Eastern Kentucky University has selected your county to be part of PELL Plus. Through PELL Plus, eligible out-of-state students pay EKU’s in-state tuition rate and can qualify for EKU’s merit scholarships, putting a high-quality education within reach.

Be eligible for Federal Pell Grant assistance as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Federal Pell Grants help students with exceptional financial need earn a degree. A Pell Grant typically does not have to be repaid.
Merit Scholarships
PELL Plus allows eligible out-of-state students to qualify for our in-state merit scholarships. They’re awarded based on your high school performance, so it’s automatic — no extra steps needed.
In addition to your Federal Pell Grant, EKU’s PELL Plus program helps make your college dream even more affordable.
As a PELL Plus student, you can apply for other EKU scholarships, like foundation scholarships, to further reduce your costs. Keep in mind, the total awards can’t exceed your expenses.
