WELCOME TO THE SHOW

Welcome to the second show of the 2023-2024 season of Wichita East Theatre! The cast and crew have worked so hard on this show and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it. This production is truly such a fun and entertaining show!

We’ve had an amazing 2023-2024 season and can’t wait for our next few events! In a few weeks, East High will attend the Jester Awards with a total of 7 nominations for our production of Guys and Dolls!

We ask that you turn off all electronic devices and place them into silent mode. Please refrain from any photography or video of this performance, as it is prohibited by law.

MEET THE CAST MEET THE CAST

Cyrus Morris (Colonel Mustard), senior, is happy but sad that this is his last show at East. Cyrus plans to pursue Musical theater at AMDA in New York You may have recognized him in MTW’s production of Finding Nemo Jr. as Prof. Ray, East's Love Of Three Oranges as Truffaldino, Legally Blonde as Prof. Winthrop, and Wichita Community Theatre's Our Town as Si/Joe Crowell Cyrus would like to give thanks to his family & friends and a special thanks to Mr. G for everything!

Dorothy Arnold (Singing Telegram Girl), sophomore, is so excited to partake in her first play at Wichita East High School. Despite this being her first role on the stage, Dorothy has actively participated in theatre productions, working tech and sound When not in theatre, Dorothy actively engages with the community as Miss Juneteenth ICT and can be seen participating in Orchestra. Dorothy is sending gratitude to all those reading and involved Enjoy the production!

Haley Hudson (Miss Scarlet), senior, is thrilled to make her final appearance on the East High stage Previous roles include Annelle Dupoy in Steel Magnolias, Princess Clarisse in The Love of Three Oranges, General Cartwright in Guys and Dolls, and other Repertory Theatre performances When she’s not on stage, Haley can be seen working behind the scenes, co-leading the school writing club, or laughing with her friends. Big shoutout to G and all of Haley’s family and friends for believing in her and pushing her to put herself out there Enjoy the show!

Izel Franco-Mathur (Yvette), junior, is thrilled to be back performing on the East High stage for her third year You may have seen her in previous East productions including We Will Rock You (Teen Queen), Mamma Mia! (Ensemble), and the 2023 District Musical, Legally Blonde (Ensemble) You also might catch her in the choir room singing for East's Chamber Choir! Izel would like to say a special thank you to her parents for all their love and support. Enjoy the show!

Jayna Walter (Mrs. Peacock), sophomore, is excited to perform in her first play at East! You may have seen her as Arvida Abernathy in Guys and Dolls earlier this year or in the ensemble in We Will Rock You! last year Outside of theatre, she is currently singing with the Wichita Grand Opera in their production of Candide as well as participating in Ensemble Club, Orchestra, Choir, and IB. Jayna would like to give a special thank you to her mom for all her love and support.

Jeremiah Roberts (Mr Boddy, junior, is excited to take to the stage for his first time at East! He's been on the stage since his first musical in 8th grade. As he goes further along in the path of acting, Jeremiah is interested in the horror and comedy genres Enjoy the show!

Jordan Gardipee (Professor Plum), junior, is elated to be in Clue! You may recognize him from this year's shows as Big Jule or King Silvio or from last year's spring play as Orcus! Jordan wants to thank his family for their continuous and extreme support and G for these opportunities to act and grow! When not acting, you can catch Jordan running the writing club with Haley Hudson!

Kilian McGaffin (Wadsworth), junior, is thrilled to be playing Wadsworth in his tenth show here at East! You may recognize Kilian from his role as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls earlier this year, or as Prince Tartaglia in The Love of Three Oranges. Kilian is a participant in debate and forensics, and wants to shout out his family and friends for their support. (Shoutout to Weston!!)

Naomi Madison (Unexpected Cop), senior, is excited for her last Spring Play at Wichita East High School Debuting in her sophomore year as 'Snout' in A Midsummer Night's Dream, she has been a part of several school productions since then. Her favorite past roles include 'Evil Gabbi' in She Kills Monsters and 'Pantalone' in The Love of Three Oranges. While being an avid thespian, Naomi is also an intellectual, being enrolled in the IB Diploma program for all four years Naomi has learned a lot about performance from everyone around her would like to say to G for introducing her to theatre, and her parents for supporting her throughout her entire high school journey.

Olivia Gates (Mrs. White), senior, is thrilled to be a part of Clue. She was seen in The Love Of Three Oranges and stage manager for Guys And Dolls this year This is her fourth main show production that she will be acting in, as well as her tenth main stage production overall. She’s excited for her last show but also feels a bit sad She would like to wish all her underclassmen well as she passes on her torch Olivia thanks everyone who has been a part of her East High theatre journey.

Olivia Sanchez (Cook), freshman, is so excited to be a part of Clue! This is her second East High production, and first play. Olivia has been in many shows in middle school, as well as with the Wichita Children's Theatre She is a part of the IB Program and the varsity girls golf team.

