Spring programs - 2025 Helpful information

Accommodations:

If you or your family have questions about inclusion or would like to request a program accommodation, please email Programs@Easton.MA.US. We will do our best to modify aspects of our programs to provide accessible activities.

Waivers:

Waivers are required for all town programming. For youth programs, guardians will need to sign forms on the participants' behalf.

Drop-in Programs:

No need to register, just arrive at the time the event is taking place and enjoy!

Maximum/Minimum Participants:

Due to program structure, some of our activities will require upper and lower participation limits. Programs that do not meet lower limits may be canceled, refunded, and rescheduled.

Refunds:

Programs cancelled or with unanticipated changes in schedule will receive a full refund Requests outside of 2 weeks will receive a full refund Requests within 2 weeks of a program will not receive a refund. Punch cards (Fitness and Art) and swim memberships are non-refundable. All other refund requests are at the discretion of the Community Programs office We will not refund credit card convenience fees. All refunds will be done via check unless otherwise stated.

Punchcards can be purchased online, with the QR Code below, or at Frothingham Hall during regular business hours. Passes can be picked up prior to your first class at the front desk at Frothingham Hall Programs with pre-registration are not eligible for punch card use See pricing below!

Spring programs - 2025 Summer Jobs

Our summer jobs are a great opportunity to gain professional experience and build your resume while meeting others in a fun and high-energy environment. All staff members will be scheduled around their availability.

Staff will primarily work between 8:30am and 3:30pm supporting our School’s Out:Summer Program, with some evening shifts available. Any questions regarding our open positions can be sent to Programs@Easton.MA.US

Program Support Staff: $15-$17/hr

Help to run fun activities such as youth sports, arts and crafts at our summer program!

(CPR/First aid/AED training required prior to first shift)

Schools Out: Pre-K/K Program!

Schools Out: Pre-K/K Program!

What to expect:

The Town of Easton will be putting on a Pre-K/K School’s Out Program to offer parents with a reliable option for care after their little one wraps up school. This will be a half-day park program that has all the same features as a summer camp. Sign up today and start your child’s summer off right!

When:

6/10-6/13. From 9am-12pm.

Registration:

Program signups are open for the week. We will set our initial maximum for each week at 25 children. As we hire additional staff, we will increase our registration limits accordingly.

When registering, please be sure to set up your family members in our new registration software - Rec Desk!

We also ask that families make our office aware of any pertinent information for their child related to allergies/medications/other details to allow for a successful program!

What to expect:

Join us for our Schools Out: Summer Program!

This program is designed to offer a safe, fun, and engaging environment for all children that provides parents with a reliable option for care immediately after the end of the school year. This years program will run longer, adding more weeks than last year! Sign up today and enjoy our themed weeks, arts & crafts, sports, special guests

6/17-8/1 (no program on 6/19 and 7/4). From 9am-3pm, before care is available from 8am-9am.

Grades from entering 1st- entering 6th. Counselor in Training for 7 & 8th

How much?:

Weeks with holidays: $180

Weeks without holidays: $225

Before care - $15/week

CIT’s: Rate for weeks 1-3 is $225, weeks 4-7 is $330

Registration:

Program signups are for each week. We will set our initial maximum for each week at 40 children. As we hire additional staff, we will increase our registration limits accordingly.

Spring programs - 2025 Adult Sports Programs:

Varying levels of instruction covering the rules and basics of Pickleball. 4 week program run monthly. Private/Group lessons are also available upon request. Email Programs@Easton.ma.us for details. All lessons will take place @ Unionville Courts at various times. Registration starts 3/1 for our April session Min/Max 3 and 5 per group. Waitlists are available for each session.

Morning Pick-up Pickleball...............+18yrs

The Town of Easton has reserved 5 Pickleball Courts at the Unionville Park from Monday-Friday, 8:00-noon, from mid-April -through mid-November (weather permitting and excluding holidays) for coordinated pick-up play. You must be registered to play to participate Signups can be found on the town’s registration portal. No experience or equipment is needed! All levels are welcome to join. Play will be set up in a 4 on, 4 off rotation using a whiteboard will be implemented when all courts are being used and other players are waiting to play. Players can communicate prior to each session using the Play Time Scheduler App. Registration opens 3/1.

Pickleball -Doubles Ladder Leagues.......+18yrs old.......$85

Ladies only - Social activity, Wednesdays 5:30-7:30pm. 4/9-6/25

Advanced-Beginner - Social activity, Mondays 5:30-7:30pm. 6/3-8/26

<3.5 DUPR League - Competitive, Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm. 4/10 -6/19.

>3.5 DUPR League -Competitive, Tuesdays 5:30-7:30pm. 4/8 -6/24

All leagues are held at Unionville Courts unless otherwise stated at registration. Partners are not needed for signup as players will rotate. For DUPR leagues, facilitators will routinely verify participants reported skill level to ensure fairness.

