A splash of extra virgin olive oil 300g chorizo in slices (vegetarians can leave this out) 1 chopped onion 4 chopped cloves of garlic 150ml Spanish red wine 10 chopped tomatoes 1 tsp smoked paprika 2 tsp hot paprika 2kg cleaned mussels A handful of chopped fresh coriander Brown or rye bread

Method

Place a large pan over high heat. Add a splash of olive oil and fry the chorizo for 2 minutes.

ClassiC iberian ham world famous

Jamón ibérico is the ham from the iberian pig, originating from the iberian Peninsula. These pigs live freely in forests. They feed naturally if they are destined for top quality ham.

Fresh Iberian hams are salted with the best sea salt and then left to dry for two months. Then the salt is rinsed off and then they are dried another four to six months. The ham starts its curing process which takes from one to more than two years.

The pig’s feeding is of extreme importance. So much in fact that the ham is classified by it. There are many myths in regard to classifications, for example, that jamón pata negra (black leg ham, referring to the color of the pig’s hoof) is the best there is. The only Iberian ham official classification allowed is as follows: Jamón ibérico bellota is the highest quality: free-range purebred Iberian pigs raised on grass and acorns. This ham has black or red label. Most of them have appellations of origin (D.O.P.) Jamón ibérico cebo campo: pigs who are allowed to eat from nature and are also fed with cereal and vegetables. This ham has green label.

Jamón ibérico recebo: pigs fed on cereals. The ham is high quality, cured for 24 months and has the white label.

FERNANDO ALONSO For the 37-year-old Fernando Alonso one of the 3 spots on the Formula 1 podium has been hard to obtain this year. But he can look back on surprising achievements that show how he is still very much among the elite even after 15 years in the sport. Alonso is still considered one of the top 10 Formula 1 pilots. In 2018 he finished 11th in world championship (50 points). His best result was a Fifth in Australia, the best he could do all season.

“I need to recharge my batteries”

Alonso could have beaten Lewis Hamilton to become the third driver to take five world championships – behind Juan Manuel Fangio and Michael Schumacher – had he taken just a handful more points in his career.

Alonso has raced the equivalent of twice around the world which is 20% of the way to the moon.

Alonso is the only Spaniard to ever win the Formula 1 World Championship. Or a Grand Prix. Or take a pole position.

He finished 15 times out of 21 races this year. At least his car has been reliable for him.

McLaren clocked in 442 laps which is one more than Mercedes and 20 more than Ferrari.

Alonso scored 50 of the team’s 62 points, and outqualified Belgian teammate Stoffel Vandoorne 21-0, the first driver to whitewash his teammate since … Alonso himself (Nelson Piquet Jr in 2008).

In Baku, he became the driver who has won most positions during a race in the sport’s history.

Was Abu Dhabi, where Alonso performed a series of celebratory donuts on the startfinish straight after the race with fellow multiple world champions Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, really the last time we’ll see the Spaniard in F1? Is he retiring? Time will tell. Fernando Alonso is not ruling out a return in the future. He says: “I need to recharge my batteries, but by 2020 the Indycar season could be a possibility, just like a full season in F1 or another championship.”

Mission accomplished when Federico Villagra went for the victory in the Rally de La Rioja 2018 last summer.

Federico Villagra had to fight with Alejandro Cancio (Chevrolet) and won with 44,2 seconds.

In the RC2A division, the local César Folledo (VW) took the victory over the Tomás Maranzana from Córdoba (Clio), by 5m14s2/10. In the RC2N, Luis Arceluz (Mitsubishi), was unstoppable for his rivals and took the victory ahead of Agustín Elvira (Mitsubishi) by 1m54s and the local, Ernesto Lord (Mitsubishi) by 5m08s1/10.

Among the Juniors, Mariano Preto (VW) got his second consecutive victory, beating the champion Nadia Cutro (Toyota Etios), by 35s3/10 and the local, Antonio Tallón (Ford Ka) by 1m20s4/10.

Finally, in the RC5 division, Alfredo Calcagni (Ford Ka) won the victory ahead of Martín Maisonnave (Ford Fiesta) by 15/8/10 and Damián Ibarra (Ford Ka), at 23.44/10, in a close fight.

CANNABIS OIL TREATMENT This treatment method is experimental by cancer patients.

Most are able to finish the entire treatment in 90 days.

WEEK 1

Start with 3 doses daily, about half the size of a short grain or rice.

WEEK 2 - 5

At week 2 you will double your intake every 4 days.

You should now be able to consume 1 gram per day. Ingest 1 gram / day until your 60 gram supply is gone.

WEEK 5 - 12

It usually takes the average person about 90 days to ingest the full 60 gram or 60 ml oil treatment.

The Rick Simpson method recommends people start with three doses per day, each dose about the size of a half a grain of short grained dry rice. The patient should take this dosage every 8 hours: early in the morning, again in the afternoon and then they take their final dose of the day about an hour before bedtime. It should also be noted that as a patient begins to ingest this oil, the patient does not normally feel the effect of the oil until about an hour after they have taken their dosage.

