Congratulations again on your acceptance to Eastern University! We are excited to welcome you into our Eastern Community. Our Admissions team and other Eastern offices are here to support you and answer any questions you may have.

In preparation for your transition to college life, we have created this packet to include all of the important items you will need to transition to life at Eastern. To ensure a successful start, we encourage you to review these materials carefully.

Registration for Fall classes begins April 8. Your academic advisor will contact you about the diagnostic tests you must take, as well as assist you in course registration. Your advisor will regularly correspond with you through your Eastern email. Please be sure to check this often to ensure you do not miss any important communications.

HOUSING:

Housing Application

Staying up-to-date on housing information will help ensure that you have a wonderful transition to residence life here at Eastern University.

Regular communications will be sent to your Eastern Email, including instructions on the housing application process. All first-year students must fill out a housing form, including commuter students. Housing requests are prioritized by housing application submission date. Housing assignments will be sent out starting in June.

Housing Assignment

Once you receive your housing assignment, we encourage you to connect with your roommate. All incoming first-year students are housed in our Themed Communities. STUDENT LIFE:

Diving into Student Life is an important part of the EU student experience! As a new student, you have the opportunity to join our 40+ student-led clubs and organizations.

Dining Experience

FINANCIAL AID, BILLING, & PAYMENT PLANS

FINANCIAL AID:

The Financial Aid Office at Eastern University provides information and help regarding grants and scholarships, student loans, on campus employment, and financial aid for students.

STUDENT ACCOUNTS:

The Student Accounts Office manages student billing and payments at Eastern University.

Payment Plans

Eastern provides a variety of payment plans, allowing you to enroll in one up to two months prior to the commencement of the semester. You can enroll in a payment plan through our website or by contacting the Student Accounts Office. We highly encourage you to learn more about the options available.

CLASS REGISTRATION:

When registration begins, your advisor will contact you through your Eastern Email to begin the registration process. Your advisor will assist you in creating your schedule and registering for classes.

If you are interested in exploring the required materials for your courses, these items are available on Eastern’s Bookstore website at eastern.edu/bookstore.

SUPPORT SERVICES:

The Cushing Center for Counseling and Academic Support (CCAS) is dedicated to serving Eastern University students who need academic, psychological, or disability services.

Services are offered at no extra charge to students currently enrolled in degree programs, contingent on demand and staff availability. Services provided by CCAS include:

• Tutoring

• Counseling

• Academic Accommodations

• Housing Accommodations

PUBLIC SAFETY:

About Our Safe Campus

At Eastern University, our goal is to provide a safe college experience for all of our students, faculty, and staff. Eastern’s Public Safety Department maintains an excellent working partnership with local safety services. Together, EU Public Safety and Radnor Township provide police, security, and safety services to Eastern’s campus community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Emergency alerts are an important way to stay safe! We strongly encourage all students and families to register for Eastern’s emergency text alert system, e2Campus.

Student IDs

Your Student ID gives you access to important buildings on campus as a student. Complete the steps needed to receive your Student ID prior to arriving on campus. For detailed steps, visit eastern.edu/studentid.

Parking Pass

First-year students are eligible to have their car on campus, space permitting. We recommend interested students fill out the application as soon as possible. Visit eastern.edu/parking to submit your application.

General Questions

For general questions regarding Public Safety procedures or operations, please reach out to security@eastern.edu. For questions regarding parking permits, your Student ID, or related procedures, please reach out to servicestop@eastern.edu.

HEALTH CENTER:

Our health center supports our students by providing robust health services through medical care, counseling, and education.

All incoming students are required to submit their Immunization Record, Medical History, and Insurance Card. We require students to upload these documents through the secure EU Health Portal before August 1st at eastern.edu/healthportal.
