2018 Minnesota State Simmental Association Sale Saturday, February 24, 2018 • Cannon Falls, MN The 45th Annual MN State Sale was held at the Haas Livestock Facility near Cannon Falls, MN on Saturday, Feb. 24th, 2018. The weekend events started with the annual meeting of both the Senior & Junior Associations followed by the banquet and Junior Fundraising Auction Friday night along with crowning the new MJSA Queen, Martha Moenning and Princess Madilyn Latzke.

The auction on Saturday started with 3 donation items to add in the fundraising for Junior Nationals that will be held in MN this summer. First on the list was an American Border Collie Puppy donated by breeder Lynn Schauer. This little guy was the star of the show and commanded $1100 by Troter Bauer. Next up was a Ruger 22 gun donated by Jared Keune and it was purchased

by Rockin H Simmental, the Hoffman family for $400. The 3rd item was a basket of 4 embryos donated by Ryan Hecksel of Hecksel Simmentals and that gathered up $1000 purchased

by Jeff Woodside.
