VISIONAIRE

Visionaire aims to highlight personal creative exploration with no boundaries of right or wrong. Our goal is to inspire other artists to continue their creative journey and follow passions and ideas as they arise. Visionaire will feature artworks that are categorized by themes amongst each issue. In this first edition we display art pieces in the expansive style of collage.
I’m a digital collage artist. I am always striving to grow creatively and part of my process for this is allowing intuitive artistic ideas to flow. This allows me to step outside of the objective world of good or bad design, and focus on a path of creative expression that occurs naturally and can change daily. My curiosity is what guides my artwork as I’m always thinking, “What would happen if I tried this?” To me a blank canvas has limitless potential.
I’m just trying to make cool stuff. Whether that is through shooting, editing, animation, photography or collage. I love using all types of visual assets to create pieces that are rich in texture, mixed media elements, dynamic camera work and editorial techniques. When I’m not working, you can find me looking for New York City’s best burrito or watching classic 90’s action movies.
I’m a college artist and animator. Everything hinges on what materials I have to work with, so every single project is vastly different. I quite like the chaos that working with mixed media has and it’s something I tend to embrace rather than repress. It’s trying to find that energy in order to bring something to life that lends itself to animation and that is exciting and engaging. The analog process is incredibly time consuming, but it’s the most fun to me as it has this unique texture and movement that you can’t replicate in digital. Analog is also relatively unpredictable. I don’t always know exactly what I’m going to get and that can often mean that I’m experimenting with new styles or doing something slightly different for each individual client that comes in. That’s why I love doing what I do. Collage is incredible because it has endless possibilities.