Co-ed Pickup Soccer........................+15yrs old......................$45

Easton's Coed Pickup Soccer registration is open to all men and women 15 years and older. These games will be social and competitive in nature. Participants will play against other individuals of all skill levels. Players should bring a dark and white shirt. 4/14-6/16, 9am-10:30am on Sundays @ Keach field. Registration will run from 3/1 - 4/14, with a Min/Max of 20 and 40 participants.

Spring programs - 2025 Adult Sports Programs:

Women’s Field Hockey League.......+18yrs old................$70

Easton's Adult Women’s Field Hockey registration. These games will be social and competitive in nature. No practices, just play. Participants will play against other individuals of all skill levels. There will be no goalies. Play will take place on Sundays May 5, 12, 19, June 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30. 7-9pm @ OA turf.

Registration runs from 3/5 - 5/5, with a Min/Max of 25 and 50 participants. Skips 5/25.

Women's Pickup Basketball..........+18yrs old..................$35

Competitive pickup league with other Easton residents. Games will follow either 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 models depending on daily attendance. Activity schedule will be Tuesdays 4/2-5/21 (no games 4/16) from 7:00-9:00pm in the Oliver Ames HS Practice Gym. Registration is currently open and will close on 4/2. Min/Max: 15 and 40.

Men's +30 Pickup Basketball............+30yrs old.............$65

Competitive pickup leagues with other Easton residents and non-residents. Games will follow 5v5 models. These games will be social and competitive in nature. No practices, just play. Participants will play against other individuals of all skill levels. Monday's 7:00pm-9:00am. 3/31 - 5/19 (No games April 21st). Oliver Ames High School, Nixon Gym Min/Max 15-30

Men's +21 Pickup Basketball...................+21yrs old..............$55

Competitive pickup leagues with other Easton residents and non-residents. Games will follow 5v5 models. These games will be social and competitive in nature. No practices, just play. Participants will play against other individuals of all skill levels. Pickup: Wednesdays 7:00pm-9:00pm. 3/19 - 5/21 (No games April 23rd). Oliver Ames High School, Practice Gym. Min/Max 15-30

Spring programs - 2025 Youth Sports Programs:

Join our fun team-oriented boys and girls T-Ball League! Players will learn basics on how to hit, throw, run and field. Players will need their own gloves, but all bats and helmets will be provided. Teams will be led by volunteer coaches and team t-shirts will be provided. Games will be played throughout the week at Ali’s Park – 74 Pine St, S Easton MA. 4/29-6/14. Registration is now open, and closes 3/21/24. Max of 110 participants.

Easton’s boys and girls middle school track program aims to ignite an interest in running, field events, and healthy habits. This program is open to all participants regardless of ability. Our coaches will teach nearly every event. Practice is held at the OA Track on Mondays & Thursday strating 4/22 from 4:00-5:30pm. This is a competitive program and will involve travel to other schools in the area. While hosted at School facilities, this is a town-run program. Any questions can be sent to Programs@Easton.MA.US. Registration runs 3/3 - 4/17. Max of 90.

Join us for this sports program for children of all abilities! Kids will learn the fundamentals of track and field and flag football. Sundays at Ali’s Park, 4/276/22. (No class 5/25). Timeslots available 9-9:50, 10-10:50, and 11-11:50.

Spring programs - 2025 Youth Sports Programs:

Youth Field Hockey Clinics............K-8th

grade....................$50

Current OA Varsity Head Coach, Alexandria Sylvia, along with our supporting coaches, will be leading a spring skills program to teach kids interseted in playing field hockey! This session is open to kids in grades K-8. No Experience Required. Thursdays 7/10-7/31 5:30-7pm 4 wks @Oliver Ames High School, Turf Field. Min 30, Max 50. Registration will open on 4/1, and will end on 7/3. Min/Max of 30 and 50.

Girls Youth Pick-up Field Hockey

..3rd-5th.........................$45

Friendly pick-up field hockey for kids of all skill levels. Games will be social and friendly. No practices, just play. Oliver Ames High School, Turf Field on Saturdays April 5th - May 10th (No Games May 3rd) 6wks. 12-1pm or 1-2pm depending on weather and changes to varsity schedule. Players must provide their own required equipment: black shorts/kilt, stick, shin guards, mouth guard and field hockey goggles. Registration opens 3/4.

After School Running Club

.........3rd-5th.............................$50

This program introduces participants to the joys of outdoor activities and running. Each day will include various dynamic and static warm ups, running, running games and stretching. Our club creates a fun environment where kids develop an enthusiasm for running and fitness. A town staff member will meet kids at Richardson-Olmsted and escort them to the field at dismissal. Practice is at the Multi-Purpose Field next to Blanche Ames and various safe routes including Frothingham Park. Thursdays, April 3rd -May 22nd 3:00pm-3:50pm. (No session 4/24)

Spring programs - 2025 Fitness Programs - Movement & Energy

Georgi’s Bootcamp ............+18yrs old..............................$55

This boot camp will kick-start your fitness routine and challenge you in new ways. All levels welcome but don't expect leisure! Light weights & resistance bands will be provided for this cardio, strength and resistance training, however, you can bring your own hand weights too. This runs for six consecutive Tuesdays, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm @ Frothingham Hall. Registration opens 3/15. Min/Max of 10 & 25.

