God the Father plans.

Jesus carries out the plan.

Jesus speaks up for us.

THE MASTER PLAN / 02

01 / THE BLUEPRINT

Known before the beginning God the Father knew and loved you before you were born—even before the universe existed. FOREKNEW = knew beforehand.

Think: What does it feel like to be known?

THE MASTER PLAN / 03

01 / THE BLUEPRINT

A plan made ahead of time Like a master architect, the Father made a blueprint for salvation before the world began. PREDESTINATION = deciding ahead of time that His children would belong to His family and be saved.

The Father is the Architect in this analogy.

THE MASTER PLAN / 04

01 / THE BLUEPRINT

Loved first The lesson describes the Lamb’s Book of Life as a special book in heaven containing the names of God’s children.

Christ the Son created us. We learn to love by seeing His love for us.

God’s love comes first.

THE MASTER PLAN / 05

READ & REFLECT

Love came first

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

TALK: How could being loved help you show love to someone else?

THE MASTER PLAN / 06

READ TOGETHER

The Lamb’s Book of Life “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Revelation 13:8 CONNECT: How does this verse connect with a plan made before the world began? THE MASTER PLAN / 07

02 / THE PROBLEM

What went wrong? God made a perfect world. Satan tricked Adam and Eve into disobeying God. Sin entered the world. SIN means breaking God’s commandments.

Sin is disobedience—not just an accident.

THE MASTER PLAN / 08

02 / THE PROBLEM

Temptation is the pressure to disobey The lesson says Satan still tries to trick us into disobeying God. That is temptation. Everyone has sinned—even the saints. The lesson warns that unforsaken sin brings punishment in the lake of fire at the end of time.

DISCUSS: What could help you resist temptation?

THE MASTER PLAN / 09

READ & CONNECT

What does the Bible say about sin? “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23

THE MASTER PLAN / 10

03 / THE RESCUE

Jesus carried out the plan The Father sent His Son, Jesus, to carry out the rescue plan. If the Father is the Architect, Jesus is the Master Carpenter who builds what was planned.

CARPENTER = a builder who works with wood.

THE MASTER PLAN / 11

03 / THE RESCUE

The cross: a rescue bridge Jesus came to earth in human flesh. The lesson teaches that His blood has divine power. He died on the cross. His sacrifice washes away sin and brings us back into connection with God.

The bridge is an analogy for Jesus’ rescue.

THE MASTER PLAN / 12

04 / THE CONNECTION

Someone who speaks up for us INTERCESSOR = someone who speaks on another person’s behalf. Like a defense lawyer or peacemaker, Jesus stands between us and the Father—speaking up for us, protecting us, and keeping us connected.

When you make a mistake, you are not alone.

THE MASTER PLAN / 13

TRY IT TOGETHER

The Blueprint & Bridge challenge 1 DRAW a blueprint labeled “The Father’s plan.” 2 DRAW a gap labeled “Sin.” Add a bridge labeled “Jesus’ sacrifice.” 3 ADD “Intercessor” beside the bridge. Explain how Jesus speaks up for us.

Work with a partner. Use all four key terms as you explain your drawing. THE MASTER PLAN / 14

WRITING ASSIGNMENT

Your turn: explain the Master Plan Write a short essay of EXACTLY THREE PARAGRAPHS. Imagine explaining the lesson to a friend your age who has never heard these ideas. Use your notes, the scriptures, and your Blueprint & Bridge drawing.

USE: foreknew • predestination • carpenter • intercessor

THE MASTER PLAN / 15

ESSAY PLANNER

Three paragraphs. One connected story. 1 / THE BLUEPRINT

2 / THE CONSTRUCTION

3 / THE CONNECTION

Explain foreknew and predestination. Describe the Father as the Architect.

Explain sin and how Jesus, the Master Carpenter, built the rescue bridge through His sacrifice.

Define intercessor. Explain how Jesus speaks up for us and what this means when you make mistakes.

THE MASTER PLAN / 16

BEFORE YOU TURN IT IN

Master Plan checklist □ I wrote exactly three paragraphs. □ I used all four key terms correctly. □ I explained the Architect / Carpenter analogy.

□ I connected sin, the cross, and Jesus’ role as intercessor. □ I explained what this means in my own life. □ I checked my sentences, spelling, and punctuation. REMEMBER: Explain the ideas in your own words—not just the definitions. THE MASTER PLAN / 17
