Our teak oil is manufactured by a company that has made wood care products since 1876. We have worked with them to adapt their formulations especially for the needs of the USA market and our product ranges.

We pride ourselves in staying humble and retaining our focus on providing unsurpassed support and service to our customers. You might be shocked to find out that when customers call our 800 toll free line for support they are speaking directly to the female owner of the company, Terri Gelman. She retains this role because we believe so highly in the absolute necessity and foundation of happy satisfied customers as part of our success formula.

E&T Horizons has been providing high quality teak bathroom furniture for the last eight years. During this time period the most common question we received was what products to use to protect, nourish, and take care of the teak wood products. Over time, and through our own testing we came to realize that there were no products specifically designed for the needs of indoor bathroom teak products.

For teak oils we found many products did not penetrate adequately into the wood, provide a natural tint, or adequately provide a protective hydrophobic coating.

Cleaners (also often called teak “brighteners”) often contained caustic harmful chemicals, both to humans as well as the wood. Sometimes the active chemicals were actually very strong acids, that could remain in

Our teak and plastic cleaners are one of the few, if not only products designed specifically for teak care and maintenance that is EPA Safer Choice certified.

In addition, based upon extensive customer feedback we are providing all of our cleaning products in easy to use spray bottles.

Many of our customers expressed that they don’t like the industrial style of existing teak oils and cleaners. It is difficult to remove the caps, especially over time. It is messy to soak the cleaners and oil on rags, and then apply. You also have the added problem of disposing of messy chemically soaked rags. All of our Loveable™ products have been designed in line with best practices for home consumer use. Our product designs and color schemes also reflect a more consumer friendly approach rather than the more industrial look of many historical product designs in this category.

We pride ourselves on searching the world for high quality products and work with long term collaborative relationships with our suppliers. This product is supplied by our partner in the UK that, since 1876, has been providing wood cleaning products. They have a large scientific staff that has formulated this product to provide superior qualities needed for both beauty and protection of teak furniture. This product will work on all brands of teak furniture and products, and is not specific to any particular type of teak wood furniture (although it is ideal for teak shower furniture).

Use Loveable™ Teak Oil to preserve the life and beauty of your teak products, and other tropical hardwoods Ideal for indoor furniture such as teak and bamboo shower furniture. In addition our products can be used for teak outdoor furniture, teak marine decking, and just about anything made out of teak, Ipe, bamboo, acacia, eucalyptus, or other tropical hardwoods.

The specially formulated Loveable™ Teak Oil will deeply penetrate into the grains of the wood, not just stay on the surface. This allows for both protection, cleaning, and nourishing of the wood. After application the wood will be provided with a hydrophobic (water repellent) quality which helps to prolong life, as well as protect the wood from deteriorating chemicals, soaps, shampoos, dirt and food. In addition the teak oil will provide the furniture with a rich golden brown honey color that is beautiful and attractive. This coloring is from natural plant based ingredients, and not a dye, or stain. Teak oil can be used on a periodic basis to help prolong the life, and protect the beauty of your teak, ipe, acacia, eucalyptus, bamboo, and other tropical hardwood products.

Prior to using teak oil it is recommended that product be free from embedded oils, and stains, and soap scum. Regularly using a specially formulated cleaner such as Loveable™ Teak and Bamboo cleaner will help keep your teak furniture clean and prevent contaminants from soaking into the porous wood.
