Increasing college and career success for diverse college students by augmenting UBS’s virtual talent accelerator

Challenge

UBS believes that different backgrounds and perspectives will pay dividends for the company and accelerate growth while also impacting career outcomes for diverse students. While racial diversity has improved in recent years, there is still a large gap between the percentage of white and BIPOC workers in the financial services industry.1

Solution

UBS partnered with Mentor Spaces to empower mentors to engage with the Tomorrow’s Talent program2 by facilitating efficient scheduling and establishing profiles to support matchmaking. After launching a series of company learning events on the platform and hosting information sessions about the program, Mentor Spaces helped match candidates across their university and nonprofit partners based on their interests in certain roles and departments, as well as their goals for the experience.
