The Star Community

Past Students, parents, the students, teachers and parishes, as well as supporters in the wider district make up the Star of the Sea College Community.

Whether local or international, the connection that is developed between all members demonstrates that anyone linked with Star take pride in their association.

Kildare Ministries encompasses the work of the Presentation Sisters and the Brigidine Sisters, and we continue to work with the students on joint projects in the areas of sustainability, national reconciliation, human trafficking and the spirituality of young people.

College tours, reunions and events are a regular occurrence and are just a few of the ways we stay in touch with our valued community.

The Star Parents’ Association ensures that the parent community is involved in their daughter’s education as much as possible. They are also responsible for organising events that bring together our parents with a common interest - their students.

Local parishes are an integral part of our community as this is where most of our Star students begin their education journey. This connection creates a smooth transition as the students cross over to the years of their secondary education.

Students and staff gather for national conferences on a bi-annual basis, sharing resources, strategies and dreams through Kildare Ministries and the Nagle Education Australia Alliance (NEAA). This wider sense of family and community is a benefit that your student will share as a Star person.
