Did you know… That EAO now offers new “push-in” terminals for their most popular series of switches and indicators – Series 04 PIT contact blocks? Push-in type terminals are a widely accepted method of proving easy and efficient electrical contact connection within industrial applications. The new Series 04 PIT contacts (push-in terminals) feature a Phoenix Contact spring terminal connection which reduces assembly time by up to 70% as compared to traditional screw terminals. Plus, no additional equipment is needed to take advantage of this labor and cost saving mechanism. The Series 04 PIT benefits any application where fast and reliable assembly techniques are a top priority, specifically transportation, mechanical engineering, and process automation. The Series 04 PIT offers a more reliable, secure connection in combination with a very high resistance to vibration. Moreover, the cable connection is accomplished without any tools. To achieve a secure connection, one only needs to push the stripped wire-end into the spring terminal; this will apply the correct pressure to maintain a secure connection over the lifetime of the switch. EAO’s PIT accepts wire sizes from 16 to 26AWG, offers protection against contact according to the IP 20 standard, and a mechanical lifetime rating of up to 3 million operations.

Push-in terminals connect to any of the Series 04 actuators, including square and round pushbutton versions, two- or three-position lever switches, key lock switches, emergency-stops, and large-headed buttons. Most of these products are available with LED illumination. The EAO Series 04 has been upgraded with the following three products with push in terminal technology: a snap-action switch element (gold/silver), a slowmake element (gold/silver), and a lamp block. The elements are stackable, providing the flexibility to use up to six contacts per switch. Contact blocks are available in 1NO, 1NC, 2NO, 2NC, and also in a 1NO/1NC combination configuration. For additional information on these products, please consult the online datasheet found within the available literature section of eao.com.
