Dear Brothers and Sisters, Welcome to our 8th Annual High Level Networking Luncheon! After 2 years, we are finally gathering together without shifts and at a safe and social distance, and it feels great to be here with you. With you, we have managed to continue doing the work that moves Contra Costa’s economy forward and today we hope you will have the chance to speak with colleagues and friends about what is new on the horizon and how we will continue responding to our communities need for infrastructure, housing, and transportation. You are our partners, and we will build with you! Over the last year, we have: • Supported and helped to elect politicians that are friends of working men and women • Successfuly negotiated numerous PLAs that will serve to invigorate local economies with its local hire provisions • Enhanced and grown our world-class apprenticeship facilities that will create the next generation of skilled and trained crafts men and women In the months ahead, we will: • Extend the reach of our MC3 pre-apprenticeship programs • Continue to fight for fair and livable wages and benefits for working men and women Please enjoy yourself today – eat and catch up.