Quentin Aragon (The Motorist), senior, is excited to be apart of his last theater performance at East You may have seen him as Joey Biltmore in Guys and Dolls. You may know him from the F'EAST Deli, Student Council, Younglife, or any of the other 10 things he's apart of Quentin is thrilled to be apart of this amazing endeavor! He would like to say a special thank you to his Parents, Michael and Lisa, along with his little sister, Eliana. Quentin would also like to say a thank you his family, friends, and everyone who has supported him throughout the years! Enjoy the performance!!

Reggie Hunt (Mr. Green), a senior, is both thrilled and bittersweet to return for his final performance at East High after roles in Guys and Dolls (Harry the Horse), The Love of Three Oranges (Leandro), and We Will Rock You (KatyPerryLadyGaga/Ensemble). Engaged in East High Fine Arts since sophomore year, Reggie has also performed in productions like Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind and Par For the Corpse in theatre class performances. He extends his heartfelt gratitude to the incredible cast and crew for their amazing collaboration everytime, with a special acknowledgment to Mr. G for providing the platform to showcase his talents in this farewell performance. Reggie expresses deep appreciation to his supportive friends and family for their unwavering encouragement throughout his theatrical journey thus far.

Weston Uptmor (Chief of Police), junior, is dying to participate in Clue He has participated in several plays and musicals before, including Guys and Dolls and the Love of Three Oranges. He also participates in several music groups outside the school. Enjoy the show!

Clara Rusco, sophomore, is dying of excitement to put on Clue! You may have seen her costume work in all three shows last season, as well as the district musical, Legally Blonde, this year's fall play, The Love of Three Oranges, and this year’s musical, Guys and Dolls. She also has experience in wigs, assisting Music Theatre Wichita in Beauty and the Beast, and is helping out with spotlight for Clue as well If you haven't seen Clara's work, you may have seen her singing in East High's Select Treble Choir, doing her loads of homework as an IB student, or killing it in her favorite cardigan

Frankie Isaac, junior, is very excited for future plays and musicals. This is her first time on crew. You may hav seen her in previous East productions such as: We Will Rock You (Ensemble), the 2023 District Musical: Legally Blonde (Ensemble), Love of Three Oranges (Feast Guest/Princess Nicoletta), and Guys and Dolls (Ensemble).

Hannah Cunningham, freshman, is thrilled to be returning to theatre for Clue! You may have seen her costumes in this year’s musical, Guys and Dolls, as well as the fall play, The Love of Three Oranges. If you missed out on those productions, you might have seen her in her usual skirt and leg warmers combination She hopes the audience will find themselves dying of laughter at this show!

Jae Larrea, junior, is looking forward to the end of the theatre season They hope that the costume designs look simply drop dead gorgeous on the stage You may recognize their work from past contributions to East High shows, such as Mamma Mia! and She Kills Monsters, as well as from the ICT Fashion Tour runway.

Karla Martinez, junior, is thrilled to participate in a East High production one more time this year as running crew and they cannot wait to see whats in store for the next. Helping build sets and see everything come together in the end is something they will never grow tired of! They're thankful for this amazing experience and for all the equally amazing people they've been able to meet because of it

Kaso Grossman, senior, is very excited for you to see this performance of clue. However she is feeling a little bittersweet as this is her last show at east high school. Kaso would like to thank her brothers, Nolan and Gage, for not abosoring her in the womb. Kaso would also like to thank her grandma and grandpa for going to ever show and bringing her flowers everything. Finally Kaso would like to thank her parents for putting up with her schedule and supporting her dreams for the past 18 years.

Madeline Hoge, freshman, is super exited to be doing running crew for the first time She’s been in The Love of Three Oranges and Guys and Dolls before as an actor She also plays clarinet in the Freshman Band

Njaila Davis, junior, has done seven shows at East high Her very first show was The Marriage of Bette and Boo, her freshman year. For that show, she worked spotlight, but one day G asked her to help screw something in and work on putting things up. Later, she ended up backstage moving sets and doing fly lines and has loved it ever since. She likes working backstage because the rush of doing things makes it fun and exciting and she can’t wait for more shows to come.

Quentin Pickering (the ginger one), senior, has only started working with tech crew at the start of his senior year. While he prefers staying out of sight working in the back, that doesn't mean he'll shy away from the spotlight if the opportunity presents itself After working sound effects for The Love of Three Oranges and the upcoming play Clue, as well as monitoring orchestra pit for the Guys and Dolls musical, he hopes to pursue his audio interests further once school is out And he loves you all very dearly

Sabrina Andress, sophomore, is drop dead excited for this year's spring play, Clue! This will be her 7th show doing costumes. She strives to maintain an equilibrium of theatre and her schoolwork in the IB program. And if you haven’t seen her working backstage in costumes or onstage in East’s Select Treble Choir, her mismatched shoes are always a dead giveaway.

Sage Lessman, sophomore, is thrilled to be a part of this production of clue. You might have seen some of her work in We Will Rock You, Legally Blonde, She Kills Monsters, and many more! She is excited to continue her work in theatre for the rest of her high school career

Savannah Hess, sophomore, is excited to be back running lights for East theater You may have seen other shows she has worked on, such as Guys and Dolls, and She Kills Monsters Apart from theater, Savannah enjoys running lights and sound for other events, most recently being East's Multi Cultural Showcase.
