EM Abacus Building Blocks (EM ABB) utilizes a progressive learning approach to enhance students’ fundamental mental math abilities, while also improving listening and processing skills. Recognizing the diverse learning styles of students, our program integrates visual, kinesthetic and auditory learning strategies through the use of both a digital and physical abacus as manipulative tools. Additionally, we incorporate a game-based approach to make learning enjoyable and engaging.

The Easy Math Abacus image exercises and high-speed hearing allow students to practice using the left hemisphere (logical side) to manipulate the right hemisphere (abstract side) simultaneously. Our uniquely designed exercises aim to nurture and strengthen brain function and can result in numerous cognitive benefits such as: enhanced mental arithmetic, increased memory capacity, development of logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

EM ABB3-Block 3 is the third part of the EM ABB3 digital book series for teachers, parents and caregivers of preschoolers and kindergarten students. Building on the previous unit, students will learn to utilize the method of complements (of five and ten mixed) for both addition and subtraction in the same question. Through the consistent practice of bead manipulation on the abacus, students can improve their hand-eye coordination and refine their fine motor skills.
