TELEVISION GUIDE Wednesday October 17, to Tuesday October 23, 2012 Highlights this week 1. Prime is having a mini-marathon on Saturday, beginning with Toy Story at 6.30pm and its sequel Toy Story 2 at 8.15pm, both starring the cowboy Woody and the astronaut Buzz Lightyear. The first film, which rates an amazing 100% on the Tomatometer, made the fortune of Pixar Animation Studios and its brilliant director John Lasseter. What’s his secret? ‘I believe in the nobility of entertaining people.’ 2. If you’ve ever considered them at all, you’ll know that plants are absolutely mind-blowing – especially the psychoactive ones – and who better to explore their world than the wonderful David Rabbitburrow in Kingdom Of Plants (ABC1, Sunday, 7.30pm). Flowers fluoresce and plants communicate with each other and with animals using scent and sound. ‘People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad with joy the whole time to have such things about us.’ – Iris Murdoch This North Coast NSW television guide is brought to you by the team that produce these great publications:
