CERTIFIED Legal Teak Wood- Sustainably Harvested
Company Values
All of our products are made from CERTIFIED 100% solid plantation harvested teakwood. Teak wood has been used for hundreds of years for environments exposed to water and humidity. The Dutch established plantations in Indonesia to grow and harvest teak wood for use in their boats hundreds of years ago. These same plantations are now managed and sustainably harvested by the Indonesian government. Teak wood is very dense and contains natural oils that help resist rot and mold. It is the premier wood of choice for marine, outdoor and humid, high moisture environments such as showers, saunas and spas.
DecoTeak®, Eco Decors® and CoastalVogue® products are manufactured in small workshops on the island of Java in Indonesia. These workshops use a combination of hand tools, machine tools and furniture construction techniques handed down from generation to generation. Many of our local crafts people have been making furniture, crafts and wood carvings for several generations. Since these are small workshops, we have our own quality control staff on site and further check each product in the USA prior to shipping to customers. We established our company with several simple goals and values that we operate by:
About Our Products - Assembly, Maintenance, Protection, Cleaning & Care: 1. Many of our products require assembly. All hardware, tools, instructions and assembly diagrams are provided with each product. Hardware is contained in the box in a padded pouch to prevent it from damaging the wood during shipment. If any hardware is missing, please call our toll free number, 888-965-0070 for prompt resolution.
Follow the string to find your hardware package 2. You do not need to treat or do anything to the products prior to use. Simply place in your desired location in the home, or bathroom, for an instant style boost. 3. Our products are treated with penetrating indoor / outdoor stains that give DecoTeak® EcoDecors®, and CoastalVogue® their unique appearance. 4. The stains, finishes, and protective coatings are not permanent and will fade over time depending upon use situations. Each and every product still will age uniquely based upon the unique woods used in its construction. Although we maintain color specifications, colors may vary slightly between products based upon the unique qualities of each piece of teak wood. 5. Our products are designed to be used in the shower and exposure to water will not in any way harm the wood. 6. Exposure to soaps and detergents will damage the stain over time. Please rinse off any soap or shampoos from the teak wood after each use. 7. We recommend the use of a wood cleaning product such as Loveable™ Teak Cleaner at least 1 time per week. This can be purchased at decoteak.com, and via our various online partners. The cleaner will help to remove any residual soaps and shampoos that rinsing might not have cured. 8. For longer lasting protection, we also recommend applying teak oil, such as Loveable Teak Oil™ on either a monthly or quarterly basis, as you notice the stain starting to wear. 9. It is still possible for mold to grow on the teak wood. Mold is commonly found in any environment, especially moist and humid environments such as the shower. If you notice either gray, white or black spots on the wood, you can clean with the simple recipe (right). 10. Teak wood will naturally expand and contract during its use and life. Over time surface cracks may appear which will not affect the integrity of the product.
• Leading edge designs and innovations (dozens of design patents granted to date) • Unsurpassed quality Woman Owned • Old fashioned personal customer service • Long term business relationships supporting our suppliers • Sustainable sourcing • Giving back and donating to the community We are a female owned and family operated company in Melbourne on the Space Coast of Florida. We pride ourselves on staying humble and retaining our focus on providing unsurpassed support and service to our customers. You might be shocked to find out that when customers call our 800 toll free line for support they are speaking directly to the female owner of the company, Terri Gelman. She retains this role because we believe so highly in the absolute necessity and foundation of happy satisfied customers as part of our success formula. Many of our products come with height adjustable feet. Rotate counter clockwise to extend their height. Each foot can be adjusted independently. With corner benches, if the slope of the shower is significant, an extended height foot might be required on the front leg. Please call us to request this if needed.
RECIPE FOR AN EASY MOLD CLEANING SOLUTION: Mix 1 cup of vinegar, 4 oz. bleach and 2 tablespoons of laundry detergent with 1 gallon of warm water. Clear a space to clean your furniture. Clean in a well ventilated space. Apply your cleaning mixture to the teak item using a soft brush, or cloth, and rub into the wood as you apply. Allow the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. If necessary repeat after wood has dried.

Please register your DecoTeak, Eco Decors and CoastalVogue products for warranty at decoteak.com/ warranty.html.
