The blueprint of salvation God the Father planned a rescue. He loved His children before we were born. He would send His Son to save us from sin. Christ’s blood has power to wash away sins.

02 • BETHLEHEM
From heaven to Bethlehem Christ came to earth as a human baby. The Holy Spirit caused Mary to conceive. He was born in Bethlehem. Mary and Joseph were His earthly parents.

What is ministry? Helping, serving, caring, and teaching for the purpose of serving the Lord.

03 • MINISTRY: TEACH
He preached the Gospel Christ taught the word of God. Repent: turn away from sin. Obey God’s commandments. Follow the way that leads to eternal life.

He cared for the sick His miracles showed deep love. He helped people walk, see, and hear. He even raised people from the dead. His care showed mercy and compassion.

He fed the hungry A little food became enough for a crowd. Christ fed many with bread and fish. He noticed what people needed. We can share and care for others, too.

He showed humility The King of kings chose to serve. Christ washed His apostles’ feet. Humility means not acting above others. Love serves, even in small ways.

04 • SACRIFICE
The greatest act of love Christ chose to obey His Father. He experienced fear and deep sadness. He showed courage through obedience. He willingly laid down His life for us.

He was treated unfairly People lied about Him and mocked Him. False witnesses told lies. He was hurt and treated cruelly. Someone helped carry His cross.

05 • MERCY
Love, even on the cross Christ prayed for His enemies. He suffered and died on the cross. He showed mercy instead of hatred. His example teaches us to forgive.

06 • OUR RESCUE
Why did He do it? So our sins could be washed away. His sacrifice shows how much He loves us. We can repent and turn away from sin. We can seek eternal life in God’s kingdom.

Love becomes action We show our love through obedience. Love God
Love your neighbor
Pray. Keep His commandments.

The Shield of Obedience Design a reminder to love through action. You need white paper and a pencil. Bring crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Make it fit your folder’s front pocket.

ACTIVITY • DESIGN YOUR SHIELD
Two sides. One loving heart. 1 Draw a large shield. 2 Write the Royal Law at the top. 3 Divide the shield into two halves.
4 Add two examples on each side, one for divine love & one for brotherly love. 5 Color it with bright, bold colors.
