Understanding Best Practice with Early Excellence
At the heart of Early Excellence lies a deep understanding of how children learn and the importance of establishing a well-planned, rich and stimulating environment to underpin children’s personal development and academic achievement.
We offer much expertise to support staff development and specialise in helping practitioners to understand the link between the environment and the curriculum – and how each area of provision can be effectively resourced, organised and managed to create rich and meaningful learning opportunities.
Our Curriculum Model helps to illustrate the Early Excellence approach, and our ‘Guide to Outdoor Provision’ explains in greater detail the learning potential of each area, with planning included for all areas of outdoor provision.
Deep level involvement with carefully planned enhanced activities that connect with children’s interests

How our Collections Support Progression
Full of great potential for learning, our ready-made resource collections will help you to fully equip your outdoor curriculum with rich opportunities for investigative, imaginative and creative play. Our Outdoor Collections have been designed to maximise learning opportunities for all children between the ages of two and seven, supporting continuity and ensuring progression of skills and understanding.
Always assess risks and support the use of resources according to the age and physical ability of individual children.
2-3 Years Collections
We have designed collections specifically to support the learning and development of children between the ages of 2 and 3 years. These collections are carefully aligned with common schema and children’s developmental stage, physical ability and cognitive skills.
Tools, equipment and materials are appropriately sized and easy to manipulate, providing opportunities for open-ended exploration alongside adults.

The Core Collections
Each Core Resource Collection contains a wide range of carefully curated resources offering all children between the age of 3 and 7 years meaningful opportunites for learning and development.
The collections offer rich opportunities for investigative, imaginative and creative play, as well as promoting independent problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration.
resourcesOpen-ended to build structures
KS1 Enrichment Collections
Selected areas offer an additional Enrichment Collection designed to sit alongside the core resources, providing further challenge for children in Years 1 and 2.

How to Order
Ordering is Easy
However you order, you can pay by credit or debit card and if you are an existing customer you can pay on account, requesting an invoice to be sent to you. For schools and settings wishing to set-up new accounts simply complete the online form or order as usual and we will do all the work!
Delivery of Resources
We take great care in packaging your goods and aim to deliver resources within 5 working days and furniture/stores within 10 to 15 working days of receiving your order. Delivery charges vary dependent on the size and value of your order and are applied at checkout. See our website T&Cs for details. Delivery to Northern Ireland, Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands and internationally incur additional charges, please enquire.
Installation
The metal outdoor stores are fully assembled and installed onsite by our delivery team. There is small charge for this service. Please note that you MUST have prepared, prior to installation, a firm, flat and level base in either concrete, tarmac or flagstones. The Compact Stores must be placed on a flat, level surface. Our installation team will bolt the store into the surface for added stability.
Variations
Many of our resources are produced in a variety of colours and styles and may vary slightly from those shown, however we guarantee that you will always receive the same quality and value.
Returns
We hope you are pleased with your new resources, but if for any reason they are not quite right, please contact sales@earlyexcellence.com within 10 working days of receipt to return the unused items. Please note, the outdoor stores are non returnable once delivered and installed.
