The year 2014 has been an exciting year for ECU Alums so far and there are still many exciting times to come. In May the Dallas/Ft. Worth Alumni were hosted by ECU Alum Steven Denson of SMU at the Meadows Museum. Then in June we enjoyed a good time at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa put together by Dr. Willie Hughes, Chairman of Special Events Committee, with the help of Monica Suffal and Katie Wellington. Homecoming this year looks to be a Haunting time on Oct. 25. We hope you will bring your family and friends to join us for A Haunting in Tigerland…Fear the Tiger! It’s always fun to meet new ECU alums of all ages and walks of life. We invite you to join the ECU Alumni Association and be a part of the ongoing Tiger Tradition. Membership is only $35 annually. Your membership fees help pay for the reunions as well as provide scholarships and grants. Become a member online at www.alumni.ecok.edu or contact the ECU Alumni Office at 580-559-5651 or alumni@ecok.edu. The ECU Alumni Association has joined the ECU Foundation and East Central University in a new campaign that will benefit the University and students as well as alumni in a great way. Stay tuned for information to come from the Chair of the Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees, Craig Scheef. Craig is a 1985 graduate of ECU and 2005 recipient of the Milam Award. He is passionate about ECU and has many visions of how we can help the school excel in many aspects. Please let us know how we’re doing. We look forward to any suggestions or ideas that you would like to share. Contact either Katie Wellington at 580-559-5651 or Elizabeth Vezina at evezina@aol.com.
