Welcome to our 10th Annual High-Level Networking Luncheon.

It is hard to believe that we have been gathering for ten years, but the calendar does not lie. Our event was started by the Council’s long-time CEO and friend, Greg Feere, as an opportunity to bring together Contra Costa’s labor leaders, elected leaders, partners, and friends for an afternoon of (yes!) networking. We began modestly at the Centre Concord, working with Englund’s Catering to break the mold on the sit-down luncheon, and Derry and his crew never disappointed.

As we were hitting our stride, needing to find a larger space to accommodate our growing guest list, the pandemic hit. Again, you stuck with us when we went creative and brought us out of our zoom squares to be together in the parking lot of IBEW Local 302’s Union Hall and continue our conversations with one another.

As soon as that once a century event was behind us, we moved here, to the City of Martinez Waterfront Park. We are grateful to the City staff for working with us to make the event flow smoothly in every way. We are grateful to our Event Sponsors for rising above and beyond to see that we succeed in every way. We are grateful to our tribute ad purchasers, our ticket purchasers, and guests. Together, you bring this event to life. You make it the “High-Level Networking Luncheon” at which people are wanting to be –to dream, to plan, and to build.

Our Council, with its leadership and affiliates’ members, recommits itself to do the work we must to see that Contra Costa’s economy is resilient and strong. Thank you for supporting Good Jobs for Contra Costa County (GJCCC), a social welfare organization that works on issues and initiatives to lead and enhance the opportunity for better jobs in Contra Costa County. Together, we will continue to grow. So now, enjoy your afternoon!