A beginner’s dose as described would equai about ¼ of a drop. After four days at this dosage (taken three times a day), most people are then able to increase their doses by doubling the amount of their dosage every four days.

By following this simple procedure, many patiens have reported that they did not experience the high, which this oil can cause. But in truth no two people are the same and we all have different tolerances, so some will naturally be able to up their dosage more quickly than others. In reality, even if one does become what is commonly referred to as “high”, this will not harm them in any way as long as the oil was properly made. This is especially true if the oil being ingested was produced from sedative Indica-dominant strains of cannabis (as opposed to heady sativa strains).

An average person takes anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks to get the point where they can ingest 1 gram or 1 ml of oil per day.

Once patients reach this dosage they continue at this rate until their medical issues are brought under control. By this point, patiens tend to build a tolerance for ingesting the oil, making it much easier to consume larger quantities at a time.

Note: Children often take the same dosage as adults with nodetrimental effects, although you should always consult with your healthcare physician first.

Michael Jackson painting starts crying The Michael Jackson portrait painted by artist Peter Engels was water damaged in a French art gallery during a nightly storm. As a result, it looks as if Michael cries.

As if teardrops roll down his face.

It looks like a supernatural phenomenon. As if Michael Jackson wants to tell us something from the grave. Artist Peter Engels is not superstitious, but he thinks that the tears give the painting an extra dimension. The artist tries to find a plausible explanation for this: “I painted this portrait on the island of Lombok. To give the oil paint more texture, I mixed beach sand in it. Normally oil paint can tolerate a splash of water. But apparently not when it is mixed with this sand.”

Michael Jackson’s right eye started to tear when rainwater seeped in the gallery where the artist had an exhibition. Artist Peter Engels: “I will leave it this way.

Mother Nature gave the painting the perfect finishing touch.”

Prepare your visit Nerja is located at the Andalusian coast, 1 hour drive from Malaga. Also visit the precious white village of Maro. Drive to Nerja and visit the worldwide famous Balcón de Europa, a marvelous viewpoint in the historic centre of Nerja. Good food in both villages Maro and Nerja.

The exact address of the Caves of Nerja is Carretera de Maro, s/n, 29787 Nerja. You can visit the world’s longest stalactite (33 m high) and Stone Age hunters’ paintings.

You can get to the Caves of Nerja by car, by bus or by taking advantage of the hopon-hop-off Cueva Train.

1. Download the app. Find all the information and direct links to the ticket purchase web page. The app is available in Spanish, English, French and German.

2. Book tickets in advance. Avoid long waiting lines and book online. Choose between several tours. Show up 10 minutes before the scheduled entry. Entries are allowed every 30 minutes. Opening hours on the website.

3. Cave concerts in summer. During the summer Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de las Cuevas de Nerja, concerts and ballets are performed in the caves, especially in an amphitheatre-like chamber. Tickets online.

4. Wear warm hiking clothes. Comfortable, sturdy shoes for the sometimesslippery ground and steps. A jacket or sweater for the lower temperature in the caves.

5. TOP TIP: Avoid the crowds by taking a special tour. Pay a little extra for a small group special tour after hours. Well worth it. Really makes a difference being only a dozen people in the cave.

1. Taxi, Uber or Cabify Madrid has good and safe taxis. But both Uber and Cabify save you more than €10 on a €30 ride from the airport to the city centre. The metro or airport bus only cost €5.

2. Sleep just outside the city centre Stay in Retiro, Salamanca or even better Chamberí. Hotels for every wallet here.

And it is only a short walk from the centre.

3. Go for breakfast in the city Spain is famous for fantastic coffee, bread, pastry and eggs. Many hotels charge €18 for breakfast. But you could have a feast for a fraction at a good cafe. Don’t hurry, many of the best breakfast or brunch spots only open at 9AM.

4. Visit the markets Madrid is famous for its ‘mercados’. Great for tapas, wine and other foods in informal dining halls. Mercado San Miguel is popular and worth a visit. San Ildefonso and Mercado San Anton are more low key and ‘muy bien’.

5. Try the different wines Do not focus on just one kind of wine. Try them all. There are fine wines to discover at around €5 to €8 per glass.

6. Visit Reina Sofia or Prado You could visit the world-famous Prado museum with artwork from old masters like Goya, Velasquez, El Greco or Rubens. If you prefer the more contemporary art, visit Reina Sofia. You’ll get to see ‘Guernica’ and many more. Few paintings in the world rival the fame and emotions of Guernica, the iconic Pablo Picasso painting depicting the bombing of Basque country.

7. Visit the parc or botanical gardens Parque El Retiro is an absolute must. Beautiful, peaceful, and free. The botanical gardens next door are great too and charge you €6.
