She led. So can you. Adrian, We’ve survived the election season, but the fight for collective liberation is far from over. As we close out this month, we’re reminded that no single politician will rescue or ruin us. Real change comes from community-powered movements – it starts with and is fueled by people like you. This past year has been challenging. At every turn, we’ve faced a system prioritizing profits over people. Dangerous tough-on-crime policies continue to disproportionately harm low-income communities of color, dismantling safety and opportunities. And in this latest election cycle, we’ve witnessed the support for dangerous propositions designed to imprison instead of strengthen our communities. Will you contribute today to help realize a different vision of justice and liberation? Thanks to the generosity of a community member, all gifts made now will be matched up to $50,000 – doubling your impact! Here’s the good news: Together, we have the power to create the changes we need. Our work at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights has never solely relied on the whims of politicians; our power stems from the strength of our community and the belief that we have the tools to advocate for and keep ourselves safe and free.

Your generous gift of $2,500, $3,000, or $3,500 helps us to further the fight for justice, invest in impacted leaders like our Inside and Outside Fellows, and center the expertise of those most impacted in our policy work and programs as we work towards a liberated future. We are proud of what we have accomplished this year. Despite the challenges, we’ve made major strides. Our team has worked tirelessly, lobbying for the rights of our disenfranchised loved ones and stopping a record-breaking 100 harmful bills from passing through the California legislature.
