TELEVISION GUIDE Wednesday March 27, to Tuesday April 2, 2013 Highlights this week 1. The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas (Prime, Saturday, 8.30pm) is based on the novel of the same name by Irish writer John Boyne. Its exploration of the horror of a World War II Nazi extermination camp through the eyes of two 8-year-old boys – one the son of the camp’s commandant, the other a Jewish inmate – divided critics along ethical, rather than aesthetic, lines. 2. The ill-starred Australian actor Heath Ledger stars as the ill-starred Australian criminal Ned Kelly (Go!, Sunday, 8.30pm) accompanied by an all-star Australian cast in a 2003 Australian film based on Robert Drewe’s novel Our Sunshine. The legend of the bushranger in home-made armour still excites opposing views among the families involved in the history.
