If you’re starting college at a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) school, you can finish your degree with a game-changing education at EKU.
The Colonel Connection program gives you a direct path from KCTCS to EKU. Take classes at KCTCS while jointly admitted to EKU and make progress toward your degree. Then, when you’re ready to make the move to EKU, it’s easy. No stress, no fuss — just you, focused on finishing your degree.
BENEFITS
SAVE MONEY:
Your KCTCS transcript will be exchanged each semester at no cost AND eligible students can take up to 12 hours of EKU classes at the KCTCS price.
Must be currently enrolled at KCTCS and EKU.
STAY ON TRACK:
Your Colonel Connection advisor will look over your KCTCS plan and make sure you’re on the right path.
WATCH YOUR PROGRESS:
After each term, check your EKU DegreeWorks account to see how close you are to earning your degree.
TRANSFER SEAMLESSLY TO EKU:
When you’re ready to join EKU, you don’t need to re-apply. Just chat with your Colonel Connection advisor to lock in your GPA for scholarships and set you up for classes. at EKU.
HOW TO JOIN COLONEL CONNECTION
SEND YOUR RECORDS
Include college credit, high school dual credit, and exam credits like AP.
KEEP YOUR GRADES UP
You’ll need at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be in good standing with your school.
Note: Already in your last semester at KCTCS? Apply to EKU as a transfer student instead.
