Greetings from the Alumni Association:

Another year has come and gone, and what a busy year it was for the ECU Alumni Association! I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to connect with so many of our alumni over the last year. During the fall of 2011, the Alumni Association, along with the ECU Alumni Office, hosted the first ever all-inclusive membership drive with a goal to reach out to ALL of our alumni. We were able to connect with more than 28,000 alumni and gained 267 memberships from alumni and friends of the university! We feel this was a huge success for the ECU Alumni Association and have received many compliments about the address labels included in the packet. If you would like to order more address labels please contact the Office of Alumni Relations, alumni@ecok.edu or 580-559-5651.

The 2011 “All Roads Lead to Homecoming” events were a huge success! The Golden Tiger brunch and reception had over 240 Golden Tiger alumni in attendance, 18 teams entered the alumni golf tournament and over 80 runners participated in the 5K race. Thank you to all who participated in those events.

It’s because of YOU that we are able to assist as many ECU students as possible through various grants and scholarships. With the help of our alumni, friends of the alumni association and sponsors during the 2011/2012 school year we were able to award over $13,500 in grants and scholarships, benefitting over 200 current ECU students and 2012 incoming freshmen. I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support of YOUR alma mater!

The fall semester is here again and that means homecoming is right around the corner! On behalf of the association, I invite you back for “A Super Tiger Homecoming” Oct. 5 - 6, 2012.

There are so many events for you and your family to enjoy. We will kick off homecoming weekend on Friday with our annual golf tournament. Saturday starts off bright and early with the 5k run at Wintersmith Park followed by the Golden Tiger brunch and parade, as well as the coronation ceremony and homecoming football game! For more information and to register for many of the 2012 Homecoming events, visit our website at www.alumni.ecok.edu.

There are so many ways to get involved and stay connected with ECU. As always, I encourage you to check out the campus events calendar at www.ecok.edu for more information on events and activities going on around campus and in the Ada community.

It’s a great time to be a Tiger and I look forward to seeing you on campus this fall! Go Tigers!
