Historically, the kitchen was seen as the woman's domain, a place where she was expected to manage the household's food supply and prepare meals, often without recognition or autonomy.

In my village there is one house that Can reach into the space of another world. In my village, Mama Bahija’s son, Adil, Came back from his trip to the other world.

Walking underneath that same sun, His shiny shoes were once again soiled By that precious dust of our dirt road. On his back, he carried a new world.

Adil promised to bring back another one, So that we’d have the world at school too.
