TELEVISION GUIDE Wednesday February 27, to Tuesday March 5, 2013 Highlights this week 1. A critical and box office success in 2010, the clever SF movie Inception (Go! Sunday, 8.30pm) is well worth a reprise. Computer generated film-making can be an excuse to let visuals take over from plot, but playing with realities within realities the director here is justified in creating spectacular dreamscapes. Beware: the ending is not straightforward. 2. Ian Carmichael and Terry Thomas star in Lucky Jim (Gem Monday, noon), along with most of the tiny repertory of British film actors from the 50s. (Why did the same faces recur so often? Was it a closed war-service shop?) The strength of the comedy lies in Kingsley Amis’s book, and it is instructive to view the social structure of the story from the perspective of an anthropologist visiting from another planet.
