Our vision is to make the world honestly sustainable through sheep wool. We consider it our duty to strengthen people’s environmental consciousness and to show that all of us bear responsibility for nature, human health and the conscious use of sustainable raw materials. The key to this lies in the creative development of the sheep wool and the ways in which it can be used. We produce innovative, high quality products which fulfill an important function, are sustainable and protect our environment.
Thanks to its properties, sheep wool is the only naturallyoccurring insulation material which retains heat and also protects against heat, cold and damp. Sheep wool is a tried and tested material that has proven itself over thousands of years. It is the only insulation material whose producers – the sheep – continuously test its fitness for purpose in the most extreme climatic conditions. The wool has to fulfill its role of protecting the sheep in every imaginable weather situation.
The peculiarity of sheep wool raw fibers is reflected in the endproduct, a material with unique physical properties. At ISOLENA we have over 50 years of experience with sheep wool through our in-house carpet weaving mill. We therefore understand better than anyone else how to turn this uniqueness into a range of products which perfectly meet the requirements of modern construction.

The natural product sheep’s wool is a renewable raw material that is 100% reusable and recyclable. At the end of its life cycle, ISOLENA sheep’s wool insulation can be completely returned to the ecological cycle, unmixed and free of impurities.
CO 2 SAVINGS POTENTIAL
As a regional insulation manufacturer, ISOLENA achieves an excellent ecological balance, as evidenced by the Natureplus ® and EPD certificates. Compared to conventional insulation materials such as mineral or rock wool, up to 73% CO 2 emissions can be saved according to the LCA.

PURIFICATION OF THE ROOM AIR
Sheep’s wool is characterized by its low emission load and is able to purify the air in a room of many odours and pollutants, such as formaldehyde, which leads to a healthier indoor climate.
A HEALTHY INDOOR CLIMATE TO FEEL GOOD
Sheep’s wool naturally regulates room humidity and can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without losing any of its insulating properties. When the environment is dry, it releases the absorbed moisture in a controlled manner.

SAFE FIRE PERFORMANCE
ISOLENA sheep’s wool insulation is the only renewable raw material to achieve a fire classification of C or D according to EN 13501-1, depending on the product. With a self-ignition temperature of 560 to 600 °C, the natural wool fiber exceeds a value twice as high as wood (270 °C).
IONIC PROTECT ® – THE BIOCIDE-FREE WOOL PROTECTOR

The secret behind this excellent ability is keratin, the protein building block which makes up sheep wool. The molecules in the side branches of the amino acids are able to absorb and neutralize harmful substances such as formaldehyde. Damp walls are an irritant to health and decrease your sense of well-being. ISOLENA can absorb a third of its own weight in moisture, without losing any of its insulation properties.
HUMIDITY REGULATION
ISOLENA has a hygroscopic action, which means that it adapts very quickly to the humidity of the room and absorbs moisture when the humidity is higher than the compensatory moisture in the wool. If the air in the room is too dry, the moisture is released again.
THE HYDROPHOBIC EFFECT LASTS A LIFETIME
Sheep wool can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture, without compromising its insulation properties and without becoming “wet”. It remains full and has no negative impact on the structure. This is down to the unique structure of the protein fiber they are water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A property which is a great advantage for critical installation situations, such as when greater amounts of condensation form. And sheep wool offers yet another advantage: as a protein fiber, it does not create any breeding ground for molds Sheep wool therefore is protected against molds by its very nature.

Due to the different fiber fineness, sheep wool has very good sound absorption properties for many acoustic situations with higher demands.
PROTECTION The natural fiber of sheep’s wool has a self-ignition temperature of 560 – 600 °C. This is about twice as high as wood (270° C). It melts away from any heat source without dripping.

ISOLENA sheep wool insulation is delivered ready-made to size and is easy to process. The rolls are easy to carry and no dust mask or protective clothing is required.
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
Cutting can be done manually without tools. Insert the insulation rolls from bottom to top and fix the sheep’s wool to the rafters by stapling it on the sides.
Variant with installation aid WoolFix: Mount the WoolFix installation aid on the wall, then evenly roll the insulation from bottom to top over the WoolFix The fibers of the insulation material hook into the needles of the installation aid, ensuring a stable, slip-resistant attachment.
DURABLE WOOL PROTECTION.
Treating the wool fibres with a plasma-ion treatment protects them from all negative external factors that could arise in the building. Moths and insects have no chance. In addition, our products can be stored indefinitely due to the wool protection.
WNO FIBER CONTAMINATION.
Sheep wool provides the necessary security. Due to the spinning technology, ISOLENA products contain sheep wool fibers with a minimum length of approx. 20 mm. Since the fleece rolls are cut at the side edges for assembly, it is possible that shorter fibers occur and that these come loose during assembly activities. When installed, no more fibers come out and thus, fiber contamination of the room air can be ruled out.

De par ses propriétés, la laine de mouton est le seul isolant d‘origine naturelle qui conserve la chaleur et protège également contre la chaleur, le froid et l‘humidité. La laine de mouton est mise à l‘épreuve et porte ses fruits depuis des milliers d‘années. C‘est le seul isolant dont l‘aptitude est constamment testée dans les conditions climatiques les plus extrêmes par le générateur (le mouton). Elle conserve son épaisseur, sans exercer une influence néfaste sur la structure du bâtiment. Et ce grâce à la structure unique de la fibre protéique elle est résistante à l‘eau, donc hydrophobe. Une propriété très bénéfique pour les situations d‘installation critiques, par exemple en présence d’une forte condensation. La laine de mouton offre un autre avantage: en tant que fibre protéique, elle constitue un terrain hostile pour les moisissures. Par conséquent, la laine de mouton est naturellement protégée contre les moisissures.

Grâce à l’utilisation systématique de 100% de laine de vierge de mouton, à la technologie de traitement spéciale ISOLENA et à la protection innovante de la laine, sans biocides IONIC PROTECT ® ISOLENA a obtenu la classification de résistance au feu D selon EN 13501-1.
CLASSIFICATION DE RÉSISTANCE AU FEU
Classement de la réaction au feu d‘un des éléments de plafond acoustiques:

Conformément à la norme Önorm EN 13501-1, le produit de construction décrit est classé B s1, d0 en termes de réaction au feu. ISOLENA fait systématiquement l‘objet de tests approfondis par les organismes accrédités.
EXCELLENTE ISOLATION ACOUTIQUE.
La laine de mouton possède de très bonnes propriétés d‘absorption acoustique pour beaucoup de situations acoustiques nécessitant des exigences élevées. Equipez les plafonds acoustiques avec le rembourrage acoustique spécial ISOLENA ou simplement avec le feutre de laine de mouton ISOLENA afin que vous puissiez mener vos entretiens importants en toute tranquillité et en restant concentré. MEILLEURE PROTECTION CONTRE LE FEU.
La fibre naturelle de la laine de mouton a une température d‘auto inflammation comprise entre 560 – 600° C. Celle-ci est donc environ deux fois plus élevée que celle du bois (270° C). La laine de mouton fond entièrement depuis une source de chaleur possible, sans couler.