Zumba Gold ...................+18yrs old......Drop-in+Punch card

A rhythm and movement-based class designed to get your heart pumping! Tuesdays 12:30pm-1:20pm @ Frothingham Hall w/ Marlene Intermediate level. All equipment provided. No registration needed!

Movin & Groovin' Fitness..+18yrs old.Drop-in+Punch card

Join us for a movement-based cardio program that incorporates weights, dynamic movements, strength, and flexibility! A new way to get fit at Frothingham! Tuesdays 2pm - 2:50pm @ Frothingham Hall w/ Georgi Beginners welcome. All equipment provided. No registration needed!

Tai Chi .............................+18yrs old...........Drop-in+Punch card

Take part in this gentle Tai Chi session to start your week. This class is a great way to build balance and learn the dynamic poses of Tai Chi. Mondays 9am-10am @ Frothingham Hall w/ Vince. Beginner level, no experience needed. No registration needed!

Strength for Seniors....+18yrs old......Drop-in+Punch card

This fitness class provides a unique blend of cardio and strength exercises for older adults. This is great for all skill and strength levels. The program takes place on Wednesdays at 9am - 9:45am w/ Marlene at Frothingham Hall. Beginner level. No registration needed.

Balance & Strength .......+18yrs old.....Drop-in+Punch card

Join us in workouts that target key muscle groups that help with functional strength, balance, and flexibility.

Fridays 9-9:50am @ Frothingham Hall w/ Dorene

Beginner level. All equipment provided. No registration needed.

Forever Young & Fit........+18yrs old....Drop-in+Punch card

A fun and dynamic workout class that helps preserve strength and mobility. Great for seniors looking to step up their fitness journey. Wednesdays 12:15pm-1:15pm @ Frothingham Hall w/ Deb B. Intermediate level involving dynamic movements. No registration needed.

Dementia Support Group....+18yrs old........Drop in +FREE!

This group is for anyone caring for a loved one who has been diagnosed with a form of dementia. It will give caregivers a space to talk with others walking through similar situations. Takes place on the first and third Friday at 12:00pm @ Frothingham Hall

Grief Group......................+18yrs old...............Drop in + FREE

A community support group for those who have lost a loved one. Hosted by an experienced grief counselor. This activity takes Place on the 2nd Thursday and 4th Friday at 11am-Noon @ Frothingham Hall.

Healthy Eating Group........+18yrs old................ .......Drop in

Join this support group for residents on their own journey to healthy eating. This is a great social activity for members of all ages. Enjoy group discussion, recipe sharing, and themed luncheons! Fridays 10am-11am @ Frothingham Hall w/ Joan No registration needed! Monthly fee to be discussed with the instructor to support group luncheons!

Learn and express yourself through the lifetime activity of painting at Frothingham Hall. Ongoing self-guided and group projects. See the instructor for material lists!

Spring Floral Arrangement........+18yrs old...............................$5

Join Easton’s Garden Club for their seasonal floral arrangement program. This fun and fresh craft will give you a beautiful decoration to go home with. Registration opens on 3/1. The event will be at Frothingham Hall on 4/9 at 1:30pm. Limited to 18 participants.

Lets Paint..................................5-12yrs......................................$35

Join us for this exciting paint party! Kids will foster their creativity with this guided paint program! All paint, brushes, canvas is included in the registration. A great new drop-off program for friends and siblings! Best for ages 5-12yrs . Scheduled for 4/16, 6:30pm-7:30pm @ Frothingham Hall

Min/Max: 10/20. If you enjoy this program, be on the look out for more sessions coming on 5/14, and 6/11!

Family Fishing Clinic................All ages!....................................$10

Have you ever wanted to learn how to fish? Now’s your chance, let the MassWildlife Angler Education Program be your guide. We’ll have equipment on hand for use. This is not a kid only program, but an all-inclusive fishing clinic for anyone of any age that wants to learn how to fish. The program will be held at New Pond 597 Foundry St S Easton on Tuesday May 20 from 5-7pm. Min/max of 15/40 registrations. There is no residency restriction for this program. Program cost $10.

Friendly Feud............................+18yrs

It’s just like Family Feud, but with a few twists no fast money round, but there will be plenty of laughs and brain-teasers Bring your friends, neighbors, teammates, or come solo to team up with new people! It will take place on Wednesday, April 30th from 12:30pm-1:30pm at Frothingham Hall.

Bracketology Contest!.............All ages!.................................Free!

Compete against other residents in a battle of brackets. Participants will build their brackets on ESPN and fight for bragging rights and gift cards to our programs! Sign up today on RecDesk and receive a link to our town run group. Deadline to sign up will be Selection Sunday and deadline to complete your bracket is tip of the first games!

Easton’s Egg Hunt!

Come out and search for some eggs as we celebrate the start of Spring! An Easton tradition for our youngest residents. Best for ages 2-8yrs old. $5 per child. Registration is not required, but will be used for notifications regarding weather. 3/1/- 4/11. Event date Saturday, 4/12 @ Keach Fields. Rain location of Oliver Ames Gymnasium.
