This studio project assignment aims to design and execute architectural spaces inspired by a genius in nature. Study a biomimicry of the Sea Anemone and how the environment and architecture can work together to make a better living condition which inspired me to design a get away hub that is a getaway from the advancement of the urban busy city because of the way the Sea Anemone lives.

This architecture serves as hub to gather people with the similar interests and lifestyle that allows people to relax, be isolated, have little connect with the advance urban city and be independent amongst each other. It is independent because of the way the sea anemone live. The sea anemone is a close relative of a coral and jellyfish. It is mostly found to be alone and away from other sea anemone. In this case, people who wishes to be temporary disconnect from the busy city would be able use such facilities. However within the facilities, the community has to cooperate with one another to gather supplies outside from the architecture.

There many different types of sea anemones that comes in different shape, sizes, lengths, widths, and colors, however its biology systems are identically the same. Sea anemones does not skeleton structures in its body but instead its whole organism structure is form solely from its muscles. Sea anemones swims freely on its own, it is an animal and not a plant.

The site is made up of two islets: Pulau hantu Beasar and Pulau hantu Kechil. At low tide, it is possible to wade across the shallow lagoon between the two islands but not at high tide. The only accessibility to the island is by chartering a fast work boat from West Coast Pier and indoor to stay the over-night one must obtain a permit from sentosa and provide Southern Islands Management with all the necessary information at least seven days in advance.

Whenever the stinging cells/ nematocysts its bio-mechanisms is stimulated, within the tentacles, a tiny trap door opens up to reveals a spring, similar to a loaded harpoon as it lunches to the prey and begins in ejecting venom into them like a hypodermic needle.

Swaying during the deep sleep

-A shared place where the community of people sleep, they would be sleeping on a hammock attached to the ceiling.

-Allows ample of sunlight and wind to enter the architecture.

One’s own space

-Their private spaces when ever they will to be alone or gather with other people

Collectibles necessities

-The community leaves the architecture only to collect or buy their daily needs and would store them.

Stored personal belongings

-This is where the community store their clothings and personal items

Replenished nutritions (kitchen)

-Where the community make their meals.
