In Mexico there is a housing deficit of 9.4 million, out of which 2.6 million have access to a credit from the mortgage market or, if they have social security, from governmental institutions such as Infonavit, Fovissste, or the Army, while 6.8 million families do not have access to adequate mechanisms to acquire a home, so they choose between self-construction or selfproduction, obtaining precarious, unsafe and deficient results. ÉCHALE is a social enterprise based in Mexico City committed to build a better life quality for and with the families. With a mission to promote holistic development for marginalized communities, we provide adequate and affordable solutions through social and financial inclusion and technological empowerment.

Our homes are designed to meet the 7 elements of adequate housing proposed by the OHCHR (Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights).

We encourage social inclusion through social workshops, technical training, participatory design, and financial literacy workshops. Through the 4 axes of the model, which are social inclusion, access to financing, adequate technology and scalability, we boost the development of each community.

ECOBLOCK PRODUCTION Our ECOBLOCKS are manufactured with a unique hydraulic machine with 100% Mexican design and patent. By taking the machine to each project we bring the industry to the community, avoiding the cost and carbon footprint of transporting the material.
