By: James and Dashiell The Changemakers is a place where they talk about how we can make the world a better place and different things that are happening in the world that we really want to change. For example, they talk about LGBTQ rights, police brutality, homelessness/poverty, animal rights, and much more. The group includes Sidney, Sahana, Mila, Gali, Dashiell, Alma, Noa, and Ms. Willens. They reach out to different organizations to tell them about what they are doing. Organizations they have talked about or reached out to are Red Barn and EJI to name a couple. They are also planning on going to Gentle Barn.
SPORTS! By: Eli
This spring at Echo Horizon School, we have three different sports going on. We have the boys 4th and 5th grade volleyball, the 5th and 6th grade co-ed soccer, and the 4th-6th grade co-ed track and field. We have four brand new coaches for each of the sports. Mr. Willens will be coaching all three, Mr. Felix will be coaching soccer, Mr. Carrillo and Ms. Caldwell will be coaching track, and Mrs. Guitron will be coaching volleyball. Here are a few pictures.

Our third teacher interview is Ms. Whitelaw! Why did you choose to come to Echo Horizon School?
What do you think about Echo Horizon so far? I decided to come to Echo Horizon School because I absolutely loved the school when I toured it a few years ago and dreamed of being able to work here! A I really like Echo huge part of this was the fact that Echo Horizon has the amazing Echo Center Horizon so far! The program that I wanted to be a part of as a teacher of the deaf and hard of community of teachers hearing. I work alongside are Why did you decide to become a DHH teacher? I decided to become a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing after I wrote my senior seminar paper about deaf and hard of hearing education at my undergraduate school, Azusa Pacific University. I had always wanted to be a teacher but after learning all about this aspect of education, I really felt that this was what I was meant to do!
very kind and dedicated to what they do. They inspire me to do my best. I also love teaching and getting to know so many students here. I am grateful to teach at a place like Echo Horizon. :)
