Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO

12th Annual High-Level Networking Luncheon

FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 2026

Welcome!

Dear Friends,

It is so good to be with you today – as a culmination to quite an Election cycle and to celebrate our 12th Annual High-Level Networking Luncheon.

Nearly one and a half years into the job as Executive Director for the Council, I have been working hard to build upon the successes of my predecessors, and to expand our reach and relationships within the community.

The crafts that our Council represent are the backbone of Contra Costa’s economy.

We are working to ensure that our affiliates’ members have meaningful jobs to support their families and the communities in which they live. We cannot do this alone. We do this with you, our partners from the private and public sectors.

Thank you!

I committed myself to seeing that we:

•increase hours for our members through new Project Labor Agreements throughout the county

•Maintain Contra Costa’s refineries and preserve vital jobs for our members

•Attract new industrial users and employers to create additional jobs for our members

Today, let’s enjoy our special bbq lunch by Englund’s Catering, a cold drink, and the time for networking with our Council leaders and members, elected, community, and business leaders. Together, we ensure that Contra Costa’s economy is resilient and strong.

Thank you for supporting Construction Trades Workforce Initiative (“CTWI”), our nonprofit partner, that works to see their pipelines and training for the next generation of skilled workers!

In Solidarity,
